I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla Alltrac and I'm having a similar issue, only difference is, when the engine warms up, the fan shuts off and only comes back in when it needs to.

I have the same problem. Fan is always on. Turned out I have a defective coolant temperature sensor. Replaced sensor. Works great.

Your engine looks too clean. Did you clean it or is it just very low mileage?

Did you discover where it was connected? Mines lieterally shorted together and no sign where the original connections are in the male terminal.

Hey Alex, because of your years of experience...What is your expert opinion on a 2001 Toyota Corolla Le 150k are there any mechanical issues one should know about?

Just FYI, had a 98 Corolla since new, just sold it late March with over 283k miles. Did burn oil a bit almost a quart in the 3k mile oil chg. Had to replace the starter in 2006 once & AC Compressor in 2014 once. Bad idea or not- still had original Alternator, Water Pump/Thermostat, Radiator, 1.8L engine, basic 3sp Auto trans, timing chain, & multiple sensors. It was very good to me and guy bought it for $1k happy. Did lots of maint. work myself.

nice video but did you know you touched and named the temp sensor and fan switch wrong the first you touched was the fan switch and not the temp sensor and the second you thouched the temp sensor and said it was the fan switch,,,then temp sensor is contained nearest to the thermostat which was the huge silver dome looking connector of hose, and the 30 amp what you called was a relay is actually a 30 amp fuse relays are the enclosed fully brown thingys fuse most always have glass or clear plastic windows to determine if its blown or corroded as you stated jus saying ,,but nice and informative video

Hi dude. Thanks for this info. Deleted the aircon on my 20v blacktop and yes the rad fan was staying on. Glad I saw this before I went and bought new temp sensors from Toyota. My connector has 4 wires not 2, but I figured it out. Just got to jump the 2 green wires. Big thumbs up to you mate.

I have the same car and the same problem as you, did you find a disconnected wire or was it something else?

Well, Mine is just the opposite. I have a dodge stratus 2002, my fans don't come on at all. When I apply power direct to the fans, they come on. I replaced the engine cooling sensor, thermostat, and radiator cap, still same problem. I'm looking for a fan temperature sensor. Can't find one. I went to Dodge dealership in person, they tell me my model car doesn't have a fan temperature sensor. That explains why I can't find it. Dodge is tell me; for $200 something dollars they can look at the car and tell me what the problem is.
when I disconnect the engine temp sensor fans come on. When I remove the fan relay, fans come on. Any idea s ??? I'm fresh out of ideas.

What you are calling relays are actually fuses, more precisely fuselinks
