When I first started listening to Hip Hop, there was no known white rappers. It was dominantly black music. I'm white and started rapping myself in late 1984. I embraced and greatly respected black culture so much that I got my ass beat and called every racial slur by other white people who called me a race traitor. My black friends welcomed me into their family and homes. Most stood up for me against the white kids who ganged up on me. I understand that the industry is ran by rich racist oppressive white people. Don't generalize my white ass in with those types of white people. Hip Hop is world wide, spoken in many languages across many borders. It's not just black or white. Color is irrelevant when skills, paying homage and having respect is concerned. Diabolic killed it. Neither his or kweli skin tone should even matter. We should be way beyond that by now. KRS One also addressed whites in Hip Hop who are also oppressed by other whites.

I give respect to Talib for his early work. He has released some classic material in his career. Having said that, Talib whines too much on Twitter and has this almost elitist Hip Hop attitude which is odd for a dude whose best work is well over a decade old and his biggest hit wasn't even as big as it could have been. I own quite a few albums by both artists . Diabolic is the better rapper in every way . Lyrically they are both great --- but Diabolic is a top 10 of all time lyricist . Talib Kweli is a top 50 of all time lyricist .
