As a new photographer and new to editing this is such a helpful channel. I have to thank you for getting me on the right path. One question please, could you please name all the tabs you use in your custom 💜 tab......Thank you
The one thing I like about curves in Photoshop is the pointer where I can find the exact tone I want to alter and limit curves adjustments to jus that tone with the lock points (whatever they're called). However, I've cancelled all Adobe due to unacceptable business practices. That also save me over $470 a year in fees.
I've watched it just in time, as I'm trying to work out the use of layers and all adjustement tools in C1 and I was yet to figure out, hiw the adjustement brush works :D Thanks fir this video :) For all the darkening/brightening adjustments I use exposure while you go for curves and now I'm wondering if your way of doing it isn't actually more reasonable, as it probably prevents blacks/whites from clipping... Is that the reason you use curves? And further to using curves, if I may ask you - do you always operate on the RGB or do you happen to use the Luma sometimes (as it is said that luminocity is safer for colors)? P.S. I'm getting a feeling that the popularity of the RGB lights has created a massive trend of coloring photographed subjects with them (or with color gels) and that such trend seems to be so big and overhyped that it's hard to find a well thought, creative and properly lit photos done in that style(?) :/ Nothing personal, though, it's just a general opinion ;)
Hey Daniel thanks for the thoughtful comment. To answer your questions yes that is the reason I use curves. I feel it does a better job of controlling the exposure with the points I create. I do use Luma from time to time. If you watch my previous Capture One video on RUclips I review my process. Let me know if you have any further questions. :)

Eli where can I get those style brushes? Are you selling them?
Great video. I noticed that you adjust exposure using the curve tool. Is there an advantage to using this tool instead of the exposure slider?
Not at all but I like using that adjustment.

What's the difference between new adjustment layer and new "filled" adjustment layer?
New is blank and filled means it will be a global adjustment on the image.
@@EliInfante oh! Thanks and in what cases do we need to make use of new adjustment layer?
great editing ✨✨
Thank you Nsk!!
