  • Click this for an honest Ford F-150 Gen 3 EcoBoost Raptor review featuring a spirited drive through the country and always with lots of actual real facts and content. We were so excited to get the opportunity to review the new Ford F-150 Gen 3 Raptor. Coming in at an $86,900 MSRP, this Ford Raptor just had all the right goodies and looks.
    I will say, I loved the spec on this 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor. We don't know WHAT it is about Atlus Blue Pearl Metallic, but this color is straight fire in person. And I don't even usually like blue cars or trucks! With the 37-inch wheels, the blue Recaro seats, the stance, and restyled front end, this truck just looks awesome in person. Everyone who saw this truck had to take a double look.
    Now let's talk about the Ford F-150 Gen 3 Raptor performance. After all, this is an enthusiast's truck, and performance matters. The 2022 Ford F-150 Raptor has a 3.5 V6 twin-turbo engine (EcoBoost) making Ford says 450 hp and 510 foot-pounds of torque. This propels the Ford Raptor to 60 in 5.2 seconds, and let me tell you the upgraded exhaust on this truck doesn't sound half bad. Listen to that engine spool up rolling through what may just be the best 10-speed transmission on the market today. I will say though, the 718 Porsche Spyder does NOT sound as good as the Ram 1500 TRX or Raptor R, there is no replacement for displacement at the end of the day.
    What really surprised us about the Ford F-150 Raptor Gen 3 at least this specific one, was the build quality and overall dare we say luxury interior. This Ford F-150 Raptor didn't have any rattles, and let's face it, for a truck riding on 37-inch wheels is rare. My $325k Aston Martin has more rattles than this thing. We just don't know how Ford manages to create such a quality product yet one that is so competent off-road. Beyond the build quality, the interior components, tactile feel, and infotainment technology all seem top-notch. Honestly, this truck nails it in more ways than just performance.
    Really the only negative is the Ford F-150 Raptor is just already popular. You won't have the only one at your local car show, and you're likely to see a few driving around every day. But, you're in good company. If you know, you know the Ford F-150 Raptor is an absolute blast to drive. The incredible Live Valve suspension, the sounds of a turbo V6 combined with excellent brakes, all the creature comforts you can dream of, and all the off-road performance imaginable - it's good guys! Really good, way more than I could believe even though it ain't cheap.
    This Ford F-150 Raptor truck did sell for $5,000 over sticker before the review dropped, and we think the new owner who is local will love it.

    See you on the road.

    Very thorough review, nice job. I have had a '22 Raptor for a few months now and agree with everything you said in the review. It is a fantastic truck and daily driver. Ford really got the transmission dialed in on the new truck, so intuitive. Nothing like the clunky shifting on my 2019.

      @@Driven-Productions I was on the fence between a ZR2 and the Raptor, but pretty sure you’ve sold me on the Raptor. Have you done anything on the ZR2 that I should watch before I fully decide? Hope you can keep growing the channel to move to it full time 👍

      @@jaredlee9427 I have not had a chance to review the ZR2. Check out the Rivian R1T review though if you just need a cool truck daily and don’t need to haul a lot.

      @@Driven-Productions thanks man, I’ll check that out. I have 3 young kiddos and had to get rid of a Gladiator due to lack of space, so I’m concerned about its size. But I’m always open to watching cool videos about cars and trucks 👍
      Think there’s probably a few out there going back and forth on a ZR2 vs the Ecoboost Raptor…plenty of similarities in options offered, but it’s a 6.2L V8 vs the 6cyl Ecoboost and the ZR2 is almost $10K cheaper.

    Yes I have a question I test drove a 2022 Ford raptor yesterday and the price right now is 72,000 it only has 4,000 miles on it would you as a car guru recommend buying a vehicle of that magnitude with 4000 miles you know of any issues or anything on that, plus I have a trade-in and I'll be putting down a few thousand dollars but would you buy that even knowing it's been used there's not a speck of damage or anything on it thank you if you could get back with me.

    Excuse me but I'm a bit confused. I am flying out to pick up my Code Orange 01AC group Raptor in a couple days. Mine is running 35's which unless you get the 37 performance package is what comes standard. Is this the 37? Correct me if I'm wrong.

      This one is the 37" package: distinct beadlock capable wheels and some suspension modifications. You can fit 37" KO2s on a 35 without any rubbing or day to day issues. Just wouldn't jump it.

    Does anyone know if there are any positives of not having a bed liner? For $93,000, you’d think the truck would come with a bed liner.

    • @Alex-mw9un
      @Alex-mw9un 25 дней назад

      If you want to avoid scratching up the metal, a bed liner or a weather tech cover is very nice. Also the grip of a weather tech or spray in prevents contents from sliding around, which is a plus for me.

    Truck absolutely in nice, but those clown bar graph gauges has got to go! Ford needs to look at how Porsche designs their gauges and just copy it!!! Even Honda does a better job in designing analog gauges!!!
