    Brilliant! I love how happy you are after getting one of these.... I have booked one and it is taking longer than expected. I have booked on Feb 25th, 2024 and still haven’t received it. Booked the same colour, white ! 😇

    Just to let you know you have influenced me.😂 I bought the led reflector brake light last year and I really like it . I’ve also gone back and watched all of your mitas vids and last night after a bottle of wine I ordered a set off of eBay. I only paid £181 for a front and rear which seems like a great price after shopping around. They are the mitas enduro trail + I was considering putting pure road tyres on up until I watched your reviews. I will update you when I’ve fitted them .

      That’s always the best time to shop Dean…cost me a fortune over the years 😂 Good price for the tyres, are you fitting yourself, I get someone to fit as they have solid side walls, which is very good but not the easiest to fit..I’ve no strength or patience!
      Those LED reflectors are brilliant, I’ve got an extra one that I’ll fit to the NX, when I can motivate myself…i was looking for cheaper shorty brake/clutch leavers the other day and then paid £200 for some….hate spending money, it hurts 😂
      Let me know how you get on with the tyres, take time to get used to them as they will feel different to start with but once scrubbed in you’ll love them….funny thing about those reviews every 1k miles was I thought they might be a bit boring but how many times do you get to see the gradual wear and use of a tyre if looking to buy so in the end it was just an extended review and fun doing!

    I went through Honda insurance, which here in the UK is Bikesure. No problem and they did me a cracking deal.

      Good to hear, coincidentally I went with Bikesure direct this time but had to insure as CB500X as they couldn’t find the NX 😂 👍🏻

    Well spotted and agree they should have kept the original name but thats just how marketing works. Still love my 2020 same Colour as your old one. Be interesting if this NX feels and different. Great vids. I saw you comments on cb500x group

      Be good to see once the bike is run in, hopefully not taking too long! Already I can say there is a big familiarity to the 500X and yet also a difference..it feels smoother, not that the 500X was bad, but definitely feel the engine tweaks have improved it, the fairing offers better wind protection, although still buffeting on helmet, and the TFT screen is also very good! Let’s see over a few miles how it performs but so far so good 😊
      Shame about the 500X site, but hey ho life goes on 👍🏻

    Great information share. Nice to hear they improved upon an already amazing engine. Out of curiosity is the throttle response in 1st gear a bit more smooth than previous models?

    Very interesting Andrew. Personally I thought it was a bit daft renaming the bike. It’s clearly a CB500X for all the obvious reasons. The fact it’s printed on the logbook and bike itself is hilarious 🤣

      I think it’s just to differentiate it from 500X but to be honest the changes are a good evolvement

      I Agee. The test for me will be if the redesigned front end stops the need for screen extenders. I’ve had a Puig on mine since the first week of ownership.

      Completely agree style of substance these days with honda... I have owned many over the years but recently I think they are lagging behind the competition as a result.

      @@warrenr4 it’s certainly got better wind protection for body with a slightly wider bodywork but I feel the helmet buffeting is the same

    The all New NX looks lovely and an improvement over the outgoing CB,but for me personally apart from the new bodywork,TFT screen plus a small rework on engine mapping & suspension tweaks the smart money is on a New Old Stock CB500x. I got a fantastic deal & saved myself £900 that I can spend on some very useful accessories.

      Must admit I’m rather enjoying the updates, particularly the tft as I can now read it 😂 That’s a brilliant deal on the last of the 500Xs and amazing bikes whichever model 👍🏻

    In your next review video of NX500, could you please explain more on your experience with vibrations on NX. I mean, in my NX, the buzz starts from 5500rpms in around 120kmph speeds. Above 5500 or 6000rpms and around 130kmph+ speeds it vibrates too much. Please share your experience with your bike. Have you tried speeds above 140kmph? I doubt it can go more than 160kmph... Feel kind of a lazy bike. 😊

      I’m still running in so can’t say for sure at higher speeds and revs.. up to 60mph it feels good, no real vibrations to note! I’ll do more once run in and give feedback how mines doing 👍🏻

      i have anx500 too and yes, is quite vibrating... my previous cb300r had litteraly 0 vibrations!
      vibrations at high rpm is my biggest and mostly only disappointment of nx500 compared to tracer 7 i had a test ride past year

      @@XplorerDinesh btw seems like the silenced front sprocket with+1 tooth reduce vibrations, both with longer final ratio and rubbere ring as well, i bought one but not yet installed, i wait few 100s km more to finish my break in

    Honda NX500 adventure bike is simply a CB500X with a different name, set of new clothes, flashy TFT dash with connectivity inbuilt, lighter wheels, tweaked suspension and traction control (HSTC) fitted as standard

    I had an Toyota MR2 that always came up as a Corolla at the insurance quotes. I regret selling it all the time. 😢

    It should have really been called a XL 500, the NX was a single cylinder trail bike (the 650 dominator) and CB has been used largely for road focused sports bike. Maybe Honda have something up their sleave?

    It’s a very good bike I couldn’t careless what its call just ride enjoy and repeat 😮 O and insure it as a CB 500X 2024 according to Honda Hull 😊

    Can you remember how many miles you managed to get out of them standard tyres I’m on 4500 miles and mine have flattened off and are down to 1 mil in the centre already.

      I got about 6k on the previous 500x, which are same tyre, but should have swopped out between 4 & 5k as they were feeling rough after 4K. Are you running right tyre pressure, almost sounds like they’re running a bit under pressure to flatten off in middle.
      I will be changing these on the NX at about 4K for Mitas E07+ Enduro Trails… had two sets on the 500X and they’re awesome!
      Here’s a previous final video on 11k mileage, for which I’d done a review every 1k miles for their lifespan..

      What pressure were you running your mitas at . I’m 17 stone so tend to run higher pressure but I don’t actually know if I’m doing the right thing .

      @@deanwelsh5702 I found running Mitas at F/R 2.0/2.5 bar (2.9 rear if loaded) was perfect for me and the other thing to note is the side walls on these tyres are quite stiff so good when lowering for off road but also good if you’re heavy or carrying heavier load! Ps. I’m about 13 stone..

    Very interesting. I’d been with Carole Nash for 20 claim free years but they flatly refused to offer me cover for the NX500 because it’s a new model and they didn’t recognise it. I had to switch to BikeSure instead who gladly accepted my premium. I didn’t know about the model designations on the bike and in the log book at the time as I was trying to get cover prior to getting the bike but CN needlessly let a previously loyal customer simply walk away - bizarre!!!

      Very bizarre, although some are recognising some are refusing or if covering maybe loading…what’s most interesting is that the bikes are registered as a CB550X!! Wonder if that will change over time? Anyhow, hope you’re enjoying your NX, I certainly am..even out today getting battered by the wind 😂

    If Honda would have put a new 500cc engine with 270 crank design on this bike then it would be worthy of the NX brand. Just improving the electronics, display, and some body redesign doesn't justify the name change. The NX brand implies something new, exciting, and needs to dominate.

      Despite the name change I think it’s a good evolvement of the 500X like previous upgrades it gets better each time.. have to agree a 270 crank would be nice to see 👍🏻

    Rebranding is nothing new to push it to a newer market. People like fancy names and maybe the NX logo conjures up a more off-road image ie Dominator.
    Although it's a bit better than back in the 70's when was working in a Honda dealership and the flagging sales of the boring CJ250T underwent a transformation via adding a centre stand and some tank stripes which we had to stick on in the shop! Lol.
    Yeah that'll get them selling 😂
    So now you've been duped 😄 I hope you enjoy the NX.
    I will hang on to the 890 for a while yet and maybe try one of those CF Moto 450mt's
    When they become available.
    Am off today and going to camp at Bank Top Campsite Newton upon Rawcliffe.

      Nice one Bob, that took you back a few decades…you’ll remember the 250 Super dream, I had a silver one with matching handlebar fairing and though how cool was I 😂
      I’m loving the bike, happy to be duped for a nice evolvement of an already good bike…happy days 😃
      Wish I was camping but wife broke her ankle so doing the dutiful husband thing at moment, hopefully I’ll get away in couple of weeks…enjoy North Yorkshire 👍🏻

      250/400 Dream was a revelation for Honda. I built those and Super dreams, CX500's out of the crates.
      Sabre fairing was fitted to a lot of super dreams, looked a good fit.
      In those days our showroom used to stock Tower racks and crashbars and Craven/Kangol/Rickman boxes.
      We had about 70/80 chrome racks hanging on the wall at any one time.
      Stadium or Feridax screens. And every new jap bike had their tyres changed from new as the original Bridgestone tyres were terrible.
      But it was fun with all the add on extras back then as there were more tuning parts easily available.
      Funny ol' days.

    Honda should've put tubeless spoked wheels on it too. Suspension is supposed to be better, but is it really. A half hearted tart up in my books. They certainly havnt done so much to it that I'd sell my cb500x and go spend extra money for one of these. A real shame because they could really do something with the cb500x.

      Whilst I agree tubeless spoked wheels and better, RR quality, suspension would have been excellent, the trouble is that to up spec with wired wheels or anything much more than they’ve done would put price up closer to the Transalp and don’t think it would sell as well, other than to us die hard 500x riders 😊 Personally I think they’ve done a great job of evolving the bike over several years and the latest version is an improvement on what already is a great bike 👍🏻

      @@thecampingbiker791 I agree it'd raise the price, but a lot of us want a "real" mini Africa Twin. The cb500 engine is good enough for most. The whole package just needs to be good at everything with real thought going into it. The Transalp isn't anywhere near an Africa Twin and neither is the cb500x or nx or whatever fancy name you want to give it. Honda will miss out on this growing 400/500 sector. Himalayan, Cfmoto 450mt are just two big sellers Honda could compete with. Tuareg is a little bigger, a little pricier and punchier, but Honda could easily compete against this too.
      I can see other big brands bringing out "serious" bikes in the 400/500 sector. It's the future. Older monied bikers are dying off. Who's going to afford the manufacturers flagship models in the future. Very few can realistically afford them now! The future market is small/medium size bikes.

    A little known fact about this bike is that by moving the letter "X" in FRONT of the #500 - instead of AFTER the #500 - the engineers were able to gain 6.9 BHP.

    It doesn’t matter how many times it says it on the bike or documentation. The only thing that matters is the stupid the insurance company doesn’t provide a box for the agent to tic on their computer screen. It could take years before that box appears on her screen. 🤔🤔🤬🤬😂😂😂
