@ cool I want them to give us a good ATC and Working ILS approaches on some airfields that should by now have them. Or be in h something like BEYOND ATC really cool program for MSFS.
Learning how to even take off in DCS is an admirable amount of dedication for a video game, but DAMNED if the views don't make it all completely worth it.
I am pleased to hear DCS isn't just like any "Arcade Game" easy to operate. It's good DCS makes players use some effort to enjoy...........a little bit like real aviating !!!!!
Amazing video. Just a tiny detail. When you takeoff from 3 or 4, you allways must to turn left, not right. Thats a simply rule to avoid air crashes after takeoff.
I kinda'f find it amusing, especially in today's context, that this game was made by russians in russia. Well, it was at least , until they moved to Switzerland .
Well, just as you'll find plenty of American Flanker and Fulcrum enthusiasts, I'm sure there are plenty of Russians equally enthusiastic about Hornets and Falcons. The Eagle Dynamics team are likely a part of that group.
Yes, I encountered this problem aswell in the past, but the timing just happened to work out for this video. But you can use the old weather model from DCS in order to get a solid and unbroken cloud layer and therefore constant rain.
Awesome views! Really cool video, the only thing that might make it better is to have captions (not hardcoded though) explaining what's going on :) would be really interesting for an enthusiastic noob such as myself. I usually get my info from the Growler Jams and Alex Bowman channels but DCS would be handy as well :p
6:14 i am not sure wether the airbrake is deployed before touchdown. who ever was a passenger in a commercial aircraft, has noticed it's only active after touching the ground
The airbrake was deployed in this case, since you aren‘t allowed to exceed certain speeds in the pattern and I was descending at the same time, requiring me to decelerate through airbrakes.
@@BingoFuel07 F14B can takeoff from carrier without afterburner. F14A needs the afterburner. And your Hornet depends of the weather and the configuration of the jet. Empty payloads and good weather and he can takeoff without afterburners.
My PC specs are in the video description. It's more than sufficient for gaming, however sometimes for encoding the video while recording higher graphics stuff, it is just enough.
Super sample! Reduce AA as much us possible. I don't know what methods DCS offers but you typically wanna stay away from AA in VR. TAA tends to look the best overall as it smooths out the image but you sometimes lose a substantial amount of clarity. But if there is a sharpness slider, you're in luck!
You are somewhat correct. I did not follow correct case 3 departure procedures, however it is different from case 1 departures. You can see the correct procedure here: forum.dcs.world/topic/235915-the-image-of-case-iii-departure-in-sc-manual-is-wrong/ (Please ignore the discussion around the procedure in the forum link I attached, I‘m only reffering to the depiction 😁)
Hey, I find the depth of field setting to add the most to my shots. I use the „Bokeh“ setting and it looks great! As for the views themselves, just experiment and find out what you like. You can experiment with the different cameras in the F1-10 keys (I might upload a list of those soon, but there are plenty online).
That is the home fuel warning, and it sounds, when the plane calculates that you won‘t make it back with the current fuel usage. (Note that the warning comes on when I use much throttle and at the same time the plane doesn‘t move much, therefore it warns the pilot) Hope this helps :)
Yes, there are many implementations of hand controllers/tracking software in VR. Please note although, that I do not play with VR, therefore no hand tracking required. I use TrackIR, which turns the camera according to my head movements.
Can you share your settings? I'm running a i9-14900k, 128ddr5 , 4070ti and my graphics don't look this nice...don't get me wrong, it looks great but are you using mods? or this is quality from post production? thx *edit: maybe mine doesn't look this nice because I'm playing on a 75inch 4k tv? Would it look better if I were playing on a monitor?
Graphics wise, I don't use any mods. You can find my settings (for free) on my patreon, I posted them there. I think your specs sound way more than sufficient for DCS but everyone has to find their own balance between graphics and performance. The TV shouldn't be a problem but you can try out your monitor too. Hit me up if it helped!

The supercarrier comes with deck personnel which you can interact with. Also, the detail that makes the camera angles so cool is the depth of field setting 😉.
For the procedure with the deck crew, I recommend you watch a tutorial, there are plenty of comprehensive videos out there. The depth of field just simulates the focus of the camera. You can find it in the system setting in the game.
Every damn time I play DCS the ground crew on the super carrier just amazes me how far we have come in graphics and simulators.
Couldn’t agree more .🫡💪🏾👌🏾
It is super amazing… and keeps getting better
No reflections in this vid
Just wait. This next patch we are apparently getting plane directors on the deck.

Sure, first steps may appear frustrating, but as soon as you start to see progress, it all becomes worth it 😁.

Admirable amount of dedication? It's not hard at all.

Airboss would like a word about that 1 Wire...
Amen
and the untrimmed start
I adore the external and flyby shots. Not enough creators give us those perspectives, and it sucks because they're my favorite way to watch.
Looks cool, but 3 years on a carrier and I don't ever remember flight ops in the rain. We usually just steered around them for flight ops.
With a 3080 are you having to use DLSS to be able to record and keep the frame rate?
Yes, I use the balanced preset. Otherwise, without DLSS the framerate drops massively when recording.
It looks so real, and I love it.❤

As an ABH on the flight deck, everything here is 100% accurate
almost, no edge deck operator to operate the cats, as soon as the shooter points it launches you immediately.
@@tj_mcdonald21 typically there's a 5 second delay when it comes to launching, timing isn't right all the time
Looks great! How do you get it to constantly rain? On the heaviest rain settings it only gives me rain on and off. Did you experience this too?
Yes, I encountered this problem aswell in the past, but the timing just happened to work out for this video. But you can use the old weather model from DCS in order to get a solid and unbroken cloud layer and therefore constant rain.
Holy! Look at those graphics....
Great beautiful video. Thanks BingoFuel.

Impressive approach and landing!
Missed opportunity to make it a Kenny Loggins take off!!!
It's realistic and it's like what it is, so I give it credit for that. It's realistic
This looks so sick, awesome editing too! Gained a sub!
Looks wet out!❤
When I watch this video I tried to move my head to center the cockpit view during the landing approach, I guess I played too much DCS
Always way too focused to worry about camera positioning 😂
Wow… the shooter even does the safety checks… COOL!
do you use trackir? if so do you need 3 monitors to look around properly?
Yes, I use TrackIR and it works perfectly fine with one monitor. Just ensure that your sensitivity is high enough.
Thank you man it's all american
No clearing turn after launch?
I forgot. Great airmanship!

In my understanding, always afterburner.

do you have a special mod or feature for the sounds...? it sounds amazing
Yes, I use the Echo 19 sound mod, it‘s completely free and sound so amazing! Check them out here: echo19audio.gumroad.com/
is there anything like flight recorder for fsx available for dcs?
if i only was 35 years younger...
No, unfortunately not. The standard replay tool is a pain to use but you have to deal with it atm.

No, that should come standard

Is that „out of the box“ or modded?
Neither, I created this mission myself and it is vanilla DCS. Hope this answers your question.

The ejection seat unarmed alarm :D
I'm guilty.

the only thing this game missing is. " random radio chatter between ATC and pilots:" .. that would make this game really realistic.
In general, I would love some more realistic ATC for airfield operations.
