Looking at your photos moves me in the same way my favorite artist Tom Thomson's work moves me. You have a wonderful way of capturing beauty in the world.
Another gorgeous spot, and your shots capture it perfectly in some classic Lake District weather! I used to come here to watch the golden eagles 20+ years ago - it’s a shame they disappeared from the area.
Hi henry, total agree on doing photography in the day , give you far more opportunities to take more pictures, rather than replying on one moment in time. By the way my two favourite shots were the waterfall and the last shot you took, both awesome shots. "Top Draw. Look forward to your next adventure.
Your enthusiasm is so contagious! Your videos have been such an inspiration to me; clouds and what happens with the light. When it is breezy the scene changes so dramatically in a short period of time. Getting away from the wide angle and and using the pano shots in portrait was new to me too. Thanks again!
I'm a morning person Henry so most of the year I've no problem getting up early as it's the most peaceful time of the day to take photos but I agree if you get moody conditions you can shoot all day and some of my best photos in the Lakes last autumn were shot mid afternoon with rain showers and crepuscular rays moving across Derwentwater. I do hate the wind though as it makes my nose run and eyes water!!
Every time I watch one of your videos it brings a smile to my face and I end up thinking exactly the same thing.."What a thoroughly nice bloke!" And that's quite apart from the photography!
Another enjoyable video.. Many thanks for saving my sanity Henry, After retirement I was at a loss for what to do with my time, driving my wife mad, then entirely due to watching your videos I bought a camera & discovered landscape photography and am now rarely home! My wife loves the peace & quiet!. My photos are technically poor but I love them and they are slowly improving but as you say, the photography is only 50% of the experience.
Just when i think your videos cant get any better, you bring out another one that tops it, top class again as usual. Thanks again for another stunning day out with awesome shots. ps, Three Sisters print arrived safely and now getting it framed it looks great and cant wait to get it up on wall.
Yet another great video. The first picture I really loved , the water on the little Beck you used as foreground interest could have been painted in, so much detail WOW, The last picture using Small water then another tarn and finally Hawes water as a winding leading line just pure genius. You certainly have a gift.
Dare I say it, you are becoming my favourite landscape photography channel even above the mighty Mr Thomas Heaton! Love the enthusiasm and the effort you put in. The images match any of the best and just keep getting better! Great stuff, keep it up mate.
May I say a wee thank you...from someone who cannot walk the hills due to health. Also if you don't already, may I suggest Lost In Europe..also a talented gentleman. Best wishes from Scotland.
Henry, You often say "I hope you like this shot" As far as I`m concerned you have yet to disappoint me. Yet another enjoyable Wainwright, thanks mate. :-)
I totally agree about the "less than ideal times of day". They can lead to great photographs if the conditions are right. In fact 1 of my top 5 images was taken about 4 hours after sunrise and another of my top 5's was taken about 5 hours before sunset. Now waterfalls in mid-summer, mid-day, with no cloud cover...yeah, not so much, LOL. Another great video Henry, keep up the great work.
The scenery is beautiful and the moving light across the fells just makes for stunning images. Thanks for sharing again Henry. Congratulations on number 10. Stay safe 😷🇦🇺 10/214
One of your best, something about this video Henry, reminded me of your days on the mountains in New Zealand. Completely agree, it’s not sunrises and sunsets. I want to revisit here but from Kentmere valley.
Looks like a fantastic hike that mate , i totally agree with you about a loop track, you really can shoot all day and with that light it was fantastic, loved the image at 10:35, stunning just as nice as a sunset . great episode mate, keep safe !
The Kentmere horseshoe is an excellent walk - one of my favourites. When I did it in 1979 there was a fantastic sculpture on the summit made from old iron fence posts welded together. I think I saw some remnants of it in your summit picture. The reservoir shot at 10:30 is indeed superb. Thanks.
Stunning images again and really enjoying your Wainwright series. Have spent alot of time around the Kentmere area and did the Kentmere Horseshoe a couple of years ago so these images brought everything flooding back! Thanks very much Henry.
Quality post and images. Changeable conditions a challenge, but terrific opportunity to depict fleeting glorious light. Olympus stills a pleasant surprise. Nikon must be jealous😁.
You are such an inspiration Henry. Any time I watch one of your videos it instantly makes me wanna get out and up into the mountains. Top class content as usual and amazing shots!
Great video work, excellent photos, fantastic commentary and brilliant tips covered with a smooth rich covering of enthusiasm. I really enjoy every episode you produce. Thank you for letting me join you each time.
Great video again, interesting to find out what you think to the Olympus EM1 MKII. I see that D Griff uses one as well. Will be making the full framers spit out their tea
Oh young Henry! This wainwright series is inspired. What fabulous conditions. You are one lucky chap. I LOVE moody and atmospheric. I am usually too shattered to go out for sunsets and I'm up early for work so sunrise hasn't got a hope. I'll take what I can wherever I can & that's just how it is when you're in your late 50s & working full time! Keep em coming lad!
what a trouper that you are always keeping focus at the possibilities versus the obstacles. And when an obstacle arises (ie the wind) you face it and smile at the opportunity of "living the dream !" thank-you so much for feeding our souls ! please keep cracking on.
Whoa... love, love, love that 1st image, 4:30.. The 2 Olympus shots are to die for, gorgeous palette under a lowering sky.. The shot over and around Kentmere is too stunning for words. hope you enjoyed your Pot Noodle.. Thank you Henry for another great vid..
Great images again. The conditions give you the opportunity to produce images with character, dramatic landscapes, so much more interesting than sunny blue skies and sunsets.
I logged on to You-tube for a scheduled release from another well known vlogger and saw that this had just been posted. So I postponed the one that I had logged on for and watched you instead. Excellent series of images, as usual. My favourite was the one at 10.30. Keep up the brilliant work.
Looking at your photos moves me in the same way my favorite artist Tom Thomson's work moves me. You have a wonderful way of capturing beauty in the world.
Beautiful images and yes....give me dark clouds, fog, mist and mood any day over a sunset!
You always get the best pictures in the worse weather.
Another gorgeous spot, and your shots capture it perfectly in some classic Lake District weather! I used to come here to watch the golden eagles 20+ years ago - it’s a shame they disappeared from the area.
Great images in some amazing light! I certainly enjoy chasing the sunrise or sunset, but you're probably right!
Love your enthusiasm, when the world settles down, I want to go there. Cheers from down under 🇳🇿 ps nice photos 👍
Wow, that picture at 10:35!!! Stunning!!
Another STELLAR adventure! I wouldn't miss an episode.
These are pretty special Henry, mood and atmosphere any day over a bright sunset, those conditions really characterize the Lake District
Great video! Some nices images and great like the atmosphere of the lake district
You clearly enjoyed yourself, despite looking so cold on occasions, in this video! Wonderful images but the final one did it for me. Cheers.
Absolutely love the pictures. I'm fan!
What a buzz Henry, like a box of chocolate, you don't know what you are going to get. Cracking.
Just another great day
and wonderful shots.

"Top Draw.
Look forward to your next adventure.
Cracking set of images on this walk.

Nothing more than TOP DRAW 👍

Just a bit excited then? :-) Don't blame you. That combination of conditions was quite something.
Lovely texture in that first waterfall shot Henry...👍🏻
