petition to rename milky gateron yellows to 'dijon' switches, rolls off the tongue x

Does your sweatshirt come with those keycaps that you ordered? Because it matches perfectly 🙃
there is actually a keycap accent set to match one of his sweatshirts, it's called GMK Mr Sleeves :)
I have lubed gateron black inks and got a 90 pack of these milky yellow's and although I love me my heavy springged (sprung, sprungged????) black inks my wrist and ears sure do love how soft and smooth these cheap little gateron milky yellows can be. It's not being a switch snob because for the pricing of these switches, even after modding them you're really not out a whole lot of money and if you're a switch/keyboard enthusiast, you're going to mod your switches regardless so these little guys are awesome.
2:11:46 you know the drill :3
Interesting comment about Korean neighbours. I’ve lived across from a Korean family for 20 years. They definitely keep to themselves!
post more of your streams. I love to ahve your videos in background while I work and play games! :D
Keep the vids coming they are awesome man
i could watch this all day
i'd like to ask if there's a way you could do some content on possible reasons for key chattering and how you approach this problem; there are approaches in other videos but i think your expertise is unique
Hi! Do you have a video on how to tune stabilizers? I've tried every video on YT and none of them seem to get the nice sound you get.
"i don't know what this white stuff is"

I just got my first mechanical switch tester! Tealios are the best feeling linear to me, but I don't have that money... decided on some Gateron Yellows which also feel great!! How different do the milkys sound/feel from the normal yellows?
can you link me the switch tester you got?
@Disciplexeon The Operator oh but then you lube the milky yellows, and deep, non scratchy sound. amazing.
pleasing sound and i dig the yellow on grey keycaps
What kind of solder are you actually using? I'm asking because when I soldered my KB I had lots of flux residues and I had to thoroughly clean it with isorpop alcohol ...
your streams are pretty relaxing
i can imagine the owner of this board crying while watching the stream
Why?
@@greenfox41 this was just a scuffed build all around. the owner couldn't even name what the board is.
the scuff is real
The website linked in an earlier comment for the mouse pad no longer works. Is that the only place that that mouse pad is offered?
Sorry for the dumb question, what are the difference between lubed milky gaterons, lubed basic yellows and lubed yellow inks?
All different materials, yellow inks have a travel of 3.4mm instead of the normal 4. Milky Gateron Yellows have different housings and bottoms which makes the sound more milky however it tends to be more scratchy than the other yellows.
I bought the milky yellows but mines look different, the bottom is black, but they sound good
yo those deskmats @37:45 tho :D
Is there a way I can buy one or are they just concepts?
Is there any big difference between the Gateron Yellows, Gateron Milky Yellows, or the Gateron Yellow Inks? Are any one of these superior compared to the others?
There's a huge difference between the Yellow Inks and Milky and standard Yellows, mainly being different housing which drastically changes the sound, but it is much more pricier. Milky have a slightly different top that makes it a little more scratchier but a better sound than standard yellows.
What keyboard is that one, which is connected to PC? Is this a custom keyboard? Where can I get it? Any advice will be great guys.
You can go watch his video on it :)
ruclips.net/video/GJngvBtZ0ek/видео.html
can some one please answer me about gmk key caps and gaming. i know they are supposed to shine from use, but what are peoples opinion on them in regards to them being used primarily for gaming, everyday.
Hey, where do you get those screw holders that you have at the top left of for Mouse Mat?
rama
Is milky yellow better then milky black???
Does anyone know anything about the premium looking trays he has in his desk? The black, purple, and chrome trays at the top left of his desk. Will someone please steer me in the right direction!?
Where i can find this deskpad?
Idk, but you can find cool ones like that one on novelkeys website
Just my style with probably my favorite switches.
are the milky yellows rgb compatible?
@@mateojimenez5905 any switch is. but they are called milky because of the housing. rgb switches are transparent housings
@@abdomination cool thanks!, so would these let thru enough light or should I just go with something like the smd yellows instead
@@mateojimenez5905 SMD is the type of led not the switch. But this would let in enough light
@@abdomination alright thanks for all the help! I'm in the process of ordering the parts for my first custom keyboard. Man is this hobby interesting
Does anyone knows what is the name or where can I buy that mousepad? Thanks!
What software is used to test the pcb I'm new to building keyboards :)
You can Google keyboard tester and a few link will pop up
so i just lubed my gateron blacks, but i find it really hard to press them down on the side of the keycaps, can anyone help, or does anyone know a fix?
its a binding issue with the keycap ur using
What's the name of the website for typing practices?
so i don't know about luxury key switches but in poor man switches what would these come close to?
omar diaz gateon yellow is fairly cheap & smooth, very smooth when lubed.
@@TharsimanHarry thank you
they're really fast but I reckon they sound a lil scratchy and have that weird sound when pressing the spacebar, other than that really nice!
What webside is he using for his typing tests?
typetest.io
I love gateron yellows they sound so niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
What site is he using to type test now?
Can I ask which website do you use for keyboard testing?
typetest.io
@@aidanyy3176 Thank you. But I meant the website he used to test the pcb,not typing test.
It's a program / app called VIA
Could someone with experience with JTK and GMK give me a comparison? I don't know if there's a massive difference in feel and sound. thanks
to me they feel about the same, and the sound is different across diff gmk caps anyway
jtk just looks a bit worse depending on the tooling, i like some of the colourways in jtk better but other than that jtk overall is just a cheaper alternative to gmk
hana desu I appreciate the feedback thanks!
What is a good keyword for new imcoming players to the pc gaming world?
Anton Peterkin depending on what you are after any cheaper Chinese board with gateron or outemu switches are fine. If you wanted a more custom board try a hot swap board, they are a little bit more expensive but it’s very convenient.
disregarding keyfeel, the performance difference between a 5$ rubber dome, 20$ chinese mech and 300$+ custom are so minimal they might as well be identical. if you wanna buy into marketing crap, get any keyboard that advertises "shorter actuation distance, faster keypress in game!!!11"
where do you find your insane mouses pads??
Slyde dixiemech.com/taehatypes they are great quality and actually cheap
.
@@diegomartin5611 You are the man for this link, thank you.
No idea how he gets all these parts so easily, Been trying to make the keyboard I want for 3 months but EVERYTHING is out of stock everywhere lol :(
if you're talking about the clients, they order straight from vendors or get it second-hand. almost all the builds taeha does on stream are commission builds.
@@ltsjoke5443 That makes sense then. I could get a Geek GK61 kit that comes with a rgb pcb, switch plate, aluminium case. But not too fond on the software
@@Kizzster Thats one of the worst thing to have to deal with starting out building. I wanted to build one but shied away from it because the one Aluminum TKL case I wanted was a one time run.
It’s a GB based hobby, if you want custom that are in stock, u need to pay a fortune from /mm. Or some low-mid end from kbdfans or like monstergear. All High end board are all in GB style.
@@Kizzster I have a gk61 myself, it's a great starter/test-bed keyboard to find out which switches work best for you. however I do not recommend getting the aluminium one, but dont let us tell you what to do with your money. the gk61 is compatible with about every tray mounted case and plate off KBDfans, so your upgrade options are still there. software is all in chinese, I dont have much luck navigating it, your results may vary. you dont need dummy cash to enjoy keebs tbh, unless you have an elitist mentality like a lot of these folks :).
Do you ever work on keyboards with numeric keypads?
no bc theyre useless
There are hardly any custom board with numpad. But 99% of the boards he builds support VIA og QMK. So they can be programmed with completely custom layout. So many of em have numpad on a FN layer, so characters change when button is pressed.

Very good video 🤩🤩🤩
I thought the milky Gateron housings are pretty scratchy.
what front camera you are using ?
eos R for both of them

Hello, Nathan, this is not a Tiamo, whoever bought it must have gotten scammed. I contacted the maker of Tiamo and it is clear and confirmed by him that this is not a Tiamo keyboard.
He wants you to remove the title and fix the misinformation if it is possible.
You're cringe bruh, stfu.
Tiamo should contact Nathan directly .. not thru a proxy in a RUclips comment where it will drown.
@@vaffens Tiamo has no access to Discord or a fast way of contacting him, because these platforms are blocked in China. So we international friends of Tiamo and the group who see this are the voices of the owner of Tiamo. Have a good day.
@@gira2000 well problem is ... I am also a friend of Tiamo and he endorses this video and it's content. He thinks it is great exposure.

How are milky gat yellows different from normal gat yellows?
subjectively looks better, and apparently slightly less smooth but with deeper sound. indistinguishable during normal use, but milky is (was? maybe they fixed it idk) prone to keybinds
@@uwaa4467 would you say that milky gats have a more thockier sound than normal gats?
i've heard that swapping out the bottom housing with a black bottom housing from a normal gat would reduce the scratchiness of the switch (plus some lube and possibly films as well)
@@andreatan97 maybe just a _little_ thockier, if at all. i can't distinguish sound difference outside of different housing (inks are thockier than other gats), keyboard, films, surface you mount the keyboard on etc
milky is slightly scratchier , and I can really only differentiate when trying really hard to do so. milky bottoms are also very inconsistent in my case in terms of off axis press and smoothness, so i'd say definitely avoid milky bottoms (or not, maybe they retooled them and i just didnt know?)
u w a a they fixed it, i recently got them
I somehow dislike tkl. Can someone explain why? Isn't this everyones favorite layout?
I guess I don't like that tkl wastes space near arrow keys. It really pisses me off because I love when there are keys there
It's legit all preference....
Try milky clears!
how tf do you type so fast then say that you did bad

can you create for me a keyboard
WOW
Ngl this board looks like buttcheeks. Owner got 100% scammed and the PCB is already burn damaged. Sounds kinda bad too like those manufactured branded pre-built mechs.
Could you cut up the stream
This person should really ask for a refund.
why
The person thought it was a Matrix 1.2OG i believe, the pcb is just totally scuffed, problem with the screws not being tightened and all, therefore the noise problem with spacebar. The person probably over paid quite a bit for what he/she got
pog
think i played valorant against you lmao
Sounds stock
