Hello Guys, after some time! Thank you so much, that you still published it (only the birthday does not fit for today). Also thanks, that you put the translation in. It was great and I hope that several will have a look at it. Thanks and have a nice weekend Suzy and Travis. ❤️

Sorry for being so late to this reaction but Falco, an Austrian singer was huge in the late 80's early 90's made this song as a way of describing his inner termoil, if you follow his songs from early to the later stuff you will notice that his material got darker and darker, he started to worry about his mental state, which led to his fatal accident, he rode his motorbike as fast as it would go and crashed into a car instantly killing him. His death was a huge loss to music as if you look back through his songs he was a music genius. Loved your reactions to a great performance by a Legend.
Falco is a legend for me. more cocaine than human but an absolute genius. also this one was very controversial back in the 80s cause the song is about an abused girl that lived the life on the streets and was brutally sexually abused and killed.

You really need to understand the lyrics here. There are some English lyrics/subtitled versions out there. This is a masterpiece of audio and video art. It maintains one of my favorite songs for all my life and I remember it all my life long, because I am only slightly older as it. They part where he shouts: "niemand wird dich finden, du bist bei mir" (nobody's gonna find you, you are with me) kills me everytime. Falco was such a great musician but a complicated character. He still remains an Austrian Icon and will never be forgotten. Which he also once sang: "Muss ich denn sterben, um zu leben? - Do I need to die, to live?
@The Wolf HunterZ Falco's best known song here is probably hands down "Rock Me Amadeus". It was top of the charts for a good while when it broke out of Austria onto a world stage. And it spawned multiple club mixes and a longer "salieri" mix. If he'd been handled better when he came to America to perform, I think he'd have been a household name in music. A good piece I'd highly Recommend is "The Sound of Music". It's not Rogers and Hammerstein. If you don't react to it, I'd recommend it highly personally if you like this. The guy is legend in Europe. When alive he was a Paul McCartney style hamm but had an Elvis sized fear that he was a fake. Very interesting character and an amazing music catalogue. He wrote the oritinal version of "Der Kommisar" which charted over here sang by After the Fire. Cheers!!!
This song was banned from all TV stations and radio stations in Germany. But we teenagers listened to it on pirate radio stations. Same with Michael Jackson`s "Thriller" and Jane Birkin's and Serge Gainsbourg's "Je t'aime ... moi non plus". 😁
Passion in his voice. Yes, it just seems quite melodic to someone who doesn't understand, what this song is all about. And believe me, in this context Passion is here quite the wrong term. Beste Grüße aus good old Germany
The three titles Jeanny (1985; referred to as Jeanny (Part 1) from 1986), Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2, ein Jahr danach) and Bar Minor 7/11 (Jeanny Dry ) (1990). The Where Are You Now? versions were published posthumously without Falco's approval. (Jeanny Part III) (2000) and The Spirit Never Dies (Jeanny Final) (2009)
In one shot you can see the singer walking with the back to us having a F written on his coat. Tha right there is a reference to the German classic movie "M". One of the very first non-Silent-Movies in that time. It is about a predator who kidnaps and kills young girls. A beggar witnessed an abduction and paintd an M on that mans coat so he will be captured and brought to trial.
"Jetzt hör' ich sie, sie kommen Sie kommen dich zu holen Sie werden dich nicht finden Niemand wird dich finden, du bist bei mir" I'm hearing them, they are coming They are coming to get you They won't find you Nobody will find you, you are with me"
Just to mention as these two brothers do not get enough credit (IMHO). The songs "Rock Me Amadeus" and "Jeanny" were composed and produced by Dutch duo Rob en Ferdi Bolland (Bolland & Bolland).
When Jeanny was released as a single, allegations arose that the title downplayed or glorified rape, although the lyrics did not explicitly mention violence. However, the point of view that a rapist might have towards his victim is shown. The way in which the text is presented also leads to the conclusion that it is about a stalker who kidnaps his victim for the love he has spurned and kills him in his madness. The Newsflash part of the song, spoken by the then Tagesschau news announcer Wilhelm Wieben, reports on a "dramatic increase in the number of missing people" and "another tragic case" of a 19-year-old girl who has been missing for 14 days, in which the police have the possibility of a crime cannot be ruled out. [...] The song plays, especially in connection with the video, with different scenarios of a love relationship and leaves the listener or viewer to judge. While the video initially depicts the girl Jeanny as being harassed and persecuted, the story later takes a turn. Falco is identified as the murderer when the supposedly dead Jeanny is just emerging from a restaurant. In the final scene, in which Falco is incarcerated in a psychiatric facility in a straitjacket, Jeanny dances around him and taunts him. "Jeanny is alive, that's clear from the text and the video. Part II of Jeanny will prove in the fall that the man is the real victim. It's not for nothing that he ends up in the loony bin, completely beaten up by Jeanny, but more will not be revealed." - Falco opposite the youth magazine Bravo (1986)
it was better if the one who proposed this song at least told them about the topic (and most commenters here dont get of course that they didnt get it).

This is a good song, but Falco's got a lot better in his (sadly, small) repertoire. Der Kommissar, Rock Me Amadeus, and Vienna Calling are insanely good.
Would be a 100% more entertaining with subtitles. The lyrics, apart from the english part, tell a very disturbing but also ambigious or rather authentic story. The young girl, maybe naive but also sexually curious, the rapist/serial killer with his obsessiveness, his narcisssism. I mean , yeah it's catchy and dramatic musically, but it's very "true", almost poetic in it's delivery, in german. I think that is lost if you just watch it like that. Its very layered focourse little details etc. It's more or less referencing the 1931 movie "M eine stadt jagd einen Mörder" (M a city hunts a murderer) by Fritz Lang. Which itself is a refernence to Bertolt Brechts Dreigroschenoper, and the sond Mack the Knife or in german Die Moritat von Mackie Messer. A Song by Kurt Weill. For example that while the video is obviously 80s, Falcos character is wearing 1920-30s clothes and has the F for Falco on his coat, as does M in the afformentioned movie. And all of these are fundamentally inspired by Jack the Ripper ofcourse
if this is the standard of your reaction video,s , then stop now , you dont get the core of this song , you just choose to wiglle on it , bottom line is the line about the dogs "" they walking the dogs or they ware walking them"" really ? you see that detail instead of the story ? the look on the girl face tells me she noticed something but thats all , i hope other video,s of you guys are way better then this
2:58 Do you know about the content of the song? Did you red a translation of the songtext? There´se nothing funnny in the song - its about violence and rape of women! The song was banned by different radio stations here in germany. 4:32 They are not walking the dogs - this are K9/man trailer.
That is the same false conclusion as these who came out in die eighties and led to a ban of this sing in some radio stations. It is not about rape. Falco himself said, it is clear from the vid that she is well alive. In fact the man is the victim in this song.
@@mor4725 Apparently you are too lazy to look it up by yourself, even if it would be easy to find. I can't support your laziness. Damage control of what? There are three parts of this song and in all Jeanny is well alive. In the video you see at the end, that she looks very happy. There is no indication of rape. That is only in happened in your fantasies. In the worst case there could be some hints of stalking in the song.
@@tomate3391 If it is so easy to find then post the source, do not dodge, it only makes your case weak. The other "parts" of this song are on other albums that were released after this song, so damage control still holds up. I also did not mention rape in my reaction to you, seems you want to force that though on others yourself. And really, some hints of stalking? Stalkers do not end up in an institution wearing a straightjacket.
Wie es einfach keinen Sinn macht wenn Amerikaner Deutsche Songs Bewerten wollen, man sieht schon am "wippen und nicken" und an der Mimik das sie überhaupt nicht kapieren worum es geht.

Haha Margot wasn't born yet hahaha
Oesterreicher singing in austrian german.
Jack Unterweger history
reacto to falco - out of the dark please
Falco was Austrian like me,and He was a really outstanding Person ,love him
but in the end the cocaine killed him
Jeanny is so creepy
The Song is not funny at all
if this is the standard of your reaction video,s , then stop now , you dont get the core of this song , you just choose to wiglle on it , bottom line is the line about the dogs "" they walking the dogs or they ware walking them"" really ? you see that detail instead of the story ? the look on the girl face tells me she noticed something but thats all , i hope other video,s of you guys are way better then this
2:58 Do you know about the content of the song? Did you red a translation of the songtext?
There´se nothing funnny in the song - its about violence and rape of women!
The song was banned by different radio stations here in germany.
4:32 They are not walking the dogs - this are K9/man trailer.
That is the same false conclusion as these who came out in die eighties and led to a ban of this sing in some radio stations. It is not about rape. Falco himself said, it is clear from the vid that she is well alive. In fact the man is the victim in this song.
Die Übersetzung haben sie von mir bekommen, mit allem was sie wissen müssen und diese Übersetzung haben sie hier auch zugefügt.
@@tomate3391 Falco said... means nothing without a source. And even if he did say it, it probably was damage control.
Stalkers do not end up in an institution wearing a straightjacket.
yeah.... the "original cas of yeanny" is disturbing fellow americans.. its a crime case.. not a "FUN"...
Wie es einfach keinen Sinn macht wenn Amerikaner Deutsche Songs Bewerten wollen, man sieht schon am "wippen und nicken" und an der Mimik das sie überhaupt nicht kapieren worum es geht.
R.I.P Falco ....Johann "Hans" Hölzel 19 February 1957 - 6 February 1998), better known by his stage name Falco, was an Austrian singer and musician
boring...
