Yeah! My daughter and I have great fun reading that outloud! Maybe I'll remember to mention that when I talk about the next issue. Glad to hear from someone else who is reading My Bad!
Thanks for the run down.. Geiger is one of my favorite comics.. Ice Cream man is no fun, but the story is so thought provoking that you still think about it for several days and sometimes weeks.. 🎉🎉
Usagi again! Awesome! No left or right politics in Stan Sakai’s comics. He’s a huge inspiration. I’ve decided that I’m going to draw all of my comics. I’m gonna study anatomy, coloring, etc. I was gonna work with artists, but every artist is insanely political these days! I’m friends with 1600 comic book creators on Facebook. They post great stuff, but they also post non stop political extremism. Oooh Rocketeer! I’ll check that out! Great haul
If you can train yourself on the art side you’ll probably have better comics as a full creator, even if the art isn’t perfect. I only follow a few creators on instagram and the ones I follow don’t express their politics there, luckily.
I sort of like that there isn't a tribute in Peepshow 15 since it allows it to just be part of the series as is. Great "final" issue and though I do wish there was more, I'm still happy that Fanta was able to get this published. The Comics Journal's "Remembering Joe Matt" was a fitting goodbye that is worth reading: www.tcj.com/remembering-joe-matt/
Thanks for the link. You make a good point about not turning it into a tribute issue. But i also think it could be confusing for those less plugged into comic book news.
I have all of the Joe Matt stuff, and most of the Chester Brown and Seth. Once I started reading auto bio, slice of life comics it's about all I wanted to read at one time.
I can understand stand the addictiveness of autobio comics, and yet for me personally they end up feeling like a sidebar to the art form. When i first discovered early issues of American Splendor, though, it seemed like a pretty exciting and radical approach.
Great reviews, as always.hhmmn...Acid Chimp,I love the way your daughter thinks. I agree,Red Coat was still a good read ,a bit stagnant, but we found out about George Washington..he is the head magician of some sort of the Secret society.i just read the new Conan. Very well done
My daughter is very astute. She loves watching Higgypop! I'm sure Redcoat will continue to be great, it just slowed down a bit for this issue. I feel a little bad for focusing on that.
I don't know if you caught the part of our Friday night show where I talked about Ice Cream Man but what tripped me up was the driver of the truck going through the windshield. He had no airbag but the passenger did?!? Plus, from what I've read, the steering wheel often stops the driver from going through the windshield. I have no idea why they didn't switch the roles and then have the passenger go through the windshield.
Where did you get a Fletcher Hanks shirt! I love it! I keep hearing good things about Geiger. I'll have to check out the trade when it releases. Peep show looks interesting. Sad to hear he died. Thanks for sharing what you read. Loved it.
Geiger is a fun fast read, despite its post apocalyptic setting! I believe i bought the Fletcher Hanks shirt from Comic Tropes some years ago. I think it’s still in his Spring shop, if you follow the link from his yt channel.
I read the current issue of Savage Dragon at the shop and thought it was hilarious. Unfortunately due to the move I gave my Savage Dragon collection to a fellow reader who has been a fan of the series since its inception. Of course the apocalypse will happen in Texas. Where else? Today my shop hosted a TMNT #1 pizza party. Spent the afternoon there. Good turnout, the regulars (pretty much like those from the t.v. show Cheers) and new customers. It's a variety of people, talking comics and movies. Tomorrow we are going to see Deadpool/Wolverine. The shop rented a theater for their customers. Customers know I don't like Deadpool, so I've joked that once Taylor Swift appeared, Beth (the co-owner) and I will watch Gray's Anatomy on her iphone.
@@garagegeek4863 Evening, David. My life is quite boring now. Which is fine with me. Reflecting on lost time and spending my remaining years in the company of nice people personally or on youtube is where I'm quite at home.
It's funny, I got bored of Savage Dragon a few years back and now I find it fascinating again...I assume I'll tire of it again somewhere down the line...even though it is willing to go off in some crazy directions.
Thank goodness you have Deadpool to liven up your evening! (To be honest I can't imagine going to any of the Deadpool movies, but maybe I'm missing out!)
Shame about Black Lagoon. I want Universal Monsters to succeed. Savage Dragon should be renamed Satire Dragon? Flying comics. I saw Peep Show in the shop but I didn’t grab it - I already had a large amount.
I wanted the Universal Monsters to continue being good also. Maybe better luck with Frankenstein, which is coming soon. I imagine that in a bit of time Fantagraphics will put out a complete Peep Show collection...at least that would make a lot of sense.
Yeah Alex Jones. Horrible person in recent US history, but i still didn’t find it funny to turn him into an insane superpowered killer in this issue of Savage Dragon. But overall I am still enjoying Savage Dragon.
I really like the parody of the old Marvel bulletin page and Stan Lee's Soapbox that they have in My Bad.

Sometimes, probably most of the time , Ice Cream Man delights me with its inventiveness. But it can go to deep into the darkness, heh.

Just so long as you’re not jeopardizing any income!! Thanks for the compliment!
Nice little haul there. Thanks for sharing Damian. I hope all is well your way. Have a pleasant week! ~Eric
Hi Eric! Thanks. I'm on a vacation to the Redwoods and having a cool time. I hope Summertime is going your way!
@@sleepyreader666 Glad to hear it. It's going pretty good over all. Enjoy!

I missed that part of your show…but yeah great point! That adds to my sense there was something off about this issue.

#AlexJones is the guy that got sued by the plants to discredit him
Yeah, one of the scummiest liars in American history! None of his theories could hold up for a second in a court of law.
