Vanilla Thousand Year door , yes , the hardest part is to get to them and if you lose or manage your resources badly , you are screwed TTYD remake however now gives you the option of "retrying" the same battle , which pretty much is "try until you win"
You inspired me to try the pit of 100 trials early when I got the game a month ago, except I completely forgot to gear up which meant Flurry’s gale force CARRIED me, I only lost when I got to bonetail. It’s really funny to see it mentioned now. (I had literally just escaped chapter 2. I hadn’t even brought the emerald star to the door.)
I'm surprised you didn't kill whacka after finishing keelhaul key, because at that point the loading zone from the cave to whacka is much shorter than the loading zone of the camp to whacka
He probably did that more to make a point about the absolute earliest point you can interact with Wacka. It'd be even faster to just blow him up with Bobbery since that "kills" him instantly, though you don't get any bumps. Doesn't save you from having to finish chapter 5 anyway.
I love ❤ the ranking of the difficulty and layout with the bosses as well as any post chapter 6 if that's the earliest you can fight Whaka or pre chapter 6. I love that add I didn't know about to ever have played the remake before that you can mover coins to floor 50 and only have to do half the pit after beating it for the first time. Just wow 😮
The best way to finish the pit, is to lower your max hp to 5 by talking to Chet Rippo and wearing lots of power rushes, which cost 100 piantas each in the pianta parlor.
The easiest strat I found was Do nothing -> Wacka spawns tons of bumbs -> Jump + Veil -> Bumps hit nothing -> Veil mills a turn -> Wacka spawns tons of bumps again -> repeat.
I like how Mush and Wacka actually PUNISH the most op strats. Wacka is basically anti-Yoshi/Multi bonk. Shame they undertuned him as I'd have loved it if he ate a bump EVERY turn (and multiple if he had a lot of spares) and would randomly attack Mario and partner instead of just one at a time to REALLY make you regret attacking him multiple times in one turn. Thus making Bobbery and Hammer shine. He also needed WAY more health so you cant just charge Peril Yoshi or Goombella and beat him in like 2 turns. Give Mush 300 HP and Wacka 999 HP and the fights would be perfect.
Fun fact about Whacka that I learned while just messing around: Superbova only does about 15 or 20 damage to Whacka, I didn't pay attention to the exact numbers but it is around that kind of damage.
Love the content 😊 has anyone else noticed the “spell” seems to activate less often during battles? I swear it feels like it got changed. I only got buffed like 3 times the entire trial and one double xp after a fight
The title is "How Early," not "Lowest Chapter", so I think it makes sense not to progress any of the story that you don't have to. So no returning the star. More debatably, I think it makes sense to only be able to level up your partners as far as you could before completing the prerequisites. So level them up before chapter 6. In short, I think what you did is the most authentic version of this trial. (Though a Low% Beat Whacka run could be cool, too. Avoid all unnecessary level ups.)
Could you do a challenge without using any special moves? They can carry fights and it would be interesting to see what badges and strategies you'd have to resort to without go tos like power lift.
No Power Lift would make Wacka a bit more interesting, but the problem is he doesn't "heal" every turn like he honestly should. having to make sure you do more than 25 damage to him per turn or maybe use a move like Gale force or bobomb blast to remove the bumps from the field would make the fight a lot more interesting, but the only real "Time bomb" is that he does so much damage to Mario, he might kill him. Even then his bumps aren't too hard to super guard.
i can't wait for some totally legit thousand year door remake games where you fight whacka in chapter 1. you just do too much damage when you can fight him first when he in could be insanely threatening with the healing + potential 100 damage in 1 turn split over multiple attacks. in my first fight i won in like 3 or so turn by just buffing and attacking
Made Like A Dark Fucked Up Version Of Blue Diglett From Paper Mario Haha. A Full Stare Into My Twisted Perspective Would Make Most Simply Go Insane LMAO.
I always like two fight whacka with strong single hit damage like charged power smashes and explosions, coz yknow, whack also he has unique dialogue when you power shell and blast him when you attack him in the overworld
I had heard whacka was at the bottom of the pit after beating it once and whacking him, so I went without waiting for the email and wasted like an hour or 2 just to get to an empty floor😭
Hehe Flurrie clears the pit SO much! Even the 5x Elite Wizzerds get one shotted by Flurrie. Add 2 Flower saver Ps and she carries... Really made having to redo the pit like 3 times cause I couldn't figure out how to get Wacka to appear (tried to avoid spoilers, but had to look it up after doing it twice...) Personally I do wish that Mush and Wacka had 300 HP and Wacka would ALWAYS eat one of his bumps as well as attack at the same time to really make the fight more strategic, since i love the mechanic of it being an anti-Yoshi/Power Bounce boss, though him being able to one shot Mario if he chooses to target him and you fail to guard/super guard does make him a high risk boss. I used Boo sheets after dying the first time to him, but he kept targetting my partner... personally I think the attack should've randomly targetted both Mario and Partner. Or at least on a refight against him maybe. All in all though, like Mario RPG Remake, the super bosses were excellent and a great test of the skills and prep you learned through the game. Still personally would've loved if they had like 999 HP to really make you exhaust your items and options, but I'll take what I can get.
...so you _can_ fight Whacka before postgame. I'll have to see if I can proc the email during the Chapter 7 Bonus segment. I already recorded Chapter 7, but didn't get around to editing the footage for YT.
and multiple can spawn, so these super bosses are out for BLOOD. Most players won't bother having Mario with over 100 HP but it does prevent you from just equipping tons of defense pluses and being physically immune to damage (though bonetail's defense piercing would still get past that, you need P down D up badges to realistically negate all damage in the game.)
Yes it always did. Oddly Fright Jar does not. Oh and fun fact, Show stopper, the 2SP star move that does the exact same thing as gale force ALSO gives star points...and only costs 2SP. Really you only avoid using it cause it takes the fun out of the game.
13:11 For me, it’s swapping Bonetail and Prince Mush. I did not come close to a game over with Bonetail but I kept dying over and over again to Prince’s Mush’s attacks. His multi-hit attacks do major damage and I’m not the best at super guarding. What’s worse is that when your partner dies, they can also use life shrooms so tere goes one of Mario’s lives in the trash.
Yeah Bone tail is more a war of attrition, but Mush is a test of skill. Especially since when he has less than 25 health, he will perfectly parry EVERY attack you can throw at him, including item and effect damage (like return postage, which he already parries perfectly). So the ONLY way to damage him is to super guard to get him tired, then you can finish him off. Excellent EXCELLENT boss fight, but gosh I wish he had a lot more health so more people would notice. the whole "Charge Peril Yoshi/Goombella" seems to be the only way people act like the game can be played. and they laugh at how easy "Danger Mario" makes the game. I'd argue Peril Yoshi/Goombella is far worse when it comes to cheese strats. Especially since it's not even optimal in a lot of cases, just overkill. (Seriously, give Ms Mowz some power plusses and slap a chain chomp for 0 FP defense piercing. Other partners ARE useful in their niches.)
There is a way to beat whacka without taking so much damage. He'll only heal once so power bounce and multibonk on turn one to force the heal then switch into vivian. Power bounce with mario and veil with vivian. You'll never take damage. But I guess that isn't fun for a challenge video
I swear I guess I just had great RNG in the Whacka fight. He rarely healed, and I was pretty good and super guarding, so in my two fights with him, I beat him first try both times
Do a pit of a 100 trials with just vivian/ only speacials prior to art attack…. Basically the nameless run… edit: given it’s impossible to go only Vivian… the other partners have to get killed off as you take w.e nessicary damege (no super guards) in that processs..:let’s make things challenging 😅
i found whacka....extremely easy. i just did normal power bounce shenanigans and literally super-guarded every single one of his attacks the first time fighting him. very lackluster for a superboss even if he was a joke one
He and Mush have far too little health. Great offense, but they die in a few charged/Peril Yoshi or Goombella attacks. at least Mush's 6 defense makes you work for it a bit, but still... they both needed at least 300 HP. I'd have honestly given Wacka 999 to really make you work for it. AND make him heal every turn there's an available bump so you need to really plan your attack and you get hard punished if you power bounce him.
Didn't other people show you can beat Prince Mush much earlier, due to figuring out how the email mechanic works? It depends on the number of battles you have. So, by avoiding battles, you made it take longer.
I know this is not relevant to your video but I watch your videos all the time. Would you try a supergaurd run only run if possible? I know all attacks can't be super guarded but maybe u could do something else in them circumstances. If you could that would be super cool
It's based on the US Super Guards, so the original game's "No attacking" run would look very similar. In fact I recomment watching that video, it was really cool how creative he got. Also, not all enemies can be hurt with super guards. enemies that attack indirectly (except Pokeys for some reason) will just sit there endlessly if you only superguard, and some bosses even when attacking directly won't be countered by super guard. Makes me REALLY wish Return Postage reflected ALL damage regardless, then it might actually be worth the 7 BP and doing the hardest challenge in the game, but GET THIS....Return postage doesn't work at all on Prince Mush. UTTERLY USELESS. (and naturally it doesn't work on wacka cause all his attacks are indirect)
Wacka Cheats, you might as well Multibonk/Power Bounce because if you try to go with single powerful hits he eventually shakes the arena and hits himself a ton of times spawning a full inventory of bumps anyways
What is the music in the background at the beginning. I remember it from my childhood but can’t recall where it’s from. It’s like a worm in my brain now, internet plz help!
Okay but what if you took on Whacka restricting yourself to only the badges, partners, and upgrades you had access to in chapter 1? Continuing from a prehooktail pit of 100 trials save file and using bump attack to ignore all the enemies in ch1-ch5
I think the superbosses in the dlc dont lend themselves well to challenge runs unfortunately because they feel too intricately designed compared to Bonetail. Mega Rush Goombella would need a few turns to do it plus a bit of Mario chipping in as well and if you theoretically superguarded enough I suppose you could win? Charge isnt available by that point and neither is power rush p or either rush for Mario so I don't know how one would do this besides being lucky or insanely skilled as Goombella wont be able to get back to 1 HP most likely even if they use a life shroom. The main issue is how efficient and infinite Whacka's heal is. As far as I know as long as he has bumps to eat he can infinitely heal unlike Bonetail's finite 3 times to heal. Mario with only CP1 badges cant do that damage so Mega Rush P is the only strat and you would need to be a god to do that (Or get quite lucky, but that also isnt very interesting).
@@jxgalaxy3810 challenge runners have certainly dealt with worse (looking at you pre-starpoints pit). I do agree it'll be a total super guard fest. You can reduce Whacka's damage for yellow bumps to 2 with the two available Last Stand P. And I think Koops is kind of key here, but I need to test the shell shield interaction more
The biggest problem is the red bump heal, that'll put a damper on things. But at least everything Whacka does can be super guarded, so it's a bit of an endurance battle
@@justwantawholename 2 will still kill a 1 HP partner. I’m not saying it’s impossible but I think it will be mostly luck and superguard based with no real strategy

Vanilla Thousand Year door , yes , the hardest part is to get to them and if you lose or manage your resources badly , you are screwed
TTYD remake however now gives you the option of "retrying" the same battle , which pretty much is "try until you win"
I hadn’t even brought the emerald star to the door.)
poor wacka, so strong, but his power is to doable for him to ever be a true challenge. if only he could be faught way earlier.
7:20 I'd call this more a revenge plot than a serial killing
Whacka does peacefully leave you alone at the bottom of the pit until you whack him.
Bonus points he "remembers" who you were with his "Oh so THAT'S Why you're here!"
WOOHOO! new bringle!! thanks for the videos !
Just wow 😮
Great stuff as always! Glad to see the Bringle squad growing with each video!
I haven't had the chance to play TTYD remake yet so I would appreciate if spoiler videos had *vague titles*
Banger video as always, you are the goat
The best way to finish the pit, is to lower your max hp to 5 by talking to Chet Rippo and wearing lots of power rushes, which cost 100 piantas each in the pianta parlor.
This is probably the one boss where using the hammer could arguably be a safer strategy than multibonks.
More thematic too
The easiest strat I found was Do nothing -> Wacka spawns tons of bumbs -> Jump + Veil -> Bumps hit nothing -> Veil mills a turn -> Wacka spawns tons of bumps again -> repeat.
4:30 if i had a nickel for every time a skill called galeforce was overpowered in an intelligent systems game, i'd have a phineas and ferb joke.
Fun fact about Whacka that I learned while just messing around:
Superbova only does about 15 or 20 damage to Whacka, I didn't pay attention to the exact numbers but it is around that kind of damage.
Supernova ALWAYS does 15 damage to all enemies (EXCEPT Mush....the GOAT).
Love the content 😊 has anyone else noticed the “spell” seems to activate less often during battles? I swear it feels like it got changed. I only got buffed like 3 times the entire trial and one double xp after a fight
TLDR: as early as after Cortez, you just have to have killed Bonetail and hit whacka 8 times while on Cortez Chapter.
I think wacky would write it to Mario down to the pit of 100 trials so he can take revenge
Another bringles out of the can
Could you do a challenge without using any special moves? They can carry fights and it would be interesting to see what badges and strategies you'd have to resort to without go tos like power lift.
No Power Lift would make Wacka a bit more interesting, but the problem is he doesn't "heal" every turn like he honestly should. having to make sure you do more than 25 damage to him per turn or maybe use a move like Gale force or bobomb blast to remove the bumps from the field would make the fight a lot more interesting, but the only real "Time bomb" is that he does so much damage to Mario, he might kill him. Even then his bumps aren't too hard to super guard.
I can't wait for mods for the game, if that happens someday.
Fun Fact: Whacka always heals in the first turn (if damage was delt earlier).
Would love to see you attempt "Disabled Mario"
i can't wait for some totally legit thousand year door remake games where you fight whacka in chapter 1. you just do too much damage when you can fight him first when he in could be insanely threatening with the healing + potential 100 damage in 1 turn split over multiple attacks. in my first fight i won in like 3 or so turn by just buffing and attacking
Whacka was honestly easy after my first playthrough cause any other playthrough I realized "oh, i can use shell shield and negate all damage lmao"
Made Like A Dark Fucked Up Version Of Blue Diglett From Paper Mario Haha. A Full Stare Into My Twisted Perspective Would Make Most Simply Go Insane LMAO.
I always like two fight whacka with strong single hit damage like charged power smashes and explosions, coz yknow, whack
also he has unique dialogue when you power shell and blast him when you attack him in the overworld
thanks for making me feel terrible about my skills…
again
To be fair, he's been playing this game since he was a child
There's no competing with the ultimate veteran
I had heard whacka was at the bottom of the pit after beating it once and whacking him, so I went without waiting for the email and wasted like an hour or 2 just to get to an empty floor😭
Whacka is a serial killer...but that's just a theory. A game theory!
Hehe Flurrie clears the pit SO much! Even the 5x Elite Wizzerds get one shotted by Flurrie. Add 2 Flower saver Ps and she carries... Really made having to redo the pit like 3 times cause I couldn't figure out how to get Wacka to appear (tried to avoid spoilers, but had to look it up after doing it twice...)
Personally I do wish that Mush and Wacka had 300 HP and Wacka would ALWAYS eat one of his bumps as well as attack at the same time to really make the fight more strategic, since i love the mechanic of it being an anti-Yoshi/Power Bounce boss, though him being able to one shot Mario if he chooses to target him and you fail to guard/super guard does make him a high risk boss.
Honey, new Brignolé dropped
New huge bringle content
...so you _can_ fight Whacka before postgame. I'll have to see if I can proc the email during the Chapter 7 Bonus segment. I already recorded Chapter 7, but didn't get around to editing the footage for YT.
another day another bringle video 🫡🫡🫡
I just kept doing spin jumps to beat wacka when I fought him
Whacka is a pretty cool dude.
This is one wacky video
The red whacka bump actually does 27 damage
and multiple can spawn, so these super bosses are out for BLOOD. Most players won't bother having Mario with over 100 HP but it does prevent you from just equipping tons of defense pluses and being physically immune to damage (though bonetail's defense piercing would still get past that, you need P down D up badges to realistically negate all damage in the game.)
Question: did Flurries gale force give you star points on the GameCube? That’s OP
@@MarioMastar I thought he had 96 hp.
Babe wake up a new Bringle vid just pop
There is a way to beat whacka without taking so much damage.
He'll only heal once so power bounce and multibonk on turn one to force the heal then switch into vivian. Power bounce with mario and veil with vivian. You'll never take damage. But I guess that isn't fun for a challenge video
i just kept hitting whacka with a hammer and make jinx hide me lol fit was over so quickly
Can you even FIGHT Whacka floor 100 WITHOUT beating the GAME at least ONCE first.
Wacka is really weak Bom-ombast. Since it's single attack move with lots of power, it's great for this battle despite the cost.
I wish I didn’t one shot him with danger yoshi it is such a fun fight
I swear I guess I just had great RNG in the Whacka fight. He rarely healed, and I was pretty good and super guarding, so in my two fights with him, I beat him first try both times
He only seems to heal once....which is a massive shame. I was looking forward to this being an attrition battle.
Have you jumped on whacka or did other fun things with him on keelhaul key?
i found whacka....extremely easy. i just did normal power bounce shenanigans and literally super-guarded every single one of his attacks the first time fighting him. very lackluster for a superboss even if he was a joke one
7:07 LMAO wtaf
the power lift abuser strikes again
Ok thank you
Whack-hooo
Wacka Cheats, you might as well Multibonk/Power Bounce because if you try to go with single powerful hits he eventually shakes the arena and hits himself a ton of times spawning a full inventory of bumps anyways
Hi Bringle!
I need Prologue level-0-only Pit again!
What is the music in the background at the beginning. I remember it from my childhood but can’t recall where it’s from. It’s like a worm in my brain now, internet plz help!
Macho Grubba fight from gamecube thousand year door
YES YES YES
5:35 my honest framerate reaction:
I beat the pit before I finished chapter 3 like I had 3 enemies to fight and I didn't get the email until I beat the game.😢
I wonder what ur fastest .. while skipping 80% of the fight. To get to the end the fastest
Item only run
Whacka is easier then bonetail and mush In my opinion but mush is the hardest in my opinion.
What are the lowest stats hp/fp/bp needed to beat him?
How early can u whack whacka
No for me it's bonetail easiest 3. wacka second hardest 2 and prince mush being the hardest I have died 6+ times to him all together on my first and second playthrough. I would agree with you if it was the original for bonetail but you can just retry him again but this is my opinion.
Block tales
3:06 You can get the Up Arrow as soon as you have Bobbery. You only need to hold up the Sapphire Star so that you can give Merlon the Up arrow.
Video Idea: Hammer only, Zess T. items only, One Badge at a time limit
This video is so whack. Also amazing song choices
I dont like this
