- Learn how to edit your podcast video interview efficiently and stylistically so that they will perform well on RUclips.
In this complete tutorial, I take you from start to finish using Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva Pro. BUT, all of the techniques that I teach in this video can be used in any video editing software.
The BIG GAME CHANGER and the reason that I LOVE Adobe Premiere is for the multi-cam feature. This can be a HUGE time saver when you're editing an interview podcast.

I know this video is 2yrs old but I wanted you to know that I am successful at editing videos because of you. I owe you more than I can ever express. You’ve given me a way to support my family and my love of art and design!! Thank you!!!
Wow. Thank you for sharing this with me. It makes my day to know I have contributed to your life somehow. Keep on learning. 🙏🏽
My business partner and I literally just brought all the equipment to start a channel this week. Two Shure MV7 mics, stands, a zoom H6 and I’m using an old Canon 70D from undergrad for video. Your video has helped me out a lot! You’ve earned a new subscriber.
Thanks for the tutorial, it's much faster than any other method I came across.
You’re welcome!! Do you have a video podcast?
Ayyyy Thanks for helping get to know the Software! I just downloaded it in hopes of making resetupes and originals. Props to you for
Thank you SO much for this. I just finished my first edit of a video podcast following your steps - you made it so easy to following along.
I didn't know this video existed! Thanks bro! Really grateful.

I followed the steps but when I did multicam it just blacks everything out and doesn't switch cams
Thank you so much for this video! I followed you up until the multi-cam portion. Whew!! I’m going to give that feature a try in season two of my new podcast. You definitely have a new subscriber!
This is actually really helpful. Awesome job man!
So glad you thought so. What’s your show all about?
Great Video! THX
I really like your knoweledg , tons of ideas . Thank you SO MUCH
You’re very welcome! Are you a Premiere user??
@@podsoundschool No but its inspiring ,and maybe one day I will lol
Great job 👏 1 question please is Canva Pro free please
such an amazing video
WOAH! I wish I could really do that! I will have to practice!
You can totally do it. It will feel really slow at first. Plus in #SPY I slow down quite a bit more and go into more detail.
Thank you the video is super helpful.
The repetitive special effects sounds sorta drove me up a wall and almost had me click off the video. Maybe try lowering the volume of that sound (like the camera click or the glitzy sound) so it’s less jarring or exponentially fading the sound in and out?
I also don’t know why the camera click? Are you trying to encourage someone to take a screenshot to remember? (Which is a good idea- but maybe announce that and potentially change the sound to like the sound that phones use). Just my two cents offered as constructive criticism
Your so detailed ! SUBBED
Awesome!! Thanks!
Very good video ❤️
thank you so match !!!!!!!
Awesome stuff! Just what I needed. Thanks! New subscriber.
Super helpful!! Thank you!

This video is soo good & helpful! 👏🏿 I was always wondering how people edited their videos in this style.
So glad you thought so!!
Any shortcuts to the multi cam thing of having to sit through and change at your leisure? Or does it get easier and quicker the more you get used to it?😄
Good jobe!well done 😍😍
Great info thanks! Would you mind sharing your camera you use and your audio chain? I know I want good camera and a sm7b but from there I’m lost lol. I’m torn between just using my iPhone 13 for a camera for now or buying a camera. Sony zv1 a good choice?
best luck!
Love it great info 👏🏾
If your GMS softs all weird and distorted, click on it, see on the left hand side of the GMS master module it will say "appes" click on the
Can you do the same in Davinci Resolve ???
A month too late😅😅 I was looking for a solution for this since all my interviews are on Zoom... but this one was way better of course
Hello!! love the videos there super helpful but, don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I'm gonna! I've recently started podcasting and I'm doing my best to try to learn! My question is. Is there anywhere I can go to learn this stuff in person? Does college have classes that could help me? I'm a hands on learner and looking to get over this learning curve FASTER! I'm sure ill figure something out I always do! tell then my first many episodes will sound like butt haha!!
That’s a great question. And the answer is no, right now, however with the growth of podcasting, I wouldn’t be surprised if you see podcasting classes start to pop up in local colleges. For this reason we have built different courses to help people get started podcasting, to teach how to professionally edit a podcast, etc. Our editing course Reaper 4 Podcasters is popular as well as our signature course Smart & Sexy Podcast Launch. I’ll leave the links in another reply.
Reaper 4 Podcasters:

And Smart & Sexy Podcast Launch

There are free webinars we offer that introduce you to our teaching style for each of the courses too.

@@podsoundschool Thank you so much for you feedback!! I'm gonna take a look at these for sure! 😀
Do you ever process the audio tracks? If you do, wondering how you do it, do you process and the replace the audio tracks or do you export to Au and round trip it back?
Hey, those are just basic clips. I'm trying to put nested sequences behind a green screen but I think I'm doing it wrong. Is possible at all? I mean, I have an interview with two subjects and a crap ton of cuts + external sound. How do I put all this in a neat little box of yours?
I really thought I was the only one. Like I was buggin'.
How do I do this on Da Vinci Resolve pleeease
סרטון חשוב
I tried this but the audio and video are not synced.. any idea why? and how can I fix it?
Would love to see the finished clip. Is there a link to it?
Yes there is. Geez 🙄 I ought to have made it more visible. ruclips.net/video/Lny2fsJmTTQ/видео.html
Does it work with iphone 7??
Is there any easier way to add a background to a podcast interview video? Maybe a program or app that allows you to do it in one or two easy steps?
I’m sure you can use some hot keys to speed up the process
Is it possible to do something similar with Canva pro and I movie instead? That would be fantastic
Yeah! You could totally do that. With iMovie you have to get creative and sometimes make a few exports and imports to make things happen, but you can totally do it. Filmora is also a great option and it’s only a one time $60
5:27 thanks
How much should I charge for a service like this? Someone is trying to hire me as an editor. I live in California
danke mi man
Hi, I tried to remove the green screen but didn't work for me, can someone help me?
Bro thats what I said haha im back right now sober lol
Great video! I see in another comment that this podcast video was recorded using riverside.fm. Do you know if it is possible to have 2 separate video files from a Zoom recording?
Hi. I know it’s easy to record seperate audio tracks on zoom, but the video is tricky. I think it can be done, but you have to ask your guest to record locally on their zoom.
@@podsoundschool I see what you mean. I'll suggest that idea to my client if they want to change their podcast video format. Thanks for the help! 😀
Are those 2 separate videos, that both ladies filmed or was it done on zoom?
It was done on riverside.fm, which is like zoom, but gets higher quality video.
It's true
Why not just use a transparent PNG image?
don't give up!, there are more difficult programs then tNice tutorials one
anyone done the same video for FCP?
hahah too sNice tutorialt

In this video we use Riverside which does all the complex work for you.
Such a great video, thank you :) :)!
You bet. Have you been using video with your podcast?
