Great and (therefor ?) underrated Asia album, once again with a remarkable Roger Dean cover. Fine melodies, nice instrumental contributions and excellent vocals by John Payne. This is not the Heat-of-the-moment-Asia, but for those who don't know the album but are fond of progressive rock: this one should be in your collection for sure !
I don't know why, but I personally like very much the 2 instrumentals of this album: "Arena". These are the first and last tracks of the album. Am I the only one?! :)
The Album cover is a work of art !

Cover by Rodney Mathews. No Roger Dean.

I agree, and I find this album among their best
Very nice. Great Melody right here from Asia as always. A very inspiring song.
Actually, this album cover is by Rodney Mattethews. :)
greetings from Romania.Nice sound. Long Live Asia
Petit chef d'oeuvre avec des réminiscences Santana très agréables.
Asia albums cover might be like our afterworld experience still but a mystery.
R I P John Wetton
Agreed. I’m heartbroken that he’s gone.
Asia - is not only John Wetton or John Payne. First of all it's Geoffrey Downes. Magician of keyboards.
The best!
Santana joined Asia

The noises in the beggining of Into the Arena are intentional?
I don't know what instrument it is but it's some sort of pitched percussion i think.
Reminiscent of lower octane Al DiMeola
