As both an FF sports car enthusiast and a touge racer, I throughly enjoyed hearing this guy’s stories. It was awesome to hear from a long time touge racer with lots of experience. And for some reason the words
“Touge will never die…” really hit me. Keep up the good work.
Watching this on tantalus rn hahahahaha
I remembered him Mr. Arai saved my ass once at tantalus back in early 2000 when I was 17, 18 years old driving my 1st car, AE86 SR5, up there practicing drifting in the rain one night and met Kyle with his EF civic and his friend with a 2000 civic rental car at the dark side. He saw me drifting around and spinning out and he asked me to tag along with them we went up and down for a few turns then I understeered and skid off the road ended in a ditch and couldn’t back the car out. Mr. Arai was so nice enough went all the home and bought back a rope and pulled me out of the ditch at 3am in the morning. That’s when my friends them came after trying to save me but I was already got pulled out by Kyle then we all ended up parking our cars at the corner and watch Kyle and his friend do their things! He was so good already back then drifting FF car coz i can tell by his speed going thru turns.
Brah! That’s was good old times man…..back then, we can play up there all night long without being tag by police or bother by other people….hardly any cars comes up and down at tantalus after 12am. I used drive up there all night till the sun comes up lol.
Anyways, Kyle if u r reading this? I wanna say thank you again for helping me bro! I’m 39 now, I don’t drive like I used to or drive a RWD car anymore but I still go up tantalus once a while and trying to learn drifting a FF car. Mahalo!
That sounds like some fun days you had !!!!!!!
Legend of a story !
@@JB-sv5pr those were the days bro. Back then those bratha driving old Toyota pickup and Nissan hardbody drifting the dark side all night long bro. Even cops don’t catch us for drifting bro, just telling us to slow down and let us go coz all they do were chilling and killing time up there. Missed those days man…
He has taught me so much over the years
Great video. He really had some huge points. Touge will never die. We just get more and more mature and think about others instead of just driving mindless.
It’s funny how touge is just a natural occurrence across the world. People dont even find out about the term or idea of “touge,” they just start driving on mountain roads.
I took Kyle drifting when he was in highschool. I was drifting back in 94' I remember pulling his brother Bane out of the damn bushes. I was one of the first people to take him drifting. Man such a long time ago.
As a budding driver who grew a knack for FF, I find this dude pretty inspiring
Got that same need for speed here
Drifting is crashing sounds right, even just driving on a track means crashing, sooner or later there will be an oil spill. But I don't like the discouragement, I hope it can be done on a track with some luck.
Hawaii’s legend in the flesh
Amazing video, thank you for this.
if your og enough to remember this guy big ups
love the videos keep it up
I'm bouta start hitting that place up while I'm here
I love civics! Great story sad there is no track to have fun!
Ef 4 door is so light that thing sounded sick !
Your content absolutely slaps. Thankyou :)
I need to know more about his civics setup. That’s insane for an ff
let me know what info u want
Commenting here just so when Kyle comments again I'll get notified.
Hello guy how can I help willing to share my knowledge

@@kylearai793 No problem bro you did nothing wrong.
What did you change in the car, in the suspension, etc? And what was the reason for the change? What tires?
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

You can do some social media research, or camp out your local mountain pass on busy nights the old-fashioned way
