standard things 3is should have... -better fuel economy -spacious cockpit -remove awd hump in the driver seat -memory seats -electronic folding side mirrors -carplay + android auto -widescreen stereo -better base model audio system
15.7 is low, you definitely be driving that mf though 🤣 and trust me, my boy has a hellcat and he averages like 8 mpg fr, I’ve gotten 28-33 on roadtrips, average city driving with some pulls here and there, 21-23ish, when i’m really driving when i’m out and about i’ll average like 17-19
You can add aftermarket CarPlay box Miko . Without taking away the oem screen . It’s a box you can buy I did for mine . You hold the menu button and it swaps down oem system to a CarPlay one so you can keep your stock gps
Bro messed up his front bumper and decided to take his anger out on the Lex lol 1) About MPG...Maybe you have to change your driving style or eco mode bro, looks like you constantly redline it but don't blame you because the car sounds real nice. The weight of the car is definitely a factor too. 2) It may not be the fastest but you don't get these cars for speed. You get these because of reliability,, tried and true engine that can go 300k+, build quality and comfort. These cars also retain and have a great resale value. I'm sure the BMWs are fast but just wait until the maintenance fees rack up. Theres a reason why the resale value is so bad. Also, I did get an RR tune as well for my IS300 awd and tbh the results were underwhelming . I would say a throttle controller is one of the best mods you can get for this car and would suggest you get one as well. Got mine for about $40 too. 3) Sounds like you have the fsport 1 option...luckily I got one with the fsport 2 option with the memory seats and all the safety features. I can also agree with you and say that having memory seats is a great feature! Maybe you can tell your mom to move the car without adjusting the seat? I believe the fsport 3 is the same as the second option plus the sun shade in the back with the mark levingston speakers. Damn you're a giant trying to squeeze into a car like, this car ain't made for asians, you're just taller than the average lol the word I think is "OCD." 4) I was worried about that hump next to the pedal as well when I first looked at the car. I barely notice it unless I try to rest my leg. I think the car is great inside and out. My thing about this car that I'm surprised you didn't mention was the horrible cup holder location and the trunk hinges in the back that can crush items if they are in close proximity. 5) Sucks that this car doesn't have carplay standard, however, you can install a carplay module (which I did) and it makes the driving experience that much better. It was around $200. You don't lose the oem feature, you're able to switch back from carplay and oem with the carplay module. P.S I noticed your nose sounds stuffy/blocked, should try and check out an ENT doctor, you may have nasal polyps like I did. You can get them removed and it is life changing.
I have a 13' AWD GS350 F-Sport and i have the same issues with tires except its my rear inner tire that wears out the fastest. Granted, i lowered it on tanabe springs and never was able to install my rear camber arms bc of corrosion on a major bolt but it absolutely eats through tires, particularly in the summer time. Its a bit jarring as im coming from a 11' corolla could ride tires out for 30-40k+. I rotate my tires every 2,500 miles now and hoping to see longer life. The inner rears go bald in 10k smh. Straight wires showing with my last set.
can you do a video about what common problems to look for before buying a is350? bc I'm in the market to get one and I'm tryna gather as much info from as many owners as I can. Great vid btw, learned somethings
I really haven’t seen anyone say they’ve had common issues with these, the head unit is probably the only one, which is definitely common, even my 2019 acts funny sometimes, but that’s a quick aftermarket fix. Drivetrain though? I see people pushing 250-350k miles all the time with nothing but normal maintenance. Even seen a dude with a 2014 with 414k miles 💀
@@Tokyo_Yoshi honestly bro id say this is that video. there isnt too many problem mechanically with these cars unless you get a lemon. otherwise your good for a long time as long as you just do the recommended maintenance

OUUUU i feel you on the carplay 😭 Especially when they give you a 2021+ Loaner or something, that new tech update is insane, the 2021+ lane keep assist basically drives you in the IS, the 2020 and under will send you into a swerve after 10 seconds 😭🙏
@@brizuhk5043 I had an 07 IS and the base sound system was better on every level.. not sure why they'd downgrade a sound system on a newer car. I've been in a few other modern cars, including a Kia Soul, which sounded better. Not cheap to get into car audio either so pretty disappointing.
Upgrade it they're plug n play but might need an amp if you want full potential, I got 60 dollar 4 in kicker dash speakers and the difference is quite noticeable, cant wait to do my doors.
im not gonna lie the base sound system i found to be alright. i went to get quotes on a bass upgrade but it was almost 1k and it just didnt seem worth it. ill either install one myself or just upgrade a whole car at this point

I feel you on the seat adjustment thing. Very annoying for a luxury car to not have memory seats
no folding mirrors or mirrors that point down when you’re in reverse 😢 accidentally rolling down the rear windows when I wanted to roll down the front
Yeah the seats are nice most ppl complement them but they are uncomfortable on long drives

Gas is so bad man. I'm averaging 19mpg on my rwd. Other thing I hate is the base sound system - absolute dogshit especially for a lexus.
I was a big hater on the base sound system, but to be fair, i drive a lot of different cars, it’s honestly a lot better than i give it credit for.
But also like you said, for a lexus, you expect way more still
