Hey Jess! Long time! How’s it going! It’s such a hassle when it comes to apartment hunting! I’m glad that you’ve once again found your own lovely space! Can’t wait for the next awesome video!
The views from your place are great & the building looks so nice heart 😍 planning on teaching English in Hong Kong, thanks for sharing your experiences
Great video and very spot on about prices and procedure. But I could not walk 15-20 mins to work in the summer because I would literally need a shower (or look like i had one) from all the sweating i would be doing...
I try to take the MTR in the summer. But yes I show up to work all gross and then the air conditioning dries everyything but then I am left shivering... 🥲 #hkproblems
The apartments are so very small. Don't they have building codes to require minimum sizes/features? As for subdivided apartments they would be illegal in many places. Glad their building out in the N.T. since better units there. Yes another vlog on the apartment. Enjoyed thank you.
Yes the governemnt just updated their building codes in 2022 and units now need to be more than 280sqft. Subdivided apartments are illegal in Hong Kong but we have a housing crisis due to the high cost of rental so the governemnt has to turn a blind eye.
@@JessBeyondHorizon The first apartment where your bed would not fit and be able to close the door, what was the square footage? Now it will take another 20 yrs. to enforce the size restrictions. Sad !
Is there anyone here who can tell me what the average cost of living is in HK? for example, I know what kind of apartment I can get for HKD20,000, but how much is the additional fee for, for example, a single person who eats normally, sometimes wants to travel by taxi, take a bus or sometimes spend money on something else. Will it be an additional cost of HKD10,000 or maybe another HKD20,000? Is it really all that expensive?
For 20k you can get a nice new one bedroom or older two bedroom on the island. You should probably budget around 15-20k for expenses. Depends if you eat out and drink and have happy hours etc. Then there's vacationing around Asia etc.
@@JessBeyondHorizon How I got rid of mine. A Chinese herbalist said I had a gluten intolerance. I eliminated a lot of grains, but not all and the condition got better, but lingered. Finally I decided to stop it all (gluten) and a week later it began to clear up. My herbalist was a graduate of a Beijing traditional medicine university. My western allergy doctor never stopped telling me how I had to take steroids all my life. Glad I tried an herbalist and finally listened. I did the whole nine yards of herbalist treatment. brewed the dry herbs in a pot of water for 4 hrs. until reduced. Liked it as it tasted like strong black coffee.
Please need your help . I am coming to hk next 31 October for probationary work period in Sheung shui (New territories). If you can recommend for me any hotel near sheung Shui mtr station to stay in till find flat for rent

@@kiyoshitakeda452 that one was around 350 sqft. If they put the storage room and bedroom together it would have been perfect
How much was the 1 BR apartment in Monti? That one looked so nice and specious
That 1br was for sale and not rent. But I assume it'll be around 16-18k depending on floor.
Could you make a video on subdivided flats as well
That would be cool. I don't have access to sub divided flats anymore 😣
Sofa bed 🙋🏻♀️
It has your name on it 😊

I'm sorry I don't know Sheung shui very well. It is very far from where I am
You talk so fast about interesting things in the beginning and the info you showed is short in the video.😂
I talked about them already in my previous video and I like to keep thing nice and short 😊
Why are you so beautiful?
