It was John Lord how took care of a young Coverdale, (Ritche did not care a shit about him) in maybe the biggest bands of that era with Led Zeppelin. He can aford a little diva stuff, his voice got better over almost 3 decades, not many singers can say the same👌

Got to say, the Days of Thunder score brought me here. I don't think I've ever paid attention to the existence of this song and now I love it. Reminds me of how music was so impactfull in the late eighties for the end of the Soviet block. This makes me think of the end of the Cold War.
No one can deny that David Coverdale is a great rock singer but this song may be a true reflection of his life. From what I read his life was far from peaceful, happy and tranquil.
