What a day that was! "We can re-name that thing... doing a CRANKY!!!" Shame you didn't get me actually crashing - it was very sudden!! A great day out mate, awesome memories!!
Nah, the back pack will always be "Doing a Cranky!" Yeah, I wish I'd been closer to capture that drop of yours. I felt like mine was sudden too. Going OK, then next minute you're on the ground! HaHa! It was a fun day, always a great ride through there!
At least that was a low speed fall. Just wide and in the rubble by the looks of it. Got to be careful. We're all getting older. So easy to hurt yourself. I've injured myself before (not falling off the bike) and been so bad I couldn't even stand up straight or on both legs. I had to slowly limp around holding onto the walls. Turning in bed was extreme. I was so sore that I just left the computer / 55 inch monitor and all on the entire night (hurt too much to walk that far) All good now but it can happen.
Yeah, I'm in some level of pain at all times every day these days. The joys of being on the wrong side of 50! HaHa! In this case, I'd spent a couple of days relaxing at home over Xmas day and Boxing day and then went to get up off the couch and felt a sharp pain all of a sudden and that was it, I was in pain for the next month!
@@MrAusadventure Thankfully I've never been down that long. 10 - 14 days is my record. (well not counting the 10 weeks I couldn't use my arm due to moderate gravel rash but that was in a car when I rolled it due to a taxi t-boning me coming out of a side street then doing a runner). I'm just glad there is online shopping / grocery delivery these days for those times when you just can't walk. And yep, wrong side of 50.
Back problems suck, especially as a biker. Weidly, when I broke my back and spoke to a doctor, he said riding a motorcycle was great physiotherapy for my injuries as it strengthens the core and the bikes movement makes the spine move a lot. What happened on that off? Was it just road tyres on dirt surface? Ahh, yeah it did look like the surface got quite a bit looser out wide 😞 I'm so glad for self cancelling indicators 😀 So stay away from green moss, as important to remember as the yellow snow! 😀
Oh wow! What part did you break? I compress fractured 2 vertebrae in a jet ski incident back in 1996 and that was extremely painful. I was back jet skiing gently a few days later on pain killers though! HaHa! I had the Mitas E07's on the bike so they could handle the rough stuff fine. The downhill was steeper than it looks on camera, but still not bad, I was just braking a little harder than I should have maybe and then going left to avoid any possible oncoming cars just put me into the loose stuff. I rode through there on the DRZ on Saturday and it had way less gravel on that corner this time. Yeah, that green moss is deadly!
@@MrAusadventure Was my L2 vertibtae, and pelvis... on my first trackday, got me a little break from work that did lol... 10 months sick on shore... I was back out on my second trackday before I was back at work lol... well if the Dr said motorcycles were good physiotherapy... who was I to disagree! 😀
Every time my 1st gen wee-Strom decided it want to fall over without my permission mind you, it usually costed me either side front indicator assembly......those bloody things stick out like elephant ears. my spare parts guy when seeing me walk into the bike shop usually asks .........so which side do you want this time? 😂🤪😭
HaHa! Yeah I've been through a few of them myself! They do stick out! I bought an aftermarket one the first time, then 2nd time a mate told me he had a full set of stock indicators as he'd replaced all his with aftermarket ones. So I've used them for replacements ever since. Luckily this was my last broken one, I've kept it upright for 3 and a half years now! 🤣

Loved the video mate!!! Need you posting more often! 🙂
Thanks mate. Yeah I'd love to post more often as I have so much footage I'm working though, but I don't have enough free time! HaHa!
Quality content vs Quantity
@@wobblysauce the quality is covered! We just need a little bit more quantity now :-)
@@in2ADV You got me there... we need more crash compilations.
That Lyons road is so good
It is one of my favourite local roads.
