What an absolutely lovely gentleman! I love how he asked his family if he should include certain things in his autobiography and they agreed that he should. Yes, indeed! There are too many completely whitewashed autobiographies out there. It's the authentic, honest, and open ones that people want to read.
Thanks for the great Interview, personally it would be interesting to hear something about Tora Tora Tora and The Boot which are also great Songs from Rob Bolland.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the interview. And for sure he did a lot of great tracks, but for my channel I always focus on big classics / hits. There’s one more interview I did with Rob that will be posted still; the story behind the Samantha Fox classic “Love House”.
Fantastic song, didn't hear it for couple of years, today after watching your video I did of course. Now the funny thing is that I never understood the lyrics, I didn't speak German, but I'm now living in Austria & today was the first time I could actually understand what the song is about. Funny that you lnow and like a song for nearly 40 years but you dont even understand the lyrics 😊
Jeanny would probably have been more controversial in current times. Still my favo all time of Falco with Der Kommmisar as a secound because of the catchy "Dreh dich nicht um, oh oh" and the iconic 80s sound.
Dank, heel erg interessant allemaal.
Groeten, Twan
Would it be possible to make an interview with Praga Khan to ask questions about his rave classics? By the way, I can relate to your choice of artists. In my teens I grew up listening to electro pop, then classic rave and techno, then Euro house, then trance and now days progressive trance and house.
Glad you enjoyed the interview! And since my channel is about music, there’s obviously music in the background of the interviews I’m doing as well. I always make sure the volume of the background music is a lot softer compared to the voices.
I just discovered that when Rob's Falco musical opens, there will be two different Falco musicals going on at the same time. There is another one that's been going on for years, apparently.
@@muzikxpress Looked at the website and it appears to only play in cities throughout Germany. I would definitely be much more interested in Rob's since he was actually part of the Falco story and music.
Does anyone know if, Johann Hans Holzel (falco) is at rest with the other 2 ? Being the only survivor of triplets. To bad he sold his sole to the devil😑 sad.....
I've seen footage of his grave online and I did only see Falco's name being mentioned on the grave. Plus in 1957 I don't think it was a common thing yet in Austria (and other countries) to bury stillborn babies. So I doubt it.
Thx Twan!! But, as a polyglot (german, english and dutch) its really hard to understand Rob! :-( maybe next time keep it in his language - and subtitle it :S
Unfortunately it takes a lot of time to translate and add subtitles. It is very time consuming to do that and I simply don’t have that time. It is difficult enough already for me to find the time to do all these interviews tbh. Muzikxpress is “just” a hobby for me and I do everything myself in my (limited) spare time, sorry!
@@muzikxpress absolutely, it's my favorite song of his, it's so ahead of its time and it's just perfect for Falco. The way he's saying it and imitating the way Falco''s talking is just perfect and spot on, hilarious, just the way he would have said that. :D
What is your all-time favorite track by Falco?
1. Jeanny
2. Out Of The Dark
3. Der Kommissar
Zuviel Hitze, Ganz Wien, Einzelhaft, Amerika, Nur Mit Dir, Egoist, Verdammt Wir Leben Noch. I can't keep it to one, and there are plenty more.
If I really had to pick one: Der Kommissar. But, his whole discography is interesting! Falco sadly died way too young.
Mutter, Der Mann Mit Dem Koks Ist Da :)
There is a message in that song "live is not what in seems", inspiration comes from both sides
I always found strange that Falco was one-man band. But now I get it, thanks to Rob he became famous.
Can’t wait for his biography 📚
Same! Would love to read that one!
Still, an amazing song. Very controversial as well at the time, I understand, but still a big hit.

I want to hear the playback! Lovely interview :)
Falco was mentioned and played in the show Dark on Netflix and then they played him in stranger things
strange this video doesn't have many views but people will find it eventually
Well I only posted it last evening hehe
Thanks Twan!!!
