They demolished it and in the 50th they used a remake which was (apparently) in the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff.
@@banana_man_101 The 10th Doctors TARDIS interior scenes were indeed filmed at the experience. There was a video here on RUclips for a while that showed footage of the filming day for the 50th. But it seems to have been taken offline.

They're new in the sense that they have been so unused they still feel like it. I always thought of it as part of their name, like the New Paradigm.

While I do like the Bronze Daleks, but I want to see these come back because they are way more cool looking and the colour red makes it even better very much like the two Dalek films.
So, he never said the most popular word of Daleks race. Bah, to become a great dalek is necessary to said "EXTERMINATE!". He doesn't become completely a dalek.

This was a good few years ago now. The series 1-4 TARDIS series 5-7a TARDIS, and the Torchwood set were all in that studio which was called upper boat. However the series 7b-10 and series 11 TARDIS set (plus SJA attic set) are /were in Roath Loch studios :) upper boat is now empty.

okay, i cant watch this. going to steal one dalek, motorize it, play with it a little, then return it, with the modifications in it.
BBC makes these costumes, but having them shipped over to the US is a grand total of 24,500$. No way am I ever going to be able afford it...unless I try to do everything I can to make do with an easy game industry business.
Those types just didn't look right to me at first, too different to the classic design and initially awfully plastic looking too, no finishing work, no paint, no greebles, bleh. The operators hated them too, too heavy and hard to see out of. I'm glad they gave them a sanding and respray and made them 'Dalek Bouncers' though, they look so much better now, nice and metallic, chunky and solid, so a dodgy start but now I like them.

I was at this giant Rube Goldberg think at MIT and this British guy had a giant war Dalek that was made of plexiglass and wood and steel. No reason other than, in his words, "I like daleks."
I never did like that new Dalek design, its too bulky. The Dalek designed for the film: Dr Who and the Daleks (1966) are the best design.
I didn't expect them to be so big, I knew they had people inside but yeah I didn't expect that XD
If someone invited me to play with Daleks on the set of Doctor Who I would skip playing with the Daleks and just play with the David Tennant tardis Consol

@fishsticksNcustard11 Just go to Doctor Who conventions there's normally a dalek there and if you ask really nicely you may get a chance to be a dalek... But it's not all it's cracked up to be trust me and if it's a hot day then your doomed. xD
It is difficult to move one of those, the new Daleks are probably a lot heavier though. I only ever went inside an Imperial Dalek from 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks. You get used to it after a few minutes :D

Wondering why the prop Dalek's are done so simple that they need a few people to operate everything when fan made ones are made so high quality to the point that 1 person can operate everything.

@DjSweatz2011 Well, the problem is that you would loose the entire adult audience by turning it into a 13-18 show really.. Most adutls would not bother watching it, if it was all about teenage stuff, and honestly, it wouldn't really be 'in character' as the guy is about a 1000 years old.

The 1st doctor was "inside a dalek" pretending to be one. And who'se to say that the 12th Doctor can't be a teenager. The Doctor's physical AND mental attributes change every time he becomes the Doctor. I think a teenager would be an intresting change.

I am afraid that somewhere in the world a military engineer is considering building human controlled or worse Drone like remote Controlled Dalecks for Military security on solid terrains or floors, like the ones in Caprica. .

i got to sit inside a 1960's dalek at a convention recently. I prefer the new series ones as they are slightly roomier inside but id really like to do the voice more as these things are quite cramped.
Well, then it was still there, but a few months ago they moved to another studio, so it was destroyed.

Dalek isn't the most feared creature in the universe. The Doctor is. They locked doctor not dalek in the pandorica. There must be a reason for that.
