Hey Buddy. 270 Winchester is one of my favorites. I think that Interlock will give you a blood trail. Hope to see you soon. I'll be trying to get some of that powder, too. I'll buy a hat! Dang right!

So, now I'm seriously considering a 270 Ackley Improved. Would neck down a 280AI case for a dummy round to get a reamer made. Many would argue, why not just go with a 270 Weatherby magnum? Several reasons - cost of brass and availability. 270 Win brass is cheap and everywhere.
I got 2 new Tikkas just this past week in 308. Roughtech Ember superlite stainless and a Hunter with stainless superlite both fluted barrels.
You look like you're doing really well with that handloading and the Tikka 270. My first and still my favorite.

That would be a really cool round in my opinion and yea you’re spot on about the component availability/cost

@@dhooter Starline 270 brass is $28 at cabela's for a 50 count and I usually get 52/bag. That's cheap compared to buying Weatherby brass but a substantial margin

Anything approaching 3100 and grouping like that upper left hand group is a very workable flat shooting hunting load.

I can't get them volisty with my tikka 270 and that bullet and powder charge but I was using h4831sc. I am much slower

Yep my tikka also. With h4831 or h4350 I’m mid 3000’s and maxed out but shoots great.
