Clayton Offroad makes a rear trackbar that has a small bend in it to provide a little extra clearance. Seems like just enough to fit a full size 37" tire.
Yep! I I totally forgot about them when I was making this video. From what I gather however, you still run into the problem of the tire not fitting between the frame rails which I should’ve been a little bit more clear about.
I have the Clayton rear track bar and while it was snug we were able to get several 37×12.50s to fit including a Toyo. I was running the BFG 37s which run small but we wanted to test another brand. The Clayton Trackbar makes a big difference.
I was able to fit a 37 12.50r17 Milestar patagonia mt 02 with the Clayton trackbar and stock spare rim. It only touches the heat shield in a small area
Dude I love your truck so much lol. Im hoping wishing and praying I can get my very first brand new vehicle and this one is the one I want. Thanks for sharing my dude
Correct. I completely forgot about them when I was making this video. However, you are ultimately limited to the width between the frame rails, which is still too narrow for most true to size 37‘s. That is still a good solution for many though.
I have the Clayton rear trac bar also and have a BFG AT3 on a TeraFlex wheel w/ 40 psi and extra room for more tire. True though the BFG AT3's do run smaller than stated size.
I've ran 3 different 37s under mine before I went to the RK four link. Now I'm facing the issue of having to load the tire in the bed so I can chop the Lower quarter panel and tow hitch for a better departure angle.
I actually spoke to some of the designers when the gladiator came out and it’s a non true to size 37 that works. I have a 37” K02 and it fits without touching fully inflated. But they don’t run true to size.
If someone was dead set on running the. 37 maybe try running it flat and using a HD ratchet strap to pull the tire away from the track bar. Then air the tire up on the trail if you need it.
you could always just do one a little undersized... a little more work if your rear is out... just make sure only run it on front til you can make repair or replacement tire happen ....
This has been discussed in extended length on the jeepgladiator forum. Only certain 37” tires will fit. I have a 37” bfg km2 as a spare and still have 3/4” to 1” to my rear trackbar on my gladiator. Good luck to all! Ps… absolutely no LT tire is true to size!!! Ever!!! Good luck to all
I would leave it on there. If they were worried about it from the factory, I would definitely be concerned about it with a larger tire sitting closer to it.
Use the RockKrawler traingulated 4 link to remove the track bar. I run 37s on my JT-R Diesel on a 5.5" lift, the track bar rubbing is still a problem, just do the right thing and the articulation will blow your mind over your aftermarket lift. Sorry, it's true. My 37s measure 36.64" so they will just barely squeak by, just don't.
It should free up more room. I don't believe the upper mounts for the RK four-link stick out past the differential. So, there should be more room overall.
Is it a documented fact that wheel size influences tire diameter? I thought the same thing, but my Ridge Grappler skinnys are 33" on an 8.5 Method. I was thinking they'd be shorter because they're on a wider (too wide) wheel. The Steel belts can't flex that much can they?
In my experience if you take the same 12.50-inch wide tire and move it from a 7.5-inch-wide wheel to a 9-inch-wide wheel you will see that the tread flattens. I think it's more about how a narrow wheel will make the tire crown instead of laying flat. It's why you have to run a lower tire pressure to increase the contact patch when the rim is too narrow. I remember talking about this years ago. It's one of the reasons why they have approved rim widths for a given tire.

Synergy too. Can fit a toyo 37/13.5/17

Clayton makes rear track bar with bend in it so my 37 fits. I do put spare in bed when off-roading though

@@Ali_Mansour_Editor thanks for the video though! Still a tight fit slightly deflated. I have a Cooper ST Maxx, and it seems pretty true to size

Wow, crazy. We have a nitto ridge grappler on a method wheel and it fits perfectly in the stock location.
35’s are the magic number….!!
Thanks for that as I’m facing the same situation. I have a 2 1/2 inch Mopar lift and 35x12.50 KO2’s on 18” wheels

That might work, but I'm not sure you could get it between the framerails.

Nitro should make 36 tire. Love your videos every thing is so useful
Thank you! And, yes. A 36 would be awesome.
Great video, thanks! Greetings from the Netherlands
Thanks for watching!
Grind the rear of the receiver, it pokes out past the weld and will give you the room needed. I run 37x12.5x17, 9.5 wheel
Is it not good to remove the heat shield if required to get 37” tire to fit? I have a Clayton lift so no problem with track bar.

Can i fit my 37s underneath of raptor with rear long travel suspension?
maybe the wheel matters but my 37x12.5 trail grapplers on fuel 17x9 coverts fits just fine....also rather hit the spare than the frame
Can you run 37s on stock Mojave wheels without a lift? I dont want to change my suspension. 2022 Mojave, thank you
So running a 4 link where you get rid of the track bar (rock krawler) would work.

Do you have pics and size of your 35 tires on the gladiator?
Yes. www.drivingline.com/articles/35s-no-lift-part-ii-with-aev-jeep-gladiator-wheels-inside-line/

@@DrivingLine Interesting. I hadn't thought about the crowning of the tire.
Aftermarket rear trackbar.
What’s your opinion on 35” 12.5 on a stock wheel 17x7.5 and can I fitted in my Mojave without any rubbing?
That should fit just fine.
Buy a Clayton track bar and you can fit a 38 13.5
Most 37’s work. The trail grapplers are just a very big 37’s.
Does anyone make a 36" tire?
Man can i use 35s on the stock space?
Yes.
Stay stock. Anything else will effect driving. Bigger is not always better. You simply making everything worse and killing your car.
Opinions are like A$$holes ....
