Milen Borislavov I like the original Asia and I really like Asia with John Payne the best. I can’t stand the stuff they did when they got Wetton back. This era raised the bar to damn high!
Pour moi ce sera Aqua et Aura, apres je peux prendre certains titres sur chaque album,une mention à un titre qui ne fait partie d'aucun album studio mais d'une compilation,le titre "différent world " qui aurait mérité largement de se trouver sur un de leurs album studio.....mais on refera pas l'histoire.....et l'ère Downes Payne,comme l'ère Asia Downes , wetton ,palmer, howe depuis le décès de Wetton sont révolus,Je ne pense pas qu'une autre mouture sortira désormais les ex membres étant accaparés avec le groupe Yes.....restes les souvenirs et moult titre comme heritage c'est comme ça

From this period I like Sturgis' drumming style the best. Much more groove and more loose. Slade seems a bit stiff and lacks a groovy element. Also Guthrie is overplaying here. I like A Pitrelli and Elliott Randall much more. But they didn't tour with the band. Al got a better job at Savatage.

How did this line up legally use the “Asia” name? It’s a great track but there aren’t any of the original musicians are there?
Geoff Downes is there on the keys, but he’s was the only one in this line up. I guess he owned the rights to the the namn and logo.
Downes played on the keys. Palmer I believe was on an ELP reunion thing if not mistaken. I only liked a couple of John Paynes songs.
They use the name because he paid for the right. He also plays all the songs he wrote or co.wrote.
