Can't stop listing to TWoD since I've first heard them. Just great songs creating an amazing and unique atmosphere of freedom, peace and a sense of sweet yearning.
So awesome. I love how he doesn't give the guitar parts any less attention even as an acoustic version as i've seen a lot of people do (including myself). Can't wait to see him at Hopscotch in September! Awesome and beautiful work.
I agree. The sound of that album is ruined with excessive echo and reverb -- like they're trying to make them the new Pink Floyd. At least here you can understand what he's singing.
Keith Otis Edwards I disagree, I realy love the flanger/reverb/phaser solo's on this album. And the world is about ready to have a new Pink Floyd wouldnt you say? I absolutely love this, and agree with James Thomas on that acoustic album tough.
Saw these guys I'm Edinburgh earlier this year and they were brilliant. What a show. Hope to see them in Scotland again soon... hopefully a bigger venue next time.
Amazing concert from Adam and the band in Auckland earlier this year. Love all their music but great to see it all stripped back here and the chords he is using. Time to dust off the acoustic guitar!
Thank you so much CARDINAL SESSIONS again introduce me to, The War on Drugs killer music man i got it first time, then spent the whole week researching them blown away going to buy tickets to see them live very soon thank you again CARDINAL SESSIONS. NICE!

Oh my god. Years of being a fan and watching this and I’ve only just realised he’s playing the same Fenix D-90SR acoustic as me here which are already very rare so the chances are mad. Mind blown.

It’s a Fenix D-90SR! I’ve had one a few years and only just spotted he’s playing one here. Really rare and they’re a Martin D-45 copy which is mad because I’m sure he could afford a real one, but it is a beautiful sounding and looking guitar.
Think it's actually a Fenix D-90. I had one and couldn't find out a lot about them, ended up selling it quite cheap. This vid makes me regret that a little.
Beautiful song Adam Granduciel has a way of singing but if they were going to sit him in a random place to sing why not do a little social expirement and do it in the caribbean or somewhere in India or off the coast of Africa... Not hating on Germany though (just an opinion from a Krisne loving Jam-erican)!

From the best album of this decade. Lost in the Dream.
What a ridiculously talented musician.
Yes, yes he is.
a poet.
effortless
8 years later, the greatest band in the world!
imagine laying on the grass at the park, closed eyes, and you hear this beauty.

Like if you want a The War On Drugs acoustic album!
It´s out now dude. They listened to you
@@omglolffs Ill never underestimate the power of RUclips comments again.
??
@@hypewalliams629 live drugs. LP.
@@omglolffs it's not accoustic.
My favorite track on this album. This version is excellent.
You can tell he has stripped this song from top to bottom and then can now approach it from this angle with a certain sense of calm and zen.
Damn, he can play.
I simply adore this track off Lost in a Dream Its blowing my mind literially.
me too dude
absolutely love it
Beautiful music, so pleasant and peaceful to listen to.

Absolutely fantastic how he can keep all band in just one guitar! 👏
Would love to hear the Lost in the Dream album done acoustically.
Would be spellbinding.
Full band acoustic? ERMAHGERD!

RED EYES!
What a song! I love the raw sound here, just guitar and Adam's voice. Always awesome to hear!
Another master of craft.

Song of the year.

Beautiful song, gorgeous lyrics! thank you
Never ever ask why is stopped buying records. I just want to hear this pure energy from artists with flaws and imperfection as the song should be.
Can't get enough of this
I like how he just accepted the children playing in the background..lovely version btw
Absolutely amazing. Greetings from germany!
Run away, I'm a traveling man
Been working every day
I watch you as you hesitate
Walking through the rain
I bet against the company, again
They try to redefine
Everything that I know and love
Gotta know you're mine
Yeah
Feel the way that the wild wind blows through the room
Like a nail down through the heart
That just don't beat the same anymore
That might as well be gone

It always gets so hard to see

There's a moon through the midnight rain
How can I surround myself in time and time again?
How can I be free?
Just wanna lay in the moonlight
And see the light shine in
See you in the outline
It never gets too dark to find
Anybody at any time
I'm at the darkened hillside
And there's a haze right between the trees
And I can barely see you
You're like an ocean in between the waves
❤I love Adam and TWOD ❤so thank you for sharing @Cardinal 🙏🔆❌❌❌🎧🎶🎤🎸
You can really hear the Bob Dylan influence in this one.
dude I was just about to say...
I agree that Bob has influenced him alot but i'd say this song shows his Dire Straits side more than his Dylanesque song writing
***** now that you have said that I totally agree
Interesting, hadn't thought of dire straights...
All musicians are influenced, why comment on it? It is what it is.
If you dont buy this lp ... stupid over 30 years its one the best classics. In the word.
best song from this AMAZING album
Loving the sound of that guitar :)
what kind of guitar is it though?
I think it's a Framus

Appreciate it...@jared @david
Where stay's the acoustic album
Sounds like the band uses no auto tune he sounds the same on cd and the same "live"
autotune is for none-musicians.

Does anyone know a tutorial showing how to play this song the way he plays?
Anyone know what shoes he's wearing?
do i hear NOFX in there somewhere??
Wish someone would do a tutorial, love those little embellishments but can't figure it out
niceee
must be the quickest capo-apply Ive ever seen
What guitar is that? Seems to say Fender on the headstock ...
It’s a Fenix. I have the exact same model and never realised he’s playing it here. Will check the exact model when I do upstairs haha
Help with the chords please? Looks like C, E minor, then im lost.
I find his acoustic solo stuff to be far more potent then the electric, band situation.
+itsjustaride12 no!!!!! both good, electric live is the best man trust
+ferris bueller yeah I can imagine. I bet it's amazing. He really is focused on tone and gear.
He needs to use Just for Men to lose that grey
