1. Have a dream
He was born in Coffee County in southeastern Alabama.
2. Think as a champion
He was the tenth of twelve children.
3. Be committed

Words can't express how grateful I am of your channel. I am in tears right now. I am a new entrepreneur. I don't have any support from family and most friends. I know that it is absolutely essential to learn from like minded people to keep the momentum going. I received disheartening news this morning regarding my company. My mom is one of those exact people who is always saying she'll get a job once summer comes, then when summer comes she needs to wait until we went back to school. Well now my sister and I are out of college so it'll be interesting to see what the next excuse is. lol Certainly taught me to learn things for myself cuz I know I want more for myself. I've got "see you at the top" playing on the commute to and from work for the past 3 weeks. starting to feel like blooming...you know how the bud comes up and the petals slowly unfurl and stretch out...its a good feeling.
The thing is that Ziglar is a believer, and that is an essential part of this worldview. If you don`t believe that there is Someone who loves you UNCONDITIONALLY, it will be very hard for you to believe you can achieve a lot. Just an example.

The most important rule to me would be DO IT RIGHT NOW. It is so easy to say I cant, I am too busy, I will do it in a few months, etc. There really isn't an excuse-- if you want to make a positive change that will add to the happiness or success of your life, there is no time to wait! Zig Ziglar is a personal favorite speaker. The rule that impacted me most was setting goals. I set goals regularly, but looked at them as a target, steps of action and date. I had a "WoW" moment when he said to list obstacles. hmmm...

I LOVE Zig Ziglar......my old man was from very small-town Mississippi born 1930.....luckily his daddy had a job as railroad clerk in the depot and got a regular pay check.
I had the opportunity to see him in person maybe 1 to 2 years before he died in 2012. Priceless.

I didn't know that I was living Zig Ziglar's 10 secrets to success until I saw his video. I grew up with my principles, which happen to be mine and have been successful in life despite an illness at birth. It makes me feel good that I am living my life the best way possible before my time is up.

They are all such great rules and wonderful advice, it's difficult to pick just one. However, I guess I would chose the one I most often told my children and now, my grandchildren; BE PREPARED. "Before you enter a class room, be prepared to learn. Before you get behind the wheel of a car, be prepared for the unexpected. Before you go on a job interview, be prepared to answer questions confidently." And so many more.
This is perhaps the greatest positive mind I have came across.

I've only just discovered Ziglar from finding and reading his book "Secrets of Closing the Sale" in a library. What an amazing speaker, would have loved to see him give a talk.
Oh my goodness! "What ever you do is worth doing poorly" I always tell people that what made me such a great business woman was I was such a bad Tupperware Lady! Way back in the 1980's when I was in my twenties. I really learned what all the wrong things you can do when you are trying to build a business.

10. Don't Quit. I recently got started with a Network Marketing company. Never done anything like this before and have not had the success I am looking for yet. I know that if I quit I won't make my dreams come true. I will not quit.

I think motivational speakers blow fish balls but I make an exception for Zig Ziglar. First you gotta love that name. Second he is the master of cheesey slogans. My fav is "See ya at the top!". He's a lovable caricature, an anachronism frozen in time four generations back. He's his own time machine in the past. Love me some Zig.

I believe in dreams and goals. When I weighed 300 pounds, I dreamed of running a 26 mile marathon. Eventually, I lost over 100 pounds and ran many marathons. Oh, I kept the weight off too.
