Agreed; it's the only 'country roast' by Oliver that I try to quote whenever I can; which isn't all that often. Living on the other side of the planet. And, well, New Zealand rarely coming up in conversations. Because, well, it's Australia's Australia.
nothing was as unkind as he was to Australia.. he said it was 93% uninhabitable because of deserts, and 7% uninhabitable because of Australians!

We love the mickey taking and the fact that our name is becoming recognised , but we are concerned that too many outsider's will fall in love with our beautiful country and eventually want to move here and swamp us. In 1965 there were 4,000,000 here, now we have just reached 5,000,000. Luckily most people live in Auckland, so there is still quite a bit of room in the country for the rest of us, but if there's a sudden influx, WELL, the sheep will just have to go to make room for them.
