- A slimmed-down Oprah Winfrey unveils her painting at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. as mystery around her weight loss continues. Winfrey revealed that she’s on a weight loss drug that she would not identify. Winfrey says she went on the medication after hosting a show about weight loss. Her revelation comes as poison control announces a startling 1,500 percent spike in calls related to injected weight loss drugs.
She did an interview few days ago go saying that she DIDNT used ANY medication…🧐😳 Now she has NO CREDIBILITY.
Oprah has been on a weight loss/gain yo-yo since forever. She should be the last compass anyone uses for weight control.

I think she initially did, but her weight yo-yos.. so she tries all kinds of things. This is typical with people who struggle to lose weight.
@@Ms.Kelani I agree. She initially did but probably couldn’t resist trying it. The problem is the Weight Watchers situation because she was a spokesperson and invested in the company. The weight came off too fast. It looks to me like she gained a little back because she was looking frail during the Maui fires when she was there. She looks good though.

@@paulabeecham1276 The problem is that Weight Watchers promotes a low fat diet. Therefore, the only alternative energy source is carbohydrates, which raises insulin levels. Insulin is your fat storing hormone. To lose fat, you have to EAT fat.

I took Ozempic and had tons of issues. I could barely eat or go to the bathroom. I ended up being diagnosed with Gastro Perisus (the paralysis of your stomach and intestinal muscles.) I couldn’t poop and it was the most painful thing I’ve been through. Please be careful with these! They help a lot with weight loss but can do crazy other stuff to your body

It’s insane that they use diabetes medication for weight loss, I heard that a person went over 4 months without it that actually needed it because people who just wanted to lose weight took it so it kept on going out of stock. Kinda Sad to be honest 😔

I take care of elderly people and it's awful that people take this to lose weight. I have patients that can't get their medication because the demand is so high.

I'm hoping that they can mass produce it with many companies, and that it will drive the price down and up the production. This could be a big help for people trying to lose weight. Wegovy is supposed to be the only one for weight loss, but Ozempic is prescribed as well. Getting weight down can help greatly with health - even if a person doesn't have diabetes.
I honestly think there’s something she’s still NOT telling, so she lost the weight but what happened to the sagging skin? She must have gone under the knife as well. That too will come out sooner than later

@@coldmorgueThey can, it's just really difficult if you have an eating disorder to overcome. I had to lose 50 pounds without 'proper' exercise because I'm disabled. I doubt physical therapy does much for weight loss though lol. Gain and lose, but you have to prove to yourself you can do it, and when you're already there your will to stay on track is stronger because the weight is lost already and you don't want to ruin your work or do it all over again.

I'm from Denmark where Ozempic is developed. My father is on the drug due to his diabetes. The drug is specifically designed as medicine for people with type 2 diabetes, and should not be used as simply an easy way to loose weight. You should be approved by your doctor, who deems the drug necessary for your health. To get the drug over here, you'll need a prescription from a doctor. Is it not a prescription drug in the US?

Yup. For a good 6 months last year, my poor diabetic granny wasn’t able to get any. Her copay was very little because she’s diabetic and all the supplies across the US were out because millions of fat people demanded it to lose weight and Drs complied. Diabetics should have had first choice to fill their stock before fat people.

I found the easiest way to lose weight is to stop eating; aka water fasting One day a week , and intermittent fasting + low carbs /high fat the rest of the days, I focus on high quality whole food, on weekends I indulge
For me, I ate between 12pm-3pm, and I usually ate Salads with a piece of fish. I didn't eat sweets, or drink coffee. My diet was restricted, but I went down two pants sizes in 3 weeks.

I’d love to try fasting but that seems so hard to go without any food and in my case any coffee because I drink coffee with creamer every day pretty much. I’d really like to try that though

@@littlebanshee I drink one cup of black coffee every day even when fasting. Sometimes things SEEM hard when you hear about them, but test it for yourself gradually. Try to stop consuming any calories by 7 PM and resume consuming calories by 10 am - then the next day until 11 am . Check out Dr. Eric Berg he is my to go to to learn about health.

@@danby7461 If I want to flavour my sparkling mineral water, I add a dash of apple cider vinegar. Zero carbs, zero sugar and promotes gut health.
They mean a predisposition to high appetite, insulin resistance etc. a lot of normal weight people don't think or obsess about food much and couldn't eat that amount without throwing up, let alone enjoy it.

Yep, I quit eating carbs and sugar because of type2 diabetes andI've lost 15 pounds since October 24th and now my blood work is almost below the " pre diabetes"range. I will not add another med to myself.

All of those drugs have the same components, doesn't really matter what it's called. Unfortunately, there will be lots of people who will misuse this drug and suffer serious consequences. The drug can cause inflammation of your intestines and cause you to become constipated. As a result, you can develop blockage which can cause waste poisoning which will lead to immediate surgery and potential loss of your intestines. But, you'll be skinny :)
