This guy has my guitar! I sold this guitar to a music store in SE Portland Oregon way back in 2008! With my 2 other brothers who were in a band together, since My 2 brothers have passed away, so I'm so happy to see this guitar again, makes me happy and sad, but me and my brothers loved that guitar. Amazing to see it living on a new life!🙏❤️
Reminds me of being in the car, as a kid, in the late 90s, early 2000s. In the rain. Driving from Toronto to Montreal, to visit extended family. Dad at the wheel, Mom reading a book. Man do I miss those days. Never knew things would ever get so hard. Thought the jubilation and shear joy of life, family, friends... it was all just a given. I dream about it in my sleep, still. And then I wake up, and try to find a way to make that my life again... not back, but forward. It won't ever be the same. But it might just do.
Introduced my dad to this incredible band a few years ago, he loved folk rock and great song writing of the 60s and 70s, he fell in love with TWOD. Being nearly 70, I obviously don't take to a lot of the computerised music that is created these days. That's ok though, it is just how the world evolves. However, this band seem to have that X factor for me. Very original and not just going with the trends. If they have a story to tell, they tell it. Hope they keep it up for a while yet. I will be listening.
Hello, Clerk. A few years ago, I too, came across this band; trawling the Internet for a "guitar" band. So glad that I did. It combined two things that I wanted: to see the film, Pan's Labyrinth and the aforementioned guitar heavy band. It sounds as if you have many amazing memories, as do I and the main thing is to keep making them so they have a reference point and keep them all in perfect clarity. Kind Regards, J W

It is an amazing album. I know their next album won the Grammy, but I really think it was to make up for not awarding "best album" to Lost in the Dream.
Jan 3rd ... Time to relive after what i lost , its what my dad always said , " just live alex , dont let what im going through , just push kiddo " 🖤💯 1 year later and i miss ya pops sorry my dad was an amzing comic artist and i thin he is left unoticed , so much passion from that man 💯
I'm sorry though it probably isn't much from a stranger online. My Father passed as well about 24 years ago. It is strange hard to cope with at first that was for sure. But hold on dearly to those memories you shared remember always your love for them. A comic artist you say that's awesome man take care and may Peace Love and Happiness be upon you and yours 💚
i heard this song about 9999 times and never realized that its for 9 fkng minutes! thats so long and didnt noticed, that really means that is such music good. (And im high as fuck)
My brother introduced me to this masterpiece just before we fell out. We are both so stubborn we still aren’t talking but listening to this makes me want to ring him and put my ego to one side.
yo ring your brother a hole `LIFE is short man `i crashed my car a week ago and im still here saw your coment had to tell you to sort your shit out `im not gonna let small shit fuck with my head anymore` ive never been happy with my life but im thinking hard about shit now `from NZ
I've only just discovered this phenomenal band. It's like finding a priceless hidden treasure! I fell in love with 'Under The Pressure' within seconds of hearing it. What a tuuuuune!!! ❤
My new favorite song :) Listening to this at work helps me get in a zone, concentrate and jam out, all at the same time. And yes, here's to happiness and love! Let's all be kind to one another and remember that we all see life from a different perspective; give each other a break. Here's to love and kindness and jamming out to awesome music :)
I wish I could listen to music at work. I seriously hate my job not because of the work but because it gives me no stimulation. It’s the same thing for 8 hours and I want out.
Idk about listening to this at work - I'm just doing so and I can't help "drumming" with my feet and I can't focus on work, I'm paying too much attention to the music. :D But if it works for you, that's great! Great song, or band.
@@MnemonicHeadTrip Wow, seeing your subscriptions is like seeing my own. :D And man, that's unfortunate. Have you thought about doing something in IT? Considering your interests, that might be something fitting, and you can probably listen to music at work then.^^
Ha. You just reminded me; need to listen to this right now. I can't focus on work either. Work shmerk. We can jam out together from afar. Short day, long weekend, woo hoo! Happy 4th!! 🎆
I saw this band last Saturday supporting the Stones in Hyde Park! I didn’t really know anything about them! I thought they were awesome! Truly beautiful, haunting, uplifting music!!!
One of the greatest songs ever written. At a time where music is made for the masses, written by old men, sung by actors, The war on drugs is an absolute diamond in the rough.
There's a limitless wealth of amazing music these days, you just have to dig a little deeper. The "music that is made for the masses" probably represents like 10% of current music, it's just in our face so much that we think it's all there is.
how come the "music for the masses" in the previous decades was amazing and the somewhat obscure was amazing too. This generation sucks with music. You have to admit that the only way to be popular today is to be good looking. Talent is secondary.
Damn this youtube should have the live chat sessions with comments section separately....I spend late night listening to these songs reading decades old comments don't even know if people are dead or alive who hold artistic view of life and music after all they ended like people before. Youtubr give us chance to talk our miseries and heart out.
Think I was searching for queen about a year ago "Under Pressure" so there's me intoxicated and depressed once again, think I clicked on this by accident. Listened to it all the way through, and then again, and again and again, started looking up there music. Found a comment on here about how it stopped a guys depression and stopped him wanting to give up. Never looked back from there on in. On hearing this in that very moment! My life just changed. I cried my eyes out realised changes needed to be made and cracked on with it. The War On Drugs what a band! Helped me massively reading that guys comment that night after hearing this. He said he heard it got into the band and all there music and it helped him and Boy it really helped me if they ever play in the UK I will be there.
And out of pure accident I looked away from my screen while scrolling, looked back and set eyes on this comment... Love it!!!" maybe we might walk past each other at that gig and never know it... and more important, the person who was born again might even be there!
They're touring Europe in 2022. Hope you make it there. Also, check out their new song called 'I dont live here anymore' which they just released today. Oh and the new album comes out this October!
Never forget the first time I heard this. My Dad found it and just told me to listen to the whole song while we watched the sun rise in the mountains in Breckenridge 4 years ago. One of the best 8 minute intervals of my life.
Heard it once before before going on stage with a local band I used to play with (I was the drummer). Had this blasting yesterday also in Dublin before going to see kings of Leon. To my surprise they were actually on the bill and they did not disappoint. If you can see this band live, do it.
There is an inherent beauty to psychedelic music, helping find colors, shapes, and angles in the world that might be so readily apparent in an everyday setting. Great song.
This is just straight up rock and roll music, it's even pretty simple and uses a very familiar song structure. It just happens to be nice and sounds good and has a good feel to it. Great song , but nothing even close to 'psychedelic' - people are so easily moved by colors and video
Still my favorite to start a workout. Plus remember the good days ofu life. With great friends and family and those I loved or love to this day..thank you all for your service to your country or just your way of living each day of your life...time to start looking forward to a new year and many new beginnings for so many. They say look in past to much you might get more educated by the mega seconds. Beat my dad thought that when he put that first dial up phone in Arkansas 63 agossss. Glad blessed I had honors to walk somewhat in his big boots..
I was doing a job at a guys house in Walthamstow a couple of years back and talking about music, he told me about these guys Listened to them since. One of the things I love about meeting new people is things we have in common and sharing information on those things.

It's hard to find words to describe how warm, beautiful and hypnotic this song is. I'm so glad I found this.
me too
Sometimes RUclips actually recommends something I haven't heard before and now like. This is a great tune.
Few are the songs I fall in love with ‘first listen’. Thanks a bunch to The War on Drugs. ‘Awesome! 👍🏻
The song that can make me stop having a bad day for nine minutes.
i heard this song about 9999 times and never realized that its for 9 fkng minutes! thats so long and didnt noticed, that really means that is such music good. (And im high as fuck)
or having a bad life
Te reconcilia con el mundo
For me 8 minutes and 57 seconds....
Underrated comment.
Stumbled across this song and fel in love with the war on drugs
My brother introduced me to this masterpiece just before we fell out. We are both so stubborn we still aren’t talking but listening to this makes me want to ring him and put my ego to one side.
yo ring your brother a hole `LIFE is short man `i crashed my car a week ago and im still here saw your coment had to tell you to sort your shit out `im not gonna let small shit fuck with my head anymore` ive never been happy with my life but im thinking hard about shit now `from NZ
You know I think I should get ahold of my brother myself I hope all is well with you Peace Love and Happiness 💜🌻💚
I spoke to him a week ago and managed to get it all out on the table and now feel like our relationship is stronger than it was before. ✌️❤
This was playing on the radio when I found out my father past. It will always be with me.
I've only just discovered this phenomenal band. It's like finding a priceless hidden treasure! I fell in love with 'Under The Pressure' within seconds of hearing it. What a tuuuuune!!! ❤
Very fine music, fine video... Peace and love out there.
We need to survive the 2nd t-rump travesty.
Que tal
I wish I could listen to music at work. I seriously hate my job not because of the work but because it gives me no stimulation. It’s the same thing for 8 hours and I want out.
Idk about listening to this at work - I'm just doing so and I can't help "drumming" with my feet and I can't focus on work, I'm paying too much attention to the music. :D
But if it works for you, that's great! Great song, or band.
@@MnemonicHeadTrip Wow, seeing your subscriptions is like seeing my own. :D
And man, that's unfortunate.
This is my ALL TIME FAVORITE TRACK....EVER!!!!
Remember the local indie radio station played this years ago been in love with them since
One of the best opening tracks on an album ever.
And one of the best albums ever.
This song is ridiculously addictive
Jajaja. Exacto. Llevo semanas escuchandola. No puedo parar
I sob to this over and over. It’s the greatest feeling ever…I’ll never stop.
INCONMENSURABLE, EXCELENTE, PERFECTO, SON UNOS CAPOS. SU CANCIÓN MARCÓ UNA ETAPA DE MI VIDA, GRACIAS.
What a fantastic song. I keep reading from older folks like myself that where is the good music of the past. Right here in front of your ears.
I feel like I need to share this album with every person I know
i know what you mean
Ohhhh you and both Anthony, I want to be their spokesperson and share the bliss...
Kyle G how about the three of us join forces and spread the word?
lol, same here, it's a beauty
I don't know if going and tell my friends or keep being selfish listening to this just for myself
Yes this band is amazing! I saw them last year and must say it's one of the best concerts i've ever been to.
I'd say they're pretty polished actually, cool band anyways:)
Music for the masses must be resisted. Stay strong. They can't break us.
how come the "music for the masses" in the previous decades was amazing and the somewhat obscure was amazing too.
Those opening notes, there's just so much in them. Depression, uncertainty, doubt, dread, fear, regret, and quiet desperation.
See it or Flick it. I hear you man, that is spot on. Amazing lyrics, instantly grabs you.
@@markdigital9350 Thanks that means a lot
Tickets to their 2022 tour go on sale soon, theres a few UK dates in there :)
This song gave you a rebirth
They're touring Europe in 2022. Hope you make it there. Also, check out their new song called 'I dont live here anymore' which they just released today. Oh and the new album comes out this October!
The greatest band of our generation. The War On Drugs.
Well, what I love most about this band is.....🤔 EVERYTHING!!! ❤
Never forget the first time I heard this. My Dad found it and just told me to listen to the whole song while we watched the sun rise in the mountains in Breckenridge 4 years ago. One of the best 8 minute intervals of my life.
you likely will never forget that moment. it's called GREAT music!! stay safe out here in 2020...
Is that brackenridge Queensland
Great Band....... I'm new to them the past 12months.....promote... promote... promote..👌
Love you folk that get it , peace!
Heard it once before before going on stage with a local band I used to play with (I was the drummer). Had this blasting yesterday also in Dublin before going to see kings of Leon. To my surprise they were actually on the bill and they did not disappoint. If you can see this band live, do it.
It's Friday today and I can't stop hitting the replay button.
It's Monday and I can't stop hitting the replay button.
@@paredescax its friday today and its still the same as last week

Me too England
I'm so obsessed with this song. it's one of those songs where you relax on your bed and just stare into nothing, thinking about everything
Our 23 year old son introduced us to you guys! Wow! He's seen you live at the O2 wish I could have seen you!!

***** Sirius, bro. I hear it quite frequently myself... and yes, it's awesome at night
Yeah bro, cruising to this at night is a chill ride on cosmic vibes. Coasting on the flow...
Ultraviolet391 Me too, man. That was how I discovered the song actually.
Michael you’re nearly 2 I’ve played this song every day to you. Enjoy it when you’re 5/10/15/18 I love you very much. It’s a moment in time my boy x
There is an inherent beauty to psychedelic music, helping find colors, shapes, and angles in the world that might be so readily apparent in an everyday setting. Great song.
This isn't psychedelic.
Whitewoods - beachwalk
@@UnitSe7en slippery slope :P
Yeah not psychedelic. Seems kinda old school New Wave to me.
This is just straight up rock and roll music, it's even pretty simple and uses a very familiar song structure.
It just happens to be nice and sounds good and has a good feel to it. Great song , but nothing even close to 'psychedelic' - people are so easily moved by colors and video
This def my fav song by them…it’s next level
one of the most beautiful songs ever
Listen to Roxy Music and you'll be amazed how this song is just a COPY of the original.
@@sK3LeTvM1 different style
@@sK3LeTvM1 I like Roxy music, but ... just, no.
This is the kind of músic that the world need.
I swear I feel like I've been transported back to early 80's England, and i'm loving every minute. This is divine.
Early 80’s was rubbish in England! The only good thing was the music, New Order, Bunnymen etc. Apart from that, you didn’t miss anything!
@@lucasm3879Well I actually specifically meant the music
@@ladycplum
Yeah a lot of good bands around then. The rest of it was pretty grim. Thatcher, Falklands, three TV channels...
Thought I'd just check in see if people are still listening to this track?
Still am, all thanks for Bojack Horseman. Also the dude above you don't keep drinking and speed driving

Forever and always.

I always listen to WOD on my bus ride up to Boulder every morning. The vibes are real
I was doing a job at a guys house in Walthamstow a couple of years back and talking about music, he told me about these guys Listened to them since. One of the things I love about meeting new people is things we have in common and sharing information on those things.
I'm 50 years old, and just found this gem of a tune.
Me too
i have to say this : That was so beautiful. I thank you from every part of my being for that music and video .
My aunts dementia Is getting progressively worse along with other family members health. This song has been a comforting piece lately. Thank you.
Hope she is better now:)
Same, with the passing of my cousin this song brings me comfort and replays the memories of him and the beautiful life he lived.
@@bargurl123 This song has only gotten more relevant as time has gone on, it is truly crazy.
