Harder wouldn’t have translated to faster in this case. There was a lot of brake fade, harder would have just faded faster. Also the driver had issues with following the Toyota…not because they were fast, but because they kept FOLLOWING them. The Toyota was an absolute slob, their lines were awful and inputs were very reactive. Best case scenario, Ridge Racer here would have been stuck behind the Toyota lol
I think he made a little mistake (beside coming in too hot), when it started to understeer he added more steering angle but you should not turn the wheels more when there is not enough grip at given angle.
Only problem was the dc2 driver could’ve braked lil later than he was doing and he kept falling out of the vtec band. But at the end of the day no race is worth dying overs.
Go out to a mountain road in your area that you find fun to drive without a lot of houses nearby (a few spaced out doesn’t matter) and just start learning the road, by the time you’ve done 20 runs you should understand it quite well and then begin to apply racing theory to each time to you drive out there.
go kart is the safest, thats why all f1 champions were also go kart champion, you learn all the physics there and get used to the feedback the car gives you
I think the white car had a better safer line and was reserve with its pushing. Also believe white car regulated speed of the camera driver with a bad line. Those tires saved your life. If the white car was behind and pushing the camera car would of gone off the cliff
@@ethanwasme4307what? The gt86 had great lines. What are you talking about headlights? You do know there are spotters right? None is that stupid to do a touge battle with no spotters
Wish I could find more people down for this in Vancouver wa area. It’s currently just me and a few buddies on Larch mountain and Washougal river road but I never see others out there really trynna have fun
Oh dude, there are so many great touge roads near you. Wind River Rd north of Carson WA is the best touge I've ever driven. 3rd gear in a Miata, 2nd is basically everything else. Flawless pavement, good sight lines. Also in that area, the run from Klickitat to Glenwood is incredible, especially at night. Has this California canyon vibes. Oregon highways 53 and 47 out on the Coast range are also tremendous. Awesome cambered esses. Also highway 34 a little further south. It's a bit further from you, but Oregon highway 242 in the Cascades is Full Japan status with 1st-gear hairpins and literally runs through a lava field. The Cascades and Coast Range are a touge paradise and no one is talking about it. Everyone is focused on Cali.
@lguazuu I'm not super familiar farther North. I know highway 7 between Spanaway and Elbe is popular with the Seattle people. Highway 131 between Randle and Northwoods WOULD be absolutely biblical if they fixed all the sinkholes. It ties into Wind River Road as well. But it's currently near-undriveable in a sports car. Great fun in a truck, though.
this was on 1x speed? i had to check, lol, looks fucking insane, but something i would love to try if had the kind of car, enjoy doing a bit within the limits of my car which i rlly love, great to learn in because of the smaller tolerance but risky of course so take it easier, anyway, where in the world is this somewhere in usa, wish to see it live in japan one day, great driving, awesome road, but who the f was the first driver, he just dissapeared after the first 30 sec ha-although i did love the line of the fr-s which was very well controlled also, wondering are there no cars on this road after a certain time since there seems like no space at all on the opposite road bank!
Beginner here, not expecting an answer from anyone here but just wondering but do you think its a setup issue or a driver issue with the way it understeers into corners, in other words do you think a slightly more oversteery setup would help? Or if not do you think a different driver, perhaps a faster driver would benefit from a more oversteery setup (more front grip)? Would also be neat to someday get throttle, brake, clutch and steering inputs since I feel like aside from setup advantages good trail braking is usually what separates the quick drivers from the really quick drivers
White I'm unsure of the one in the video, I run diode design foglights and they're really great for the rouge. They make foglights for a lot of cars, and if you mount them good they look OEM.
I bet the teggy could’ve been pushed a hell of a lot harder but at the end of the day no run is worth dying over
It's all about fun and coming home safe. If taken too seriously, it may not be the right sport for that person...
So could that 86... that guy was on the brakes alot. Its all about how comfortable you are

forreal what a touge with 180 degree turns all the way through, could hear those tyres screeching nonstop wonder speed

Dont die.
I’ve owned DC2 Integra Type R 97 and currently own 2012 GT86 both incredible cars
Are we not gunna talk about homie in the front that vanish into the fujiwara zone?!
GT86 seems faster out of the corners and on the straights, but its always easier from behind to see where the car in front is going.
This kid is ripping! Great driving
good video! how did you mount your camera to the car? is it an action camera or a dslr?
I felt every bit off that braking at the 3:34 (3:17 ⏱️) mark 😅.
this camera is amazing in low light

MIata

Step 1: Pick a road or a track and drive it regularly.
Be safe. Have fun.
