CzechoSlovak arms designers were world renowned during and after World War 1. A goodly part of the heavy artillery siege train used by the Wehrmacht against fortifications and stoutly defended cities in WW2 was composed of C/S survivors left over from the Great War. Further, without the LT vz 35 and vz 38 equipping Panzer Divisions 6 and 7 (Rommel's famed "Ghost Division") France might not have fallen . . . unless from within. Later, the Wehrmacht owed much to the Jagdpanzer 38 ("Hetzer"), also derived from the vz 38's dependable, easy to produce, chassis, which served in the Antitank battalions (JagdPanzer Abteilungen) of Deutscher infantry divisions. Hungaria, especially, owed much to C/S ingenuity, as their Turan medium tanks were adaptations of the C/S T-21, rearmed with locally produced 40mm, and 75mm, guns.
