My dad passed away 10yrs ago and I I got his Nikon D90. You have inspired me to take it out I don't really know what in doing with a 70-300mm telephoto or an 18-105 but I'm giving it a go. Thank you! And I would love to see a shot of Buttermere.
Go through the back of the car park that you show at 11:38 in the video, and up the path to the valley between Rannerdale and Grassmoor, and you'll find the bluebells. I think the odd, mostly cold and dry, weather since January has had an impact on this year's bluebells. They certainly don;t seem to be at their best. The NT has roped off the paths so you can't get in among the flowers, which is probably a good thing (for everyone except the landscape photographers).
Back to a tripod I see. I couldn't watch those hand held photography videos. But I understand why and when its ok to do hand held photography. Keep having fun Henry.
Loving this Wainwright series Henry and having only summited a handful myself it has really inspired me to pull my finger out and climb a few more with the camera. I watch your films on my 48” TV which is amazing when seeing the epic views and vistas. On another note you will love Ireland - I spent a week over there a couple of years ago - Pine Island in Connemara is fabulous as is Diamond Hill not to mention the Benmore Cliffs at Achill Island. Croagh Patrick is worth a hike as are the cliffs around Benwee Head. The Cliffs of Moher are stunning and one you must visit. Anyway really enjoying the Lakes films and thanks for sharing 👍🏻😊
The quality of your videos and photos over the past year have increased dramatically. I'm only a casual viewer of yours so the difference is night and day from the last few I saw. Great job Henry! I'll definitely be sure to watch more.
You just needed to turn left instead of right at the end of the ridge line and the path back down would have taken you through the bluebells. I was up there 3 weeks ago and it has got to be one of the best rewards for not a great deal of effort climbs in the Lake District from a photographers point of view.
If there ever was one good thing about lock down, it was the lack of mad traffic and zillions of people about wherever one ventured out to. Back to normal now.
Nicely done again Henry. Good mix of exposures on first image. Sorry you didn’t see any bluebells, thought they were mostly in the more wooded areas. Thanks again for sharing Henry. Stay safe 😷🇦🇺 11/214
Dude, you have become my favorite RUclipsr! I love your enthusiasm in everything you do. Just so honest and straightforward with your content and your photography. You don’t tell us how great you are, you just show us. I skip over all my subscriptions to other Landscape Photo bloggers to watch any new content you post. I am from the U.S. and most likely never make it to the Lake District so your trips are giving me insight to that beautiful national park and all it has to offer. Thank you Henry and Cheers!
Everything is late this year, the tulips were a couple of weeks late as well here, and the daffodils. I actually follow Simon Baxter, and he posted on Instagram couldn't find bluebells eighter in the woods that usually have many bluebells at this time of year. No clue what is going on this year, maybe they are late too like everything else. The tulips were at least 3 weeks late this year, if not more, so who knows.. Beautiful location though, this might be my favorite Wainwright so far!
Whenever someone thinks they have "figured it out"...they realize that they haven't figured anything out. The more you learn...the more one realizes how little one knows. Nice video!
When you spoke about finding the blue bells, the carpark you were looking at, walk through there too the back side of rannerdale knot, the valley is full of them, and a great way to walk up
Good man! The Olympus on its native ISO of 200! I'm sure the difference is tiny, but it is something that has always rattled around in my head. Great walk sir - keep them coming!
Henry mate, do your research! I googled Rannerdale Bluebells and when in flower, the valley floor (bluebells are a lowland, woodland flower) looks stunning! You might have missed a trick there. Anyway great vlog and great shots as ever! Looking forward to the next one!
I have to say, thank you for sharing all your adventures. I live in Turkey an we're still in lockdown. Already over a month since I was able to go out with my camera. And your RUclips chanel gives me the feeling of being part of your adventures. And I want to say thank you for that. Keep it up. #livingthedream #livingyourdream
The bluebells are 'round the back' of Rannerdale Knotts in Rannerdale proper. They are very late this year and not a good show yet. The NT has also roped off most of the usual shooting points.
Loving these wainwright videos Henry. I am making notes and marking down the routes on OS MAPS app for a visit to that gorgeous part of the country. Love the photos. I love your enthusiasm. It’s contagious. 👌
Another good video. The first blended shot worked very well, something I may try sometime, and the final picture complemented it nicely. This series just gets better.
Great video and the Bluebells are down in the valley. There is a parking place just below the summit and you can walk from there. You were filming the car park just towards the end. Follow the path at the end of that and it takes you through the gate into the area with them.
Well done on reaching the goal. I love the last image. The B&W overall is good, but I think maybe you should dodge or lighten up the lake , maybe about a third stop, especially in the areas where it’s lit by the sun.
Love your choice of the composite on your first image, it also highlighted the reflections of the fence in the foreground water! Great video as always Henry!
Another top video Henry top photos in this one, beautiful spot Would love to see a map of the whole area to some perspective of where you are on each wainwright as we are following along with you from Australia 🇦🇺 Thanks Henry
I haven't watched your channel for a while but your videos have gotten quite good! I enjoy the shots and the music selections. I still don't quite understand your use of the 16-35 on the crop sensor body but you're obviously getting great results with the combo, keep it up! :)
When you do get to Ireland you should include Dingle & the Blasket Isle in your trip. Check out its history and literature and be prepared for some fantastic locations. Thanks for sharing.
As always: very inspiring! What's up with the Olympus? Looking at the comments so far, many noticed that and are keen to hear your rationale behind it... Looking forward to footage from ireland in your enthusiastic style!
Holy Moly! People, where did THEY come from? Scared off all the bluebells too Another nice enjoyable, informative, "HENthusiasm" laden video To quote a well known photographer round these parts, "MINT"
Just out of curiosity just watched your first ever vlog, Brilliant shows how far you've come just wondering as i'm thinking of starting my own vlog as we head out of this lockdown. Great Job as always Henry keep going with the fells and good luck....
More great stuff Henry, I particularly liked the photo at the end. Also nice to see some of the metadata to see not just what you're taking shots of, but how you're doing it too. Another grand day out, thanks for sharing.
As soon as I saw a forecast for possible rain in the late afternoon I packed my smaller bag and went out. The clouds to the west looked promising, but that was the wrong choice. I didn’t get rain, just a face full of desert sand and dust.
Haha You should have name the video "No Bluebells today" after the song No milk today. Anyway, great vid like every other of the series. It would be nice to include numbers so we can easier keep track of the progress of this series. Keep it up Henry! Cheers!
So I have just happened across this and your channel this evening - subscribed! What an accessible, easy going way you have with all your vids, thank you! I also have to say I noticed you use the same camera as me (or in the blurb it says Nikon D7200) so that was a big part of my interest - learning a few tricks to apply already, thank you :). I also and a BIG fan of 'moody' or 'dramatic' skies, they are the best!
Another cracking informative video yet again from the master loved the first shot of the water flat what was the settings for that please . The Lake District Should Be Proud Of You . Roll On Sunday
Another great video Henry and so pleased to hear the Ireland trip is funded for you a d for us to benefit, I am very interested in it as it's on my hit list 😊👍, never thought about blending a long exposure to a normal one , did you do it in Lightroom or Photoshop, thourghly enjoying the current series 👍😊📸
thought the LE blend in the first image worked well Henry and cracking final image too. Hopefully you will make it back up to Scotland too sometime in the future
Slipping in some stills from your Olympus! Does this indicate that Henry Turner may be moving over to mirrorless and the D7200 could be nearing it's end?
Fantastic vlog Henry, images looked great especially with those clouds breaking and letting some sun through. Have I missed a video where you've changed your gear set up, didn't realise you were shooting Olympus 🤔
👍nice one Henry , long time follower ,loving the channel. I’m based in Ireland , amateur big time enthusiast photographer , would love to help show you some of the spots I’ve found and shot here! Please drop me a line or save my details and I can defiantly point you in some directions .... Ireland is some spot and accessible for a tour ! Just ask for what you need ... can send map pins advice and the not so well shot spots 😉
Another great Vlog Henry, fantastic views from the top of Rannerdale Knotts and you captured some great images. I have sent you a DM on Instagram regarding the bluebells.
Thanks all for the (much needed) advice regarding the bluebells' whereabouts. Please note: they're in Rannerdale - not Rannerdale Knotts! 😂🍻
Henry check your instagram messages.
Hey can you gift me 250bucks so that I can buy Nikon z5 with 200mm lens😂
My dad passed away 10yrs ago and I I got his Nikon D90. You have inspired me to take it out I don't really know what in doing with a 70-300mm telephoto or an 18-105 but I'm giving it a go. Thank you! And I would love to see a shot of Buttermere.
Excellent video but that first photograph quite simply blew my socks off with the final image coming in a close second!
You’re the only person I genuinely look forward to seeing a new video post available to view. Ex content as usual, keep up the good work 📸
Go through the back of the car park that you show at 11:38 in the video, and up the path to the valley between Rannerdale and Grassmoor, and you'll find the bluebells. First Images Henry ... wow, just wow. It was a pause the Video moment. Some other stunning stuff too.
The shot of the fence at 3.20 and the house in 6.05 fantastic !! great video stay safe. !!
Great trip! Too bad about the blue bells. Thanks for bringing us along!
Back to a tripod I see. I couldn't watch those hand held photography videos. But I understand why and when its ok to do hand held photography. Keep having fun Henry.
Loved the photo with the railing (fence) in the water

Thanks Rob, really appreciate that mate

Nice one Henry, just back from a week in he lakes, love Crummock Water
I've got a photo of my wife and dog in the exact same place taken 20 years ago.
6:05
The expression on the face of that building! D:
If there ever was one good thing about lock down, it was the lack of mad traffic and zillions of people about wherever one ventured out to. Back to normal now.

Stunning images, you are so lucky to have such places to photograph

Beautiful last picture.
Olympus?....what is going on Henry?.....have you suddenly become an Olympus Ambassador?....looking forward to the next video...😘📸🌈🇬🇧
Yay! First shot is amazing!!! 😁
Yessss Man, nice work!!!!
Whenever someone thinks they have "figured it out"...they realize that they haven't figured anything out. The more you learn...the more one realizes how little one knows. Nice video!
The bluebells are in the valley of Rannerdale, not on the fell!
When you spoke about finding the blue bells, the carpark you were looking at, walk through there too the back side of rannerdale knot, the valley is full of them, and a great way to walk up

You are certainly flying through the fells.
Really nice images.
I love the tiny house photo

congrats on Ireland! Looking forward to those videos... and even videos of you planning the trip?
Another good video. The first blended shot worked very well, something I may try sometime, and the final picture complemented it nicely. This series just gets better.

I have bleubells in the Garden.
Had to laugh. The "cloud, sun and rain" on the map. I do the same thing
Great photos as always but I absolutely loved the first one, cannot wait to see what you will shoot here in Ireland
Brucey bonus slipping that Oly shot in at the end which took me by surprise. Hope to see more from the OMD as that's what i shoot with 👍
hope you enjoy that well deserved cup of tea.
Nice final shot...with an Olympus om-d e-m1 mark ii. You kept that quiet!
Ah Ha thought I had missed a video when I saw that 🤔
Well done on reaching the goal. I love the last image. The B&W overall is good, but I think maybe you should dodge or lighten up the lake , maybe about a third stop, especially in the areas where it’s lit by the sun.
The last image is a belter Henry. Congrats on the Ireland trip, you will really love it there.
Love your choice of the composite on your first image, it also highlighted the reflections of the fence in the foreground water! Great video as always Henry!
First Shot right out of the Bag, FIRE!

Would love to see a map of the whole area to some perspective of where you are on each wainwright as we are following along with you from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks Henry
legend - nice job mate, I enjoyed that
Wonderful work 👏
It was killing me that you couldn't find the bluebells when they were only round the corner in Rannerdale! 😅
I haven't watched your channel for a while but your videos have gotten quite good! I enjoy the shots and the music selections. I still don't quite understand your use of the 16-35 on the crop sensor body but you're obviously getting great results with the combo, keep it up! :)
Can you tell us more about the pile of rocks that are on top of the fells? I love your videos.
When you do get to Ireland you should include Dingle & the Blasket Isle in your trip. Check out its history and literature and be prepared for some fantastic locations. Thanks for sharing.
As always: very inspiring!

That composite image at the start worked super well! I'll have to give that a go next time I'm out around any lakes or water. Great job.
Sublime images again Henry, cheers mate 👍🏻

Nice photos Henry 👍At the very end of the video, the "Subscribe" and "More..." links aren't included 🤦🏻♂️😂
Great day out as usual, but how come in the text it says Olympus as the camera settings, love the pics....
Cracking shots there mate and congrats on achieving the Ireland target. Looking forward to seeing the content from that.
Unabated Enthusiasm! Just exceptional.
The first photo and the final one are my favourites on this video, fantastic views Henry. Thanks again mate. :-)

Can u show the befor editing the photos and after please Henry I love your channel m8
Really nice, bluebells or no bluebells! What were the yellow flowers?
Slipping in some stills from your Olympus! Does this indicate that Henry Turner may be moving over to mirrorless and the D7200 could be nearing it's end?

So glad you have reached your goal for Ireland 🇮🇪
Lovely shots.
Hello!
There are lots of blue bells out in Spring Wood , Whalley nrClitheroe . Love the light in the last shot
