    Hans makes the chess world exciting, and his chess is very unique. He may be a self admitted cheater, he might be crass, he might be a genius too.
    What I do know is he is 19th place in the world, and he annihilated Anish Giri, Wesley so, and MVL. Well the mvl match was close, but whatever.
    Love him or hate him, you can't deny that his "Hans vs the world" tour is BRILLIANT.
    He is not only clearing his name, but he is getting a massive amount of rating points without having to play in fancy tournaments, and he is getting paid big bucks.
    People wrongly accusing him has added a layer to his mental toughness, and has really sparked a passion in his game.

    • @Toopa88
      @Toopa88 20 дней назад +1

      Hans added a lot of traffic to chess. His persona and banter created a situation you'd see in WWE and alike. People root for or against him, and the general chess audience is extremely invested in how his story unfolds. Any match where he plays, especially against Magnus or Hikaru, easily gets like double the views (at least, that's my impression). While Hans often behaves like a prick, I think he's good for the chess nonetheless, at least from the viewer's perspective.

      It's not a few checks; I mean, you're not going to just go check check check until the king has reached safety. You're instead going to make useful moves with the ability to reposition your heavy pieces with tempo. The point is the long term vulnerability of the Black king. The ability to move your queen with tempo with a pawn that close to queening is worth more than a rook. Course all this has to be backed up with calculation, but to me it looks like a good practical try.

    I have no opinion on who might be cheating but let's forget that and ask ourselves how one might cheat in Super GM events nowadays? I would implant a microcomputer in my scalp, and then grow my hair longer or bushy. The comp would be turned off during electronic searches so - obviously no electronic signal to pick up. Bear in mind that a microcomputer can be as small as a cubic millimeter ...so.
    Now, what about input and output during a game? First of all - I would not need to know the moves - just a short vibration - similar to an evaluation bar. The greater the evaluation from the last move the stronger the vibration. So - for example, as a Super GM - if I know that my opponent's last move was a blunder, I know that now is the time to carefully check the board until I find the blunder or find the move that the comp saw to justify the large evaluation spike.
    BUT ... how would the computer know the position on my board? By piggybacking off of the DGT frequency that the nearest smartboard to me is generating to transmit the display of the game to the audience. And the nearest board to me is - obviously my board so ... there you go. That's how I would do it if I were a Super GM and wanted to cheat. : )

    If Magnus dies on his own hill blabbering about how Hans somehow cheated it will be a shame for him. 20 years of being a well known GM and being a GOAT of chess gonna crumble to dust just because he was a sore loser.

    Brilliant game by Hans, wow! For all the times that agadmator says "... as there was nothing more to be done here," (which is quite often), how often does he continue to say, "...or (you know) so it seems"? I can't remember the last time in one of his videos when the resignation may have been perhaps slightly premature.

    • @JaSoNZ16
      @JaSoNZ16 20 дней назад +1

      There was more to be desired. I was watching live and was surprised by the resignation going off the eval bar.
      As he said though, Bacrot must have been truly disgusted. The position needed a lot of only moves from him, to try to make sure the Rook never gets into the game, because as soon as it does he is toast.

    Hans a player of which moves speak for themselves (as he doesn’t know how to explain the reason behind them). I don’t know why a player like this is promoted when he doesn’t do nothing good to chess. How can the guys play him when all the tournaments invite a man who doesn’t know the reason for his moves and nobody seems to be disturbed by this. You can play a cheater the same as with a consacrate player? I think no
