- Glenn's FairladyZ features our Z Car Garage Big-Brakes developed with Stoptech. We also dyno tuned the 3L Rebello engine with triple-MIkuni induction many years ago and Glenn is still Enjoying The Ride.
In this video:
We recently caught up with Glenn to stretch the Fairlady's legs a bit, volume up and enjoy!

I hate to use the word jealous but, I am. I was the 2nd owner of a '73 that I bought in 1993. It was the same blue from the factory with white interior and black carpet/dash. The original owner drove form L.A. to Santa Barbara just to get this color combo. After a couple of years of driving it I knew it was the best car I ever owned so I spent the next two years restoring it from top to bottom with original parts except for the drivetrain and suspension. It was like a slot car when I was done except it needed a head gasket. So I bought a new cam and valve train setup and was going to have Rebello do the porting on my head. I wanted to keep close to stock so I still had S.U.'s but, they had modern rebuild with rubber bushing on the butterfly valve shaft to keep it from sucking in air and running lean. At that point I had over 180 HP but, Rebello told me with mild porting and my carb setup I would put out 220-230 HP. My car weighed 2260 full of fuel so I knew it would be a rocket however, bad luck came and I had a garage fire that took my Z car along with my supercharged 2002 Frontier truck. It was such and up and down day knowing my Z was lost forever but, my family was safe. I know for a fact that I would have never ever sold that car unless I was on my dying bed.
This is, in my eyes, a perfect Z.
Really nice car Glen, thanks for sharing!
I saw this car about 6 years ago at canepa cars and coffee in Scott’s valley. Had to go back in my pictures library to confirm the license plate. She is a sweet ride!
Akio Asakura would be proud
Really incredible the engine does have a unique tone that is different than the US Z.

Had the same car. Except the steering was on the correct side. Loved that car miss it 😢
Was the fairlady ever made in LHD? .... The fairlady has a very unique engine and I believe was only JDM.
@@JM-nt5fm you are correct. Mine wasn't the FL. I missed that. Thank u
Fairlady is what they were called in Japan. They didn’t think Americans would like the name so it was called 240Z here.

US: Datsun
Cool !!🙂👍
I had a 1975 280Z for about 12 years love that car till the ex-wife's stoled it
Devil z???
Yeah
sounds tuff but it's not just a old lady sports car fam!!!
They are extremely tough, the drivetrain is very well built. With the right mods they are very quick as well. I own a restomod 240z and it is very quick.
@Not Doug...you sound tough, but you're not.
