Great video, I’ve replaced my regulator a few months ago and the glass itself keeps coming out of the clamps attached to the regulator. I’ve tried cranking down on the bolts, even putting lock tight in them. It’s Keri’s coming out of the clamps. A lot idea why and/or how to resolve this issue?
Is the window going up and down freely or hanging up, are the bolts tightening up good or are they stripped out a little? Really would be hard for me to say what to do without seeing the vehicle and what is actually going on.
@@lakesautomotivediagnostics6509 yes, it went up and down just fine, the bolts are as tight as could get them without stripping them out. This morning, I added some extra material to the clamp to see if it would provide a larger frictionless surface to its grip, then tightened them down. We’ll see if that holds. I’ve done this 3-4 times since I replace the regulator.
I just recently replaced the same front passenger regulator on my 2012 Navigator. I've replaced a lot of regulators and motors in various vehicles over the years and found this regulator module the simplest to install.
If so. I had a question it's cause I locked my keys inside and I used a slim Jim on the driver door. But now my radio won't turn off when I open the door neither the lights won't turn on. It's only in the driver side because I open the passenger side and it works it turns off the radio and the lights turn on. Did I mess up some wires with the slim Jim?
I would say you definitely messed something up in there I would assume when you pull apart it will be pretty noticeable, do you have a door ajar light on now?
When I did my 2012 Navigator I was very pleased to see a bunch of screws as the main attachments for the door panels. Many other manufacturers use custom plastic grommets and plastic clips which are almost impossible to remove and reinstall without breaking them. The dealers (only source) charge a fortune for those little plastic clips.

Is this the same on a 2007?
I would assume so, but not 100%
That’s a lot of screws for a panel in my opinion. Good video tho 👍🏼
Thanks Chris
