Sent to live with the man she calls her father, a barber in Tennessee, Winfrey landed a job in radio while still in high school. Her emotional ad-lib delivery eventually got her transferred to the daytime talk show arena. She's thought to have popularized and revolutionized the tabloid talk show genre pioneered by Phil Donahue. By the mid-1990s, she had reinvented her show with a focus on literature, self-improvement, and spirituality. From 2006 to 2008, her endorsement of Obama, by one estimate, delivered over a million votes. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama. The viewership for The Oprah Winfrey Show was highest during the 1991-92 season, when about 13.1 million U.S. viewers were watching each day. The power of Winfrey's opinions and endorsement to influence public opinion has been dubbed "The Oprah Effect".

The most precious life that you touch, is yourself. So, touch yourself as often as possible. If it's good enough for Oprah, then it's good for me. I hope it's good for you.
Your legacy is also every life that you help to smile. Or, laugh. If you can't see humour or have the desire to touch yourself, then your legacy is untouchable.
So, that statement can work both ways. Meaning, it doesn't necessarily mean the lives you touch will have a positive effect. The result of your legacy and the effect on the lives it touches also requires further refinement, employing either a positive or negative approach.
I suppose this attests my belief in humour, as I wouldn't have reached this conclusion had I chose a serious form of expression. Touching myself FTW! =P

Grown up watching your talk shows alongwith my sister, mam. It gave me a lot of strength. Having experienced abuse myself during the first 7 years of my Life.But never had a closure. Things became worse after getting married, being in an abusive marriage. Later on having two daughters who were never treated right,aswell.I started falling sick,my girls were always unwell,later leading to a major nervous breakdown. As I lost my sleep,out of the fear of my girls going through what I went as a child.Still on medication for anxiety and sleep issues.All coz of fears of the unknown.Don't know if I ever be able to overcome my painful past and fears.

I made a video on this idea. I've grown up hearing "you don't want to be like everyone around you, you want to be better than that". I don't think I need to compare, but it sparked up curiosity in what I should do, and how to get "better". I believe at this point that everything anyone does is an expression of gratitude for life. The fun part is thinking what are you most grateful for? The shiny car, the dancing kitten, an opportunity to learn and grow? Idk, but an open mind, good heart, and desire to act all sounds pretty good right? lol, sounds noble huh ;D. But seriously..

Oprah plant seeds of wisdoms, listen and determine how you can use them
Turn your wounds into wisdom. Sometimes we get kicked down, and at the end of the day they are nothing more than character builders. Lost my MMA fight this weekend, but will come back as a stronger version of myself. Doubt will sometimes try to creep in and get the best of you, but you have to soar above that and be the very best version of yourself that you can be. Enjoy the the journey to the very fullest! 👍
