To everyone discussing why this song is played faster, while it very well may be drugs, and its always fun to speculate about stuff like that. In reality it probably had to do with the fact that this was being broadcast on Television and they were under constraints due to scheduling and had to simultaneously make their setlist shorter, while including all the songs so the fans got to hear all the songs they had come to hear. This led to them having to up the BPM of the song, making it almost a full minute shorter.
I know what happened now, Dave had to pee really bad so he sped the song up to insane levels. Watch the end, he runs off the stage like it. haha.
Kirk Hammet started watching this video and got lost in the eye of the tornado.
This video was as fast as the normal song sped up 25%. The solo is nearly impossible at regular speed! haha

This version is actually 43 seconds shorter due to their speed.
