    Thank you so much for watching everyone! If you enjoy this video or my content and wish to help, please subscribe so we can continue having short to the point videos!
    If you're new to my channel, I like to make guides/news/reviews that are short and to the point. As an mmo player, I don't like the new trend of 20min+ videos to explain REALLY easy stuff. So I decided to take it into my own hands, and make content that's easy, fast to digest,and allows you to go back to playing faster.
    This channel is mainly just a hobby thing and I don't plan on receiving any monetization or letting my content become filled with fluff. I upload every Saturday so you can expect a consistent upload schedule! When NGS drops I will also be uploading one video during the week, while maintaining a Saturday upload.

    EDIT(6/12/2021): Compiled most asked questions & their answers here: ruclips.net/video/T25x8e-hZvE/видео.html
    EDIT(6/10/2021): 20 SP distribution = Grab EVERYTHING in the skill tree, PP recovery leave at 9/10, Overwhelm at 1/10 (grab these last).
    Once the game releases, I'll be releasing a guide for every single class in the same format (5mins-ish so you can go back to playing the game). I aim to keep guides short and easy to digest so you can easily go back to playing the game since I'm not a fan of 20min+ guides, and I honestly don't think you need more than 8 mins to explain a class in PSO2 or PSO2 NGS. Thank you all for watching and thank you for the support! Have a nice day!

      @@dgoalie92 Hmm, if you're focusing purely on PP regen TMGs will definitely fit the bill for you from how fast they can regen PP. Rifle per shot is pretty decent and you get access to Homing Darts (This is as good as Aimless Rain). Another option is to stick with Gunner as a sub, and then you can multiweapon a wand+talis.
      This would give you access to the Talis Weapon Action which is a turret that regens A LOT of pp per hit. With Gunner sub, this pretty much gives you infinite PP and is the setup i run on my Techter (I do either TeFo/TeGu for my setups). Hope that helps out your decision making!

    nice video!
    i want to run a couple things by you to see what you think (theory crafting). as a gunner, our biggest concern is chain trigger uptime and getting as many 100 buffs off as we possibly can. it's a fun playstyle, but it doesn't give us much wiggle room for other weapons because our TMGs are by far the most effective applicant of our buff count. with that in mind, wouldn't a better use of skill points be to disregard spread shot and spread shot quick getaway and put those points into PP recovery? it's not a huge boost or anything, but i don't see where using a rifle is ever optimal over TMGs. of course if that's how you want to play, by all means. but from a pure DPS standpoint, TMGs should always be the priority, no?
    also, about initiating fights, point blank doesn't seem to be the best solution in most cases. maybe if there are two enemies and you can hit them both reliably, then yeah point blank probably is the best option. but if there's one, like you said, bullet rave is the way to go. if there's more than two (for instance when you're farming PSE bursts) it's often best to initiate with a charged aimless rain into an uncharged aimless rain. it stacks your buff incredibly fast. i've pulled off 55 charges in one charged aimless rain and followed up with an uncharged and was fully capped in about 3 or 4 seconds. you can really lay waste to packs with this method.
    what are your thoughts on this?
    and keep the content coming! there aren't enough gunner content creators! hope you're having fun in NGS!

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад +2

      Hi hi and thanks! So for the SP distribution, after doing multiple tests it would be better to disregard Spreadshot on Gunner and allocate them to 10/10 PP Recovery + 2/10 Overwhelm unless someone finds some crazy thing to do on a Gunner combo that is NOT GuRa. GuRa already hands us those two spread shot skills + Rifle Grenadier + Slide shot advance, due to the Ranger subclass.
      Now in terms of priority, yeah TMGs will always be the priority due to how chain trigger functions (You'll want to always be building chain or restarting chain).
      For initiating fights, this is where it gets tricky. So anything that's trash mob/AoE related, I would honestly just do charged aimless + uncharged like you said since that'll pretty much kill trash mobs immediately.
      For the point blank, that is more geared towards single target DPS in general. The reason why is because of Chain Boost, and this is where Gunner gets finnicky. So Bullet Rave does 660 Potency, Point Blank does 330 Potency total. Bullet Rave's damage is backloaded so I would treat it more as first 3 bursts = 330~400, while the final hit is 330~260 potency.
      Where this gets more complicated is due to the 120% ASPD gain from Chain Boost. SO basically, pre 120% ASPD (4 81+ Chain trigger explosions), Bullet Rave will outdps Point Blank. Once you reach 120% ASPD, the animation lock+long animation lock for bullet rave, causes this to flip where Point Blank is now doing more DPS than Bullet Rave. So at this point, you'll be using a mixture of Sroll + Sroll Counter to pump your point blank damage (all uncharged). You'll also be using Bullet Rave at the same time when out of those two ranges to keep building chain. Now once you hit 100 chain this is the most optimal chain ender I've found which pretty much solidifies spamming point blank over bullet rave at 120% ASPD.
      *Chain Finisher Ender Most Common people use due to Bullet Rave:*
      Charged Bullet Rave (660 Pot) -> Bullet Rave again (~2 bursts-ish finisher multiplier falls off before final end)/Point Blank (~potentially 150~330 potency).
      *800~990 Potency Total under finisher damage buff*
      *My Chain Finisher I've optimized:*
      Charged Point blank (330 Pot) -> Point Blank (330 Pot) -> Point Blank (330 Pot) -> Point Blank (330 Pot)/OnSlaught > Might get a 5th PB if fast enough -> Chain Finisher falls off.
      *1320~1650 Potency Total under finisher damage buff*
      So basically we're getting nearly double the damage, sometimes triple, on the chain finisher due to how fast we can pump out point blanks under the multiplier at 120% ASPD. And with a focus on Point Blank spam at 120% ASPD, you'll be within counter range as well as you Sroll so the DPS due to Sroll+Point Blank from sheer speed and PP regen from normal rolling, You will be heavily out dpsing standard bullet rave spam. This would leave bullet rave as the better DPS option when you use it for UQ bosses who fly away, and it leaves bullet rave as the better chain trigger ender when your chain boost is about to fall off.
      So TL;DR: 120% ASPD = Spam Point blanks/Srolls/Sroll Counter Point Blanks as much as possible for potency, End chains with pure point blank spam for nearly 2x-3x damage over Bullet Rave's ender. Use Bullet Rave for your ender if your Chain Boost is about to fall off (ALWAYS prioritize keeping your 120% ASPD buff from Chain Boost, otherwise you will have to rebuild 4 chains to get it back).

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад +1

      @@jD304304 Oh so for subclasses, honestly it's really just all personal preference. SEGA kinda removed the whole point of subclasses by making their benefits so minimal that they're all pretty equal or within 1% of each other. So previously I was GuHu for using TMG+Wired Lance (Wired Lance allows you to use the weapon action to fly DIRECTLY to weak points and keep point blank uptime). I've now shifted more towards GuRa mainly because of Launcher, but it also allows me to do RaGu if I want to focus more on the Ranger weapons. Force as a subclass works really well if you wanna try it out btw! Same with Fighter on downed/break phases (this leads to REALLY nutty damage with the point blank rotation). I was always a BO main so I’m new to Gunner, I remember reading the PAs are slightly different immediately following a Chain Boost Finisher, is that true and if so, how would you use that effectively? Great video!

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад +1

      So interestingly enough, I was extensively testing that last night before servers went down! So after a Chain Finisher (this triggers boost), your attacks for everything are sped up to 120%. This actually makes Sroll and Onslaught more viable because their animations are incredibly faster. Buuut this also makes point blank REALLY valuable since you can virtually spam it to PP dump, sroll to animation cancel the end (this is -10pp), and 2 normal attacks will generate 40pp (this is with 9/10 PP recovery, 1/10 Overwhelm). So basically Gunner IMO has a little ramp up phase, but once you hit 120% it's ridiculously fast and fun =D
      So tl;dr: Assuming you're close enough, pretty much up keep spamming point blank+sroll/onslaught , and if it's too far bullet rave in in or photon dash + step attack towards the target. Also try and maintain your chain boost the whole time (this is easy with Chain Reload) so you can keep up the 120% attack speed.
      EDIT: Forgot to mention, since you'll be close with my playstyle, everytime you sroll and see a blue flash with a *ping* on counter, fully charge a point blank for easy max+fast damage, Bullet Rave has a realllllly long animation lock even with the 120% attack speed boost.

    Ive been using Gunner and Force as support for my fighter and I have both of the Passive PP skills maxed and I honestly can't seem to feel a difference. Does overwhelm in the gunner skill tree over ride the PP recovery skill and make it so you don't recover faster? Also as a force subclass I was running around with my knuckles out and my PP was not going up passively, am I missing something here?
    I'm juggling back and forth between gunner and force but I can't figure out which one to max as my subclass. I'm knuckle fighter and I love the in your face approach. Also one more question the skills in the fighter tree that cause you to cancel your attack i dont remember what they are called they are the ones in the top right, how do they work? I haven't picked those up or the 5 normal attack up yet because I dont know how much they will really add to my overall DPS. Thousand fists rotated into normal attacks seems to do massive damage I don't know how I could get more damage than that.
    But yeah my main question is why does it not feel like gunner an force are giving me and noticable PP recovery. I switched from hunter and can't seem to feel much of a difference but everyone says that force sub gives them unlimited pp and i didn't feel that at all as a knuckle fighter, same as a gunner didn't feel the unlimited PP that people are claiming.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  2 года назад +1

      So this is how it works between Gunner and Force's PP recovery and why it's kinda confusing.
      Gunner's PP Recovery is based off ACTIVE recovery, which means every time you successfully connect a normal attack, you'll gain more PP on average.
      Force's PP Recovery is based off PASSIVE recovery, which means when you're not attacking, your PP naturally recovers faster. But Force also has another skill which gives you PP *per mob killed in your area* which is what people reference as infinite PP.
      Now here's where it gets confusing and it'll probably answer your question. So the issue you're probably running into is that you're photon dashing A LOT. Photon Dashes specifically do not cause you to recover PP + they stall your PP regen as well. IMO SEGA should change it so you can PP recover while dashing, but atm it's not the case.
      This means on Melee if you run specifically Fighter/Force and use Knuckle, your passive PP recovery isn't that noticeable but if you're in a PSE Burst, you'll notice your PP being infinite due to the other Force PP passive for mob kills.
      However on Fighter/Gunner, you'll notice a slight PP increase from your normal attacks when you weave them in between your PAs.
      Now onto the Fighter skill tree, the top right skills are called Skip Arts and should be 100% taken. The extra normal attack damage adds quite a lot of DPS and PP regen to you + has guard/s on top of it if I recall for Fighter.
      As a breakdown for each one (specific to fighter)
      Skip Arts = If you stand still, you can skip to the second half of your PA, this allows higher DPS rotations to be possible.
      Same Arts = If you do two PAs of the same type, this lets you SKIP to the Knuckle Attack Extra which adds a lot of free damage + PP recovery to make your PP more efficient.
      Another Arts = Same thing as Same Arts but allows you to use different PAs to trigger that final normal attack.
      So basically on Fighter, your goal is to use Same Arts/Skip Arts/Another Arts to get your highest DPS out while maintaining PP efficiency.
      Hope that helps you out and answers some of your questions!

    • @jonmarek
      @jonmarek 2 года назад

      @@everydere Thank you for the excellent and detailed response! I dash around a lot so that is for sure why my PP wasn't recovering. I still don't know which subclass I should use though, seems like the extra 10% active pp from gunner is barely noticeable while the force users mobs dying in the area is useful for most of the game except for urgent quests?
      A couple more questions how many skill points do you get for your class and are the towers the only way to earn extra skill points? I only have enough points to get all the skip arts but not the normal attack 5, should i respect or get the skip arts and hope that i get another skill point down the line?
      Lastly what is the best subclass in your opinion for a knuckle fighter? I can see benefits to both force and gunner right now depending on what situation youre in, however I dont like switching out from my knuckles to another weapon its kind of clunky with a controller so multiweapon might be needed for dealing with some of the large enemies. This was why I leaned towards gunner first because I would switch to rifle and pew pew things that were annoying to get in close with. But i have since learned to use drafts to float up there much better.
      With the current meta is Bouncer a good sub class? I mean purely for passives, I know you can use techs as a bouncer but I assume you have to switch out your weapon to use the techs right? Unless you multi weapon? I generally try and stay on top of the enemies as much as possible thats my play style i rarely stop attacking.
      And lastly I noticed that my battle power level increased when I put my force as my sub job but its level 10 and my gunner is level 14...why would that be? Is it because I've put more points in my force skill tree?A
      And extra lastly does your subclass contribute any stats to your main class or is it purely the shared weapons and skill tree?
      I've been playing since PSO on the dreamcast so I love this series but the complexity is taking me some time to wrap my head around. Thanks for your time!

      Good time to start experimenting! My favorite spots to see how you feel about the class are Cocoon's "Defeat Enhanced Enemy" where to fight a Petas Sword with an enhancement core, this helps you see if you like the rotation of the class (don't hit the enhancement core and its virtually a training dummy for execution). Second place I like to test the feel of the class is the Cocoon at Halpha Lake which is a 1v1 Bujin fight.
      Also between Force and Techter they're both really fun. I find that Awake Aile on Techter is really nice on the UQ since it brings up your PB faster, but Force's natural PP recovery is really nice as well so it's a hard choice honestly.

    1. After you get chain to100, does it matter which PA you use to close it? Does it increase all PA’s attack speed or just the one you close the chain with?
    -
    2. If you close the chain, then re-open the chain does it stack attack speed chain after chain or your just losing the original chain & resetting again froM zero?

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад +1

      For #1:
      After you get 100 chain, you enter a VERY short period for increased damage (This is called the chain finisher). The PA rotation I reccomend you to do is to start with a charged point blank, and repeatedly do point blanks. This comes out to wayyy more potency than Bullet Rave triggering because Chain's finisher damage bonus usually falls off due to Bullet Rave's huge animation lock (But make sure you use bullet rave to pop your chain IMMEDIATELY if your chain boost is about to expire!).
      Chain Boost (The buff from chain trigger) Affects ALL moves for TMGs with the attack speed bonus, capping out to 120% ASPD which then leads to your question #2,
      For #2:
      When you close the chain then reopen, it does stack the attack speed after chain so you're not restarting from 0! The core gameplay loop of gunner is to build 4 chains to 81+ (5% ASPD per 81+ chain), which caps you out at 120% ASPD for your TMGs. After you reach this 120% point, your goal is to maintain building high 81+ chains, detonating your finishers with large damage, and continue building them up.
      So basically as a tl;dr for the priority list for Gunner it's:
      1 . Build up to 120% ASPD Chain Boost ASAP.
      2. UPKEEP CHAINBOOST'S 120% at all costs. (Use Bullet Rave to trigger chain from far away, if you can't go in for a Point Blank Spam + Buff is about to fall off)
      3. Detonate your chains at 81~100 Chain for max Finisher damage.
      Hope that answers your questions! feel free to ask more!

Course this only really works well when there's a weak point to hit and is slow moving. Also used as a good way to stagger enemies too if you know where to hit. Able to get 5 uses of onslaught within the burst window over say two possible three full point blanks. Something to consider

    • @everydere

      Yup this was made back before they confirmed a lot of stuff. ATM The top 2 subclasses I use are Gunner and Force. Gunner is great when your class uses it's normal attack in a sequence since you'll pretty much be able to maintain your PP recovery + attack chain. Force is my go to for the vast majority since talis multi-box on a multi wep guarantees infinite PP, but PP eradication makes mobbing ridiculously OP from constant PA spam while PP convert gives you infinite PP during a burst phase on a UQ. ATM my main classes i use are GuFo/TeFo/HuFo since all 3 of those are absolutely ridiculous LOL

      Fromm my testing, you can do it if you plan on using techs or rod so it's possible. The Subclass skill that force basically gives is natural PP recovery which isn't bad so combined with Gunner's PP recovery you should be able to go from 100% pp to 0 and back to 100% faster.

    • @furseus9120
      @furseus9120 3 года назад +1

      Another question if you don’t mind, but beside rods weapon action what’s different from it and the talis? Cuz it just seems like the talis can do all of what the rod can do(except weapon art) plus it’s own stuff.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад +1

      @@furseus9120 Hi Furseus no problem! The biggest difference is just Rod's extra Skill that adds an extra attack to your next tech cast (Elemental Bullet), and gives you some invuln after successfully guarding (Rod React Advanced). Rod also has the ability to allow you to dodge/Weapon Action and not consume PP when charging a technique (Rod Technique Hold). So basically I'd view rod as a more "Keep distance+keep casting 24/7" while talis is more of a jack of all trades kind of tech wep, but also gains tricky capacitor. I hope that clarifies it a little!
      EDIT:
      Tl;dr: They both do basically the same thing, but Rod's specialty is it's Elemental Bullet/Rod React Advanced/Technique Hold which manages it's PP slightly better, but Talis is virtually the same thing and has Tricky Capacitor so it's down to your personal preference (my friend uses Talis instead of Wand/Rod).

I can confirm though, the chain boost attack speed bonus is only locked to twin machine guns.

    You should only cancel Bullet Rave when your building your stacks since its the fastest single target way to build to 100 stacks. If your using Aimless Rain and can hit 4 or more enemies 2 of those can get you to 100 stacks if not 3 max. And to max your damage once you have your 100 stacks you should be letting last hit of bullet rave land as it will do more damage by far for last hit more then doing 3 rapid presses of bullet rave alone. Last hit can hit 600+ easily which is like spamming the skill 3 times and your doing it in less time since you have the 100 stack for attack speed to get to that end shot. If your canceling the last hit your gimping your damage. You should only ever cancel that if your not building stacks or need to dodge evade attack. Point blank should only be used to help stay in critical range if you move out of it outside of that the it doesn't even do half the damage as bullet rave and doesn't build stacks at all.

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад

      Hi hi I've made a completely updated video answering some of the stuff from this guide, more tuned for full release.
      I'll also be dropping a video soon explaining Bullet Rave vs Point Blank, but tl;dr since I know you probably figured this out. Bullet Rave's damage is actually completely back loaded, while Point Blank's isn't. That means once you achieve the 120% Chain Boost due to how fast Gunner Regenerates PP, the most possible DPS is to spam Point Blank + abuse Sroll counter's extra 20% Potency since you'll be able to fit 3-4+ point blanks in the span of one Bullet Rave due to animation locks.
      Keeping within Stylish Roll's range on top of this, pretty much outdpses Bullet Rave completely , then during the last 80-ish on your chain, you would normal attack to build back up to 100%pp followed by a charged point blank x1, 2-3 Point Blanks and a Onslaught (every single one of these should be modified by the chain trigger finisher).
      So while Bullet Rave produces a bigger hit at the end (660 Potency while everything is backloaded), Performing a charged point blank to finish your chain, allows you to perform an additional 2-3 Point Blanks, all modified by the finisher along with onslaught. In comparison due to the animation lock of Bullet Rave, the most you will be able to get out additionally is potentially an onslaught, but the window is extremely short.
      I'd love to hear your input on this btw since you've definitely been testing this! I've been doing this ever since the server lag has finally gone down, and has allowed me to fully test all the DPS rotations for gunner, which is why I gotta make a pure rotation video next.

    which is the current better 4star weapon for gunner?

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад +1

      SO it comes down to basically if you care about multi-weapons or not. Cattelya TMGs are the better pick over Resurgir TMGs. However if you want fluid gameplay with weapon switching, you'll want to multi weapon a Resurgir. Now if you're planning on playing Ranger at any point, I would heavily recommend to invest in a Resurgir Rifle Multi'd with TMG+Launcher, because Rifle is a mainclass weapon for both Gunner and Ranger. This means you're not losing out on the hidden 10% main class potency buff for both classes.
      Also if you want some craziness for deciding if you should multi weapon. *You can use Wired Lance's weapon action WITHOUT Hunter sub* , This means if you make a resurgir TMG and multi a wired lance on top, you could easily have a gap closer to point blank directly onto weak points!
      Hope that helps answer your question!

      @everydere  3 года назад +1

      @@terranceb6517 So this one is a tricky one to say for now. From my personal experience and looking over how all the classes work. I'd say in a single target scenario, Gunner is definitely a top contender. 120% Attack speed from CB turns Point blank into one of the most obnoxiously strong moves in the game coupled with the safety of Gunner.
      I'd say strongest though overall, I would probably give to FiHu with Double Saber from my testing. I used to theorize it was FiHu Sword due to how strong the counter was. But Double Saber has REALLY shined after being able to sit down with it + not lag like the past couple days.
      So my reasoning for this is because just like Gunner being a complete class with TMG alone, FiHu allows you to use Twin Daggers for vertical movement, Double Sabers for everything else (Single target wise), but because you have Hu as a subclass the only weakness of Fighter is gone by using wired lances for AoE. Also Double Saber has probably the most BS move in the game called Deadly Archer which is unlocked at 2nd Whirlwind Stages, gives complete invuln and a LOT of DPS. It also comes back ridiculously fast + Double Saber has a unique weapon action counter that HITS LIKE A TRUCK.
      So Basically tl;dr: Fighter guide is incoming next week on wednesday (After I finish my weds+Sat uploads since I upload only those two days).

And you'll love this, New Genesis has made the skill cap for all classes pretty much the same so I'd pick the class that you enjoy the most for weapons (Rifle is REALLY fun and in full release tomorrow, we will have launcher on top of that).

      @@zath863 No problem! I hope you really have a good time in New Genesis compared to PSO2! My goal tbh is just to get more people playing the game since I love the series so much.

    what a sub-class?

    • @everydere
      @everydere  3 года назад

      Hi! After progressing through the story at a certain point, you will be able to choose what's called a "subclass" this lets you use all of the class' weapons while you still play gunner! Hope this answers your question!

    not a single word about weapon choices?

      Hi Hi! This was made suuuuuper early in NGS' life (updates will be when Retem drops on all the new balance changes that came alogn as well). The only realistic weapon choice for Gunner is just use TMGs. Chain Boost is not affected by any other weapon, Chain Trigger can't be built up by other weapons as well.
      An option to get Critical Range is to use Wire Lances with TMG, but IMO when the Dec. update drops in about a week, you won't need it. The new class skill added to Gunner confirmed allows you to stay indefinitely in the sky + raises your altitude every hit. Combined with the new Bullet Hail buff and you have 24/7 crit rate uptime and you can spam point blank with full chain boost on a break phase.
      I'm down to answer any questions you have about Gunner if you have any!

    'gunner doesn't work as sub-class'
    what now?
    what about the pp recovery??
    taking in as your reason
    this applies on all class..

      Hi this was actually answered in the follow up since this guide is based on CBT gameplay for the core gameplay of gunner: ruclips.net/video/T25x8e-hZvE/видео.html
      At the release of the full game, it is still true that Gunner does not work as a subclass *IF you want to use TMGs*. Chain Trigger has been completely locked to TMGS along with building/triggering (this was possible in CBT but no longer in full release). With the full release of the game, PP recovery has made Gunner one of the few subclasses you can use for PP regen, BUT you should never slot it for the purposes of using your mainclass weapon + a TMG. Hope that clears it up!

    you keep pronouncing "s" in a funny way, almost like a whistle. What's up with that

      My old microphooooone oh god T_T. So I had a Blues Snowball (the original not the iCE), and it's a condenser mic + I'm a noooob when I started doing voice overs. Since the blues snowball is a condenser microphone it caught "s" sounds so freaking hard LOL and all of my early recordings ended up having the same issue F.
      Eventually my videos started kicking off and I invested in a SM58 + learning better audio editing so it's no where near as bad. But that old blues snowball started it all and I have it on my shelf for the memories.
      TL;DR dynamic microphones are godtier
