  • The molinillo is an important ancestral tool used to bring life to ceremonial cacao elixirs. "The spirit of cacao" is how ancient Mexican people call the foam and emulsification of cacao paste in water. They developed ways to connect with this spirit, one of them is through the molinillo stirrer - a magical tool that makes the spirit of cacao awaken and arise with your energetic intention extended from your hands into the solution of cacao. Through resonating at the right frequency and intention and stirring rhythmically in tune with the cacao you can create a creamy and energetic elixir full of powerful heart opening properties. Every ceremony leader should connect with their cacao through molinillo and you too can connect with your own cacao at home. Take a moment to be present and feel the energy of cacao with the ancient tool.

I found a molinillo years and years ago in a charity shop, but I had no idea what it was. I purchased it because I just thought it was really beautiful and appreciated the craftsmanship that definitely went into making it. Every once in a while, when my day was done, or I had a little free time I would try to find out what I had actually purchased. I don't even remember how, or what I even typed into the search engine, but I had FINALLY found out what I had purchased, and the first thing I did was buy a Vegan Chocolate Mexicano Sampler from Taza Chocolate which is made locally in my state of Massachusetts and I chose them because they pay cacao farmers more than the Fair Trade price. I've been on RUclips looking up videos on how to properly use my molinillo and I found a few but I just didn't feel sure about them, then I found this video. I like that it tells me more about the molinillo than just how to use it. Thank you!

It can be also used as a mace weapon, mostly to whack friend for being dumb for silly reason but nothing lethal. Legend says there used to be a actually size of mace and a two-handed maul without the ring for balance.

No it is just for emulsification of the fat of the cacao to blend it with the water.
