Q1:With the low row cable being a 2to1 ratio as opposed to the lat pulldown being a 1to1 ratio, do you find yourself maxing out on low rows?
Q2:Can you fit 45lb plates using the bare steel pin or does the weight shield get in the way? - if not what is the max amount of weight you can fit on it?
Q3:Have you tried something like the rogue solo pulley attachment and attaching it to the lat pull down cable to make it 1to1?

    • @BasementBrandon

q1: I don't think I've used the full stack but by the time I get to those movements I'm already a few movements deep and tend to be aiming for higher rep work.

@@BasementBrandon @TheXILLR The Rogue Solo won't work on the original Prime Single stack that doesnt have the side holes. But it will work on the updated one they have now. My opinion on this machine is its very hard to do everything right but i think its best for Back and Tricep work. It also is good for some Shoulder and few other things. I also have the Step up platform which I use for a few Leg exercises. I like this machine a lot.

I've had mine for a while now and I have to say I am completely disappointed in it. It's bulky, the adjustable part is clunky. When I got it, it was delivered and it was already damaged. I wanted it replaced and the company was not very helpful. I feel the pulley is also NOT very smooth compared to other pulley machines out there. Overall, I would not buy again

    • @BrandonSchwartz1

Their wheel design for replacing plastic guides for the plates just is not smooth for whatever reason. Tried one of these at another guy’s house and it was night and day compared to a bolt fitness pulldown which was buttery smooth.

The overcomplicated bearing set up on the guide rods is on all of the older strive equipment as well and everyone I have picked up used or tried made the same noise. Not sure about the newer prime selectorized equipment as the set up with the add on weights for the stack looks different and is probably not noisy.

I'm not sure to be honest. I use my extra space in my current rack for so many other things, I don't think I'd want a cable system inside it. Especially seeing how people seem to be annoyed with the REP trolleys and cabling.

I have a Rhino in my rack for pulldowns and other cable exercises and feel like it works quite well. I've often wondered if something like a Voltra would provide an equivalent cable exercise experience, or if maybe rigging up a couple could mimic a functional trainer, but I was shocked when I saw the price of those things. You could probably do something like HomeGymHangout with a couple of Rogue CT-1s and some storage in between by the time you paid for a couple of the Voltras. That's probably an exaggeration, but maybe not a huge exaggeration. I guess a limiting factor of the CT-1s could be the height.
