  • These are my three hunting saddles and in this video I go over the differences and similarities. I also talk a lot about my platform and climbing sticks. I’ve used several different setups over the years and I’m still making small changes to the way I mobile hunt.

Good review. I hunt out of the phantom looking to up grade to a two panel style for more comfort

I might try a back band or a bridge spacer to see if I can move my weight around. I think I get a lot of hip pinch when I really are down all my weight into the saddle. I need to lean back more or evenly distribute weight from my mid section.

I'm not sure which latitude generation latitude saddle that is but the Latitude 2 is what I would buy. I was fortunate enough to get a Custom saddle rated to 400 lbs. a couple of years ago that's very much like the Latitude 2 for fit & comfort that I'm thinking about just getting a Latitude 2 to have as a backup. My custom saddle is very similar to putting on & sitting in as the Latitude 2. I'm an Arborist by trade & know the advantages to Amsteel but I like the webbed strap better for feel that my custom saddle has. A very small diameter Amsteel which will float in water for being lightweight, but the webbed strap will help me control my movement just a little bit more when I have to move & position for a shot. But the latitude is similar to my custom saddle when it comes to putting it on & riding 2 miles on my bike to a destination. I used to think that my New Tribe flex made saddle that was in a Predator camo finish was nice until I upgraded to a mesh style saddle. U need to have comfort & flexibility when saddle hunting. When I talk to people that have Tethrd it seems that all it is about is buying. Into a brand that sells u more accessories to add to it that in the end just adds to hip pinch. It doesn't have to be that way. I have pants that I can fit layers under & these pants have knee pads that have the pads sewn in between 2 layers. With that I can stay more stealth & if it's dead calm I can put a pair of fleece pants over them. I have some knee pads but I've never worn them once. To me Tethrd is just another stick climbing corporate community that makes u invest in multiple items. I climb with a rope for more than one reason. It's the safest, the most stealthy & it makes me use less metal which is the most important when it comes to being a minimalist. I'm trying to go in light 1st & foremost. 😅😮🎉

Great info and thanks for sharing. I agree, I like the webbing and I see no real downside to 1 inch tubular webbing in terms of strength.
