I agree, single leg roller is the best as far as feel and setup time. I don't wanna be hassled with a long setup time cuz I'm already irritated I have to do Bulgarian split squats 😅
Best thing about split squats for me, is holding the DB in the opposite hand to the front foot and really trying to keep the sternum and nose over the knee and it helps tons with internal rotation which has great translation to the squat (again, anecdotal)
I’ve been doing BSSs working on some even foot pressure, too. I grabbed a kids pull-up bar from Matte Black November, and throw a barbell pad on it for an adjustable leg roller (and the kids use it too). Also joined the dark side and bought some 35s with the $5 shipping.
Solid. I literally ordered one last night to replace my Rep one. The Rep leg roller was annoyingly floppy and I hate how lopsided it was. Only 1 grey one left as of right now.
I know it's not what you're getting at here but if you wanna get gassed as hell do elevated split squats for high reps. If you're not used to it you'll be seeking an oxygen tank lol

I felt this
1:33 meant to say front foot elevated.
Always find the roller more comfortable
As the great philosopher Ludacris once said, "roll out!"
This is why I like Ares as it is quick to set up cable accessories. Dumbbells are the other item as they are quick to setup.
Agreed, a cable selectorized stack goes a long way!

agreed!

When is a review on that new rack going to drop? 👀👀
Soon, last pieces should be in this week or next.

ONE OF US, ONE OF US
Agree. And with a pad, the are awesome for Nordic curls.
💯
How does this IF rack compare to your old rack?
I'll do a video on it in the next week or so, was just waiting on another piece or two for it!
Roller is at the top of my list for next purchase
luckily it's a cheaper option compared to some other pieces!
Leg roller are much better than a bench or other alternatives for me
Agreed!
My straydog alpha roller rusted right through their black coating on the steel components of the roller. So annoying. Lol
Really? Did you reach out to them?
Welcome back to the weekly roll up
😅
Someone really cool bought me a leg roller and I hate him for it every time I use it.
😘
I'm always curious what equipment you use and when. Mostly which barbells are you using for each movement?
I'll try to discuss that at some point!
Hi! Are you interested in reviewing Major Fitness packages?
I am not.
Who makes this roller?
That looks like a Stray Dog Strength Alpha, Brandon can clarify
Yep, spot on!

do you have a program recommendation for a novice?
There are some great free beginner/intermediate programs on The Strength Athlete website under freebies. I like those a lot.
@@BasementBrandon Thanks Brandon. I will check these out. Huge fan of the channel for a long time.
i want to see some lotion on the knees next week lol
Dry down here in the basement

Even here at like 15 reps I feel it, the life of a powerlifter lol.
just put your foot on a bench like a normal person
Given the choice, most would chose the roller 😉
