Bought my first corvette a year ago. Its a 16 sting ray. Murdered out the car straight piped it, intercooler, big 305’s in the back, nice tune. Sounds like a monster. Plan on getting the c8. I just worked my ass off and didn’t have any children. Just enjoying life.

My father supported a nine person family on a janitor salary... he was the owner of his own janitorial business but to everybody else he was just a janitor.
This was an important lesson for me growing up understanding that supporting yourself and your family didn’t have to come from some office. If my dad had a regular 9-to-5 job it would’ve been extremely difficult for him to pay for our lives... unless he was in a white-collar top-tier job. I am a lifelong Corvette fanatic I have a C7 I will have a C8 there is nothing that makes me happier to see a ‘’janitor’’ in a Corvette. Keep up the work brother.
Clarence you ARE living the American Dream , Set a goal(s ) work Hard , = ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS , then Bam , you have your C8 ( or house or whatever your goals may be ) , Don’t matter where you work or what your job is , EVERY Job is an Honorable job ! , It’s awesome that own your own business. Another video from Clarence that is a pleasure to watch. For me, it wasn't the amount you paid or your monthly payment. It is the pure honesty you convey about yourself in your videos. It is refreshing and much appreciated.
BTW, I'm the guy that said I will purchase my C8 from MacCulkin in New Hampshire because of NO SALES TAX. Where I live if I bought it from my area dealer I would pay 8.25% sales tax. The way I will spec my C8 that will equate to nearly 7 thousand dollars in taxes compared to zero dollars if I buy with MacCulkin in New Hampshire.

You are living the American dream, getting out of life what you put into it! As you said, "Cleaning toilets" is honest work, and having your own cleaning business, aka being an entrepreneur is another part of the American Dream! Kudos to you! And now you are living a better life! I agree that college is not the end all. Although I eventually went to college to provide me with knowledge to further my career, it is nothing more than just another tool you can use. I never pursued a degree, yet during my career, I had PhD's, MBA's, and BS degreed so-called professionals reporting to me.
I also enjoyed listening to your thought process for buying your Vette...another kudos, most people never really go through a cost evaluation. Enjoy your new Corvette! I sold my C5R-427 recently, so I am looking forward to the C8 Z06. I am number 242 in the order queue at my dealer.

Not rich but I’m comfortable. Reserved C8 Z06 some months back. My dealership put in my (C8 stingray) allocation a day late. I decided to wait for Z06. Which gives me time to put away more money. At the end of the day it’s about budgeting and making some sacrifices to get what you want. Respect my brother!! #HardWorkingMan

Insurance is only $65 a month :))
You're double hitting him on depreciation. Zero depreciation would mean the monthly payment would be fully refunded on sale. 100% depreciation would require you hitting him for the full monthly payment as an actual cost.
So factoring in the actual depreciation means less monthly cost and not adding anything to it for depreciation.

Thanks for this video. Clarence i also went through alot of specs when building mine. i ended up with a simple Accelerate yellow / Z51 with M. ride control / LT2 with GT2 Seats and carbon fiber interior. im still on 3000 status, but my sales guy tells my i shouldnt of gone with yellow LOL
