Nice video. I've had mine about 2 years . Like you have an older table saw without riving knife. This makes it much safer when ripping. I'm glad to have them.
One suggestion would be to not use the pusher on the fence side of the piece but closer to the blade, so it doesn't turn counter-clockwise to close the gap behind. Good thing you have a splitter!
That's pretty neat. I have a DeWalt 745 and even with the riving knife fitted I do get some burn marks. For me that's acceptable but your work is quite a bit more precise than mine!👍😁
The splitter is not that high so might not be as effective in keeping thicker timber open at back of blade. If your table has a riving knife, that would suffice and no splitter required. My saw is 10 inch and barely reaches through 4 inch thick lumber. Hope that answers your question.

thank you! i am about in install one now.
To clamp the plywood down, i intend to use a clamp on the fence.
Thanks man. Their directions were not easy to follow...I'm just bad at reading directions. It was nice to read and follow along with your video. 🤜
Glad I could help!

Nice video, I'm installing some of these today!
What is the second piece of plywood for ? Great Video ! Thank You !
If I remember correctly, I cut two just in case.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO.......
can this work on an old craftsman with a rectangle metal throat plate?
As long as the company makes an insert throat plate that would match your metal one.
Excellent video, thanks!
Thank you!!!!
You're really tempting fate with how close you're getting your fingers on those cuts without the splitter installed..
Not sure where you see the issue, but after 30 years I have never had any sort of incident.
Do these affect how much blade you can have exposed,?
With blade lowered, the splitters are further from the cut, but when raised the splitter is pretty close and catches the wood sooner.
@@OrcaboatsCa sorry, to be more specific, with these, would I be able to cut a 4X4 in a single pass?

How is it you still have 10 fingers
Safety first. And most of the lumber I cut are large pieces so fingers rarely come near the blade.
