In my humble opinion, Aesop Rock is the best rapper dead or alive. I learn new words and de-code meanings ,years later ,after listening to his music, making his songs Timeless! He openly broadcasts genuine insecurities and vulnerabilities which takes courage, the type of courage we rarely see in Hip-Hop. Aes' puts classic hip hop samples in the instrumentals ,when he's producing ,but always spits originally unique bars, using words I've never even heard before. Aesop Rock is extremely underrated and under appreciated. "Shakespeare on paper ,in person he's Beavis. Haha
As a usual metal head or psychedelic rock fan I haven't listened to hip hop in a long time I've heard some Aesop and dug it but not until hearing this his newest album ITS absolutely incredible now going all through his back catalog
Chris C I'm sure you've seen all the comments of those saying he's Shakespeare lol I love Aesop and I get the composition, but he would tell you himself that he's no Shakespeare. He's Aesop

From the legends twitter I thought I'd take a second to briefly sum up the songs and subjects covered on The Impossible Kid. These are very short explanations, but should give some general direction on what you're hearing. Mystery Fish - This song is about the alley I lived on in San Francisco for 7 years. Wild place but a lot of great memories. Rings - This is about my failed endeavors as a visual artist and feeling some regret for slowing down on my studies in that arena. Lotta Years - This is about observing today’s youth and feeling old. Dorks - This is about the music industry, tastemakers, artists, critics, and messages pumped out into the community through all related channels. It deals with the divide I see between the art, the artist, the image, and how music media gets to steer the conversation more than the actual creators do. Rabies - This is about living in the woods, feeling like eyes are watching you from deep in the trees, feeling like you’re becoming the forest, war paint, strange noises, all that good stuff. Supercell - This is about the holidays and choosing not to go home to see my family. It talks about the kinds of thoughts and inner dialogue that takes place in those times. Blood Sandwich - This is two stories from childhood, one highlights my younger brother, and the other my older brother. Get Our of the Car - This talks about the death of Camu Tao in 2008, and the adversity I’ve faced since. Sometimes we think we’re all healed up and moving forward, but then one day you realize you never actually dealt with the first loss in a manner that enabled you to steer through the following years in the most productive way. Shrunk - This is about going to the psychiatrist, and taking a slightly humorous angle on attempting to get the most out of the work I put in in that arena. Kirby - This is about my cat, Kirby. TUFF - This is kind of my pre-therapy moment, losing control and going a little batty. It’s like the song you make before you say to yourself “ok maybe I should go get some help” - but not really in a dark way, more in a scattered and hopefully humorous way. Lazy Eye - This was about an attempt to really pull myself together and try to feel good about my accomplishments in music thus far - something I rarely allow myself to do. It was written after a long and inspiring conversation with Chuck D about music, work, diversifying, and recognizing the importance of being an artist. Defender - This is about attempting to deal with a few unrelated issues at one time. There were sightings of a bobcat locally, which meant to stay indoors with the pets and such. At the same time I was dealing with a couple private, personal issues, and dividing my time into worrying about all of them. Water Tower - This is about life into death into life, etc. It talks about how every living thing eventually turns back into earth on an equal level. Sinners, saints, goldfish, all of it. Molecules - This song is about feeling displaced a bit after moving around so much. It speaks of my wanting to get back home to the East Coast soon, but also feeling unsure of what I even have left out there.
Thank you! I don't use twitter. What's nice about this is that its exactly what I thought each story was about. This album is my all time fav Aesop album. Relateable, real and some major wordsmithing

Agreed! I probably account for like 1/3 of the total views, been listening to this damn near every day since it came out years ago. My wife prefers Labor Days, but this album rocked my socks off right off the bat. So epic, so relatable. I worked at a humane society for 3.5 years and used to love blasting Kirby in the cat area while feeding & cleaning.

I doubt 4 years after this release that anyone involved in this album would be paying attention to a comment section, but i have to get this out. Ive been at my own ends lately. with everything thats going on, this world, liars in places of authority and most people dont seem to give a shit; its a state ive never experienced before. things have been so dark these last couple weeks. I don't know where I would have ended up without finding this album. Heard Kirby and Tuff and decided to listen to the whole thing. I met Aes a couple times through friends, I just remember how humble and kind he was to me. I've found new paths through my own fog during the spaces between tracks on this masterpiece. I can't ever thank y'all enough for this. You gave an old artist a pass back home from the edge. my best to you, sirs.
He's great at a lot of things but I'm really fascinated with the many different poetically eloquent ways he's able to describe feeling like shit, it comes across as so relatable on its cynic stoicism that it drives you to recognize the humor in it instead of feeling sorry for yourself, and that makes him a great listen if you're going through a hard time. If you meet him again, tell him an argentinian fan said hi! :D
Hang in there bro - I'm a festering wound myself, but i guess that's every artists "starting weapon" lol 😂😂😂 And it just gets worse as you progress in your art - "new level: you've unlocked 'Asceticism' and 'Flagellant+Castigator X11' ", haha 😂😂
First discovered Aes during the None Shall Pass days. A few highschoolers died in a car accident and I, as any teenager back around 2007 would have, checked their MySpaces. I didn't know the guy personally but he had None Shall Pass as his profile song. Years later Skelethon really struck an intimate chord with me and inspired me to dig back into Aesop's catalog and soak in the lyrical concepts and the messages interwoven from record to record. This record right here though is fucking tight. I've listened to it from front to back countless times already and even without yet digging into the verses on Rap Genius I've already identified a handful of references to tracks off of NSP and Skelethon. Truthfully one of the best poetic artists of the past decade. Easily. The Impossible Kid is fucking tight.
I too inadvertently stumbled upon Aesop Rock, and initially skipped past his music on a collective mp3 of hip hop artist; blue schoolars, atmosphere, mf doom....etcetera. Giving a second listen my ears captured a fraction of his musical talent intriguing me to further investigate this unparalleled style of uncomformative rap that required googling definitions of words that couldn't possibly be layered across this unique cadence. It was then I sunk years of Aesop down my pallet in a matter of hours, realizing I have just scratched the surface of this art. i emursed myself into Aesop music for the last 5 years, and uncover new gems still to this day. No other musician has been able to hold my interest like Aes. Tool/Maynard James Keenan is a distant second. I will continue to consume and soak up his glorious art as long as hes creating brilliance in the form of sound. there is none like him. He is the greatest pacman victory in history. thank you Ian, for sharing yourself with us. You are loved.
+paul sallee posts like this make me want to recommend shit like b dolan sage francis immortal technique i remember before i really watch anime years ago i was in a best buy and bought berserk volume 1 and that changed me lol
For real. You can pull so much more meaning from almost every single bar with a little bit of effort. It's like he purposefully is dialing it back a little so that you can keep up.
dude I been listening to Aesop for like 20 years and I STILL hear new things and references when I listen to him that I've never caught before.. even on his older albums which I've heard 100s of times I still catch interesting things I never noticed before. Imo this is why Aes is one of the best rappers. Its not the same thing over and over and theres a ton to pick apart in his music although he does have certain themes in a lot of music (isolation and anxiety..etc)
"My hair was underwhelming, my juice was fucking great." "Party over here, I'll be over there." "I used a folded map to find the juice in the first" Aesop is king.
+J Santo I doubt killer Mike gives a fuck though.. I mean who isn't fucked with now days? I feel like anyone who was affiliated with wm could actually dig being on a list or def jux at that. Aesop is too skilled to let them catch him speaking about important shit.
One man's terrorist is another man's revolutionary. Pretty sure you could classify the "Founding Fathers" as terrorists and people still seem to love them.
CHURRRRRRRRRR my ninja :)... This Sayers lived in my ear holes constant since I smashed Ketamine.... While smashing rails of Ketamine :D (Which explains a lot) :P
aesop the only rapper ever that makes his verses sound like prose and works in the description and dialogue so well into his songs that you'd think it's a novel and not a song
Remless Mr 5 squirts of gorilla piss I always just assumed it was because he's a pretty niche artist, but I guess if we're talking strictly about publicity, he doesn't get much.
Shit, I was just listening to a stream of Schammash's Triangle, a full triple album. On Soundcloud, pre-release! It is a pretty cool thing to do, though I haven't seen artists releasing full music videos for their albums, so props to Aesop and Rob for this. I think I prefer the Go Karts though.
He was in Olympia around the time that this was written I think, I saw him a couple times. One time I saw him in Safeway and he was in line right behind me, I was trying so hard not to fanboi out. This was right when Cunninlynguists dropped SJv3. I think he was buyin cinnamon rolls and bananas.
@@sonofamachinegun8568I had a bad first impression of Homeboy Sandman but after listening to him on those Lice projects really changed my mind. He's real slick with a lot of his lines
Want to know why it's this way? It's because Aesop draws a certain crowd. Mostly RUclipsrs with a mass of subs will meet a myriad of haters and that's just the norm. Go on any Aesop video and very little,if at all on all of them, seem to have little to none of these haters. Most people won't waste their time unless it gives them the attention they're desperate for. Soon you'll see the haters on this video. Give it at least a few months.
Whole album amazing of course, but Dorks man.. the beat plus the flow and the lyrics. Thank you so much Aesop. I've been using your music to cope with life since high school and from age 15 to age 30 it has consistently meant just as much to me. (Album purchase incoming).
TheWatsonGreen that's so cool! I really wish i discovered this legend in the past, my friend gave me this exact album before we split paths and i never listened to it until yesterday and GODDAMN this guy is on another level wowz. Every song and line is a masterpiece, especially Dorks!
TheWatsonGreen: same boat as you, i started on appleseed and have been following Aesop ever since then. Its been at least 16 years of listening to him and still am amazed by the talent the he expresses in his music
Seriously Aes. Never quit, you're the most honest lyricist there is... all the while challenging your listeners to use their brains to comprehend and understand the message you're putting forth whether its deep and personable or over all relatable.... or just complete joke and "ahahha"... salute to you
"Back in the ' 90s used to Ollie up a curb"? "This life is hard to bare, Party over here? .....I'll be over there"? This is the best Hip Hip album of the decade, hands down. I've always loved Aesop but I've never seen him produce a full concept album like this (or maybe I just couldn't put it together) You are the Fucking God of lyric and flow Aesop and I dare someone to challenge that statement because I'd love to hear their irrational explanation saying otherwise. I've been battling people since 1982 and have rarely lost any of them. I don't so much any more because it trigger mania because I'm bipolar......so I can relate when you talk about a Lamictal rash! Aesop Rock and Brotha Ali, the worlds 2 most underrated rappers!
"This was never an effective way to rally insurgents Or really even the occupation of a rational person When you write about seclusion and some buyers finally tune in You get frightened finding happiness can drive away the movement In a jiffy, just eat your food and keep the future iffy That fruition's for the viewers who need a loser to pity Plus an underlying message of a greater disconnection God forbid he try to live or gain momentum" Jesus christ
+Josh Crane i feel like you could paraphrase any aes verse, and that sentence would apply, but yeah, fuck. That shit hits you hard. Both beautiful and unsettling af
Jason Byrd lol I meant that I'm just really picky about what I listen to. I/m starting to realize that I don't enjoy a lot of music. But when I do, I go all in.
My daughter is my music concert buddy and she turned me on to atmosphere and felt and we saw atmosphere at a small venue in Rapid City South Dakota in 2010 and about 2 years ago I fell into the Rhymesayers rabbit-hole how I do not do that anytime sooner I don't know but I've just made it homie in this rabbit hole because Aesop is amazing f****** amazing
followed Aesop rock for like 6-7 years and then I stopped and completely forgot about him now today I was watching a Sway interview with Shia Labeouf and his name was mentioned I instantly checked for the old school underground shit and saw he had a new release, this might be my favorite day of 2016!
Okay Rhymesayers Entertainment, Much applause in extending the "Full Album Stream". Great PR flow, wonderful execution, and the album will surely sell itself once the quality of content is witnessed.
+sargenttourette's it won't even come close, run the jewels I think has fallen off a bit since first album. El-p solo stuff trumps any run the jewels. Shame he couldn't stay solo doing his own thing. Bums me out. That said, Aesop is like fine wine he just gets better and better with time. None shall and pass and then this?? Can't wait for show in Chicago in June. He fucking kills it live.
+sargenttourette's although new song nobody speak is good but shadow made the beat so hard not to like. El-p has just changed since first rtj. That lame ass song with gangsta boo?? Horrible. That shadow beat is sick but it's dj shadow so...
+Ol Jerz Bastard ok sorry I prefer fun crusher plus and fantastic damage over hearing elp rap with gangster boo about cock in the mouth all day. And most rtj fans are hipsters, elp wears that jean jacket to appeal to the them. I'll stick to his solo stuff and leave rtj for the hipsters. Thanks for your criticism.
Wow. Talk about integrity as an artist. What comes from the heart reaches the heart. I've always been a fan but damn...his best album is his latest? Rare as a unicorn across all genres. This dudes purpose and gift to his listeners is inspiring. I can't wait to catch this fool in Ft. Lauderdale. I'm going to go ape shit. Thanks Aesop Rock, this ones a doozy
Who would give thumbs down? I listen to this album everyday at work for years now. Does not get old and I learn something new in the lyrics every few days
Why does the Jack Nicholson/Jack Torrance puppet look so damn accurate. It's that smug face. Awesome, _awesome_ album video, and a stellar as hell album.
I just wanted to say if you are reading this, your music has changed my whole life in this odd way that has been so helpful. It's funny how your words seem to be the umbilical cord only. They lead back to a world that is immense in its expression, the words doing only the best they can. -Michael
The journey this album takes you on is stellar. If you get the chance read up on what Aes was going through and how he just put it ALL out there like therapy. So much respect for this man
I just want to comment that I am sad that there was an ad during this video. I want to write more but I'm procrastinating already from finishing my poem. Please let's all go finish our WIP.
I would venture to say in my humble opinion, this is one of the finest hip hop records and records in general ever created. The record & video are epic. Thank you for putting this up. Cheers!!(A)
Gregory Furness ? I consider this better than both of those... is that okay with you? Infact I didn't really like RTJ2. The first one was phenomenal but number 2 isn't as god.

Hope things are going well
Right here with ya bro
Hey, you're not alone but just keep your head up and things will get better
+paul sallee posts like this make me want to recommend shit like b dolan sage francis immortal technique
i remember before i really watch anime years ago i was in a best buy and bought berserk volume 1 and that changed me lol
+Gerald Wiseman I first heard him on a DJ Krush track, same for Mr. Lif. Fwiw, I had stopped listening to hiphop with the advent of 'bling'.
Have you commented this before on another Aes video?
ReppeNThA707
Entirely possible, I don't keep track of these things. I'll probably do it again too.
Aesop Rock is Stanley Kubrick of rap. I have to research as I listen.
For real. You can pull so much more meaning from almost every single bar with a little bit of effort. It's like he purposefully is dialing it back a little so that you can keep up.
If u don't your not listening... 👊
@@chrisford6529 thats real
nice comparison. I agree!
dude I been listening to Aesop for like 20 years and I STILL hear new things and references when I listen to him that I've never caught before.. even on his older albums which I've heard 100s of times I still catch interesting things I never noticed before. Imo this is why Aes is one of the best rappers. Its not the same thing over and over and theres a ton to pick apart in his music although he does have certain themes in a lot of music (isolation and anxiety..etc)
I started listening to Aesop Rock in 2002, and he's one of the rare emcees whose music gets better every album.
And still is....
After the drop of ITS. Been listening to ace since 2009 and he truly never misses
"Cherry?"
"No."
"Whip?"
"Yes."
My man
i should give a shit less...
"My hair was underwhelming, my juice was fucking great."
"Party over here, I'll be over there."
"I used a folded map to find the juice in the first"
Aesop is king.
Aesop spits better than most people's favorite three MC's combined.
Em tech and hopsin?
Far better than any of them, Sean.
NicDoesDumbThings I like him but Eminem is way better (in my opinion
NicDoesDumbThings Oh yea and futuristic
Sean they aren't even in his realm let alone on his level. Futuristic and Eminem don't hold a candle to Aesop Rock.
Need a Aesop Rock & Run The Jewels collab album now
+J Santo I doubt killer Mike gives a fuck though.. I mean who isn't fucked with now days? I feel like anyone who was affiliated with wm could actually dig being on a list or def jux at that. Aesop is too skilled to let them catch him speaking about important shit.
+J Santo bitch, are you stupid?
+Joshua Jackson brutal lol
One man's terrorist is another man's revolutionary. Pretty sure you could classify the "Founding Fathers" as terrorists and people still seem to love them.
that would never happen
This guy is a Hip Hop god
Hello, I'm Shelley Duvall, and this is the best rap album of 2016.
+BenyoBoy HEEEEEERE'S AESOP
Opinions.
dfd
Opinions are onions with pins in them.
CHURRRRRRRRRR my ninja :)...
This Sayers lived in my ear holes constant since I smashed Ketamine....
While smashing rails of Ketamine :D
(Which explains a lot) :P
aesop the only rapper ever that makes his verses sound like prose and works in the description and dialogue so well into his songs that you'd think it's a novel and not a song
Fuck the bullshit, I'm buying this even though I can download for free somewhere. Support what you love.
Word.
that's exactly how I feel. I need aes to take my money now. he deserves it
+blah are we supporting the artist or enabling the addict?
+Dmitry Timroth haha I guess it matters to us, I wish it mattered to them
+blah Labour Days was the first record bought when I started working because I wanted to give him my money
I hope the hip hop community put some RESPECK ON AES' NAME, STOP SLEEPIN ON HIS NAME
hahaha
Hahahaha Oh shit!
thatsthejoke.jpeg
Wait, he's a legend in the underground scene. Nobody is sleeping on Aesop Rock.
Remless Mr 5 squirts of gorilla piss I always just assumed it was because he's a pretty niche artist, but I guess if we're talking strictly about publicity, he doesn't get much.
“I pay a guy to lean over steepled fingers and convince me to pay him for his teas and tinctures.” - Aesop
That’s poetry right there.
Used to draw….hard to admit that I used to draw….That shit hits hard
How many other artists/labels will give you a free stream of an entire album before it's official release date? I fucking love RSE and Aesop Rock.
+crephotos not that aesop rock isn't great but this isn't uncommon at all
+atcquentin the longform video for the whole album is pretty dope though
Shit, I was just listening to a stream of Schammash's Triangle, a full triple album. On Soundcloud, pre-release! It is a pretty cool thing to do, though I haven't seen artists releasing full music videos for their albums, so props to Aesop and Rob for this.
I think I prefer the Go Karts though.
@@nico.f.Yeah, but do they come with entire recreations of the shining with puppets? probably not lol
i like to think this was all recorded in his barn
If I remember the story right he spent most of the time writing this album at a friends barn in Sumner, WA. Soo... you're not far off :)
Qb3nsis haha yeah exactly! thats what i meant
Thats so dope. I would calmly said "Hi Ian." and then left him alone
:)
Wait, is no one else amazed that they recreated the entirety of The Shining with puppets?
I'm not that crazy it is clearly jack the dull boy to carry drugs good call
Yep. Skateboards, sloppy psychedelics and big numbers.
Thanks for illuminating me.... I was curious as to what in the actual fuck I was watching
bighugejake holy shit!!! It makes so much more sense now, watched half the video before I saw this comment. Props.
i feel like the only ppl who wouldn't have noticed would be ppl who haven't watched the shining/havent watched in many years
this is already one of the best albums I've listened to this year
One of?
THE BEST of the year.
My favourite hip hop album of all time. Aes already made insane albums, but this is on another level. Not one filler song on the whole thing.
Ive been hearing about Aesop Rock a lot, but no one told me he was this damn good lol
look up hail mary mallon
Or Lice. Homeboy Sandman is wicked too.
rhyme sayer
@@sonofamachinegun8568I had a bad first impression of Homeboy Sandman but after listening to him on those Lice projects really changed my mind. He's real slick with a lot of his lines
I just gotta say this album in its entirety sounds like one brilliantly composed song. Aes chose a great line-up in terms of which sings follow which.
This is honestly one of the best album videos ever made.
Our compliments to all who created this impeccably conceived video.
Shelly Duvall is so accurately portrayed lol
man, so much love in the comments... so nice to scroll down for once...
+25manfredo Welcome to the Aes side of the tube brother.
Well then scroll down to THIS bitch!
25manfredo Aesop fans be nice yo
holy shit. haven't listened to aesop in forever. this album is incredible.
Need to tell time by the sun more I have seen so many colors
Yes, so good
Whole album amazing of course, but Dorks man.. the beat plus the flow and the lyrics. Thank you so much Aesop. I've been using your music to cope with life since high school and from age 15 to age 30 it has consistently meant just as much to me. (Album purchase incoming).
+TheWatsonGreen hell yeah. im old too. listening since way back. trading tapes!
I've got in on CD, love the lyrics and poster, sleeve and art. GREAT STUFF! Probably gonna buy it on vinyl.
Since 2018 I've been listening to cope w life as well. I really hope I get the chance to see aesop live one day
Seriously Aes. Never quit, you're the most honest lyricist there is... all the while challenging your listeners to use their brains to comprehend and understand the message you're putting forth whether its deep and personable or over all relatable.... or just complete joke and "ahahha"... salute to you
If you write software for a living try listening to this while you work. I go into a trance for some reason. It's awesome.
All them analog sounds and digital instruments.
"Back in the ' 90s used to Ollie up a curb"?
"This life is hard to bare, Party over here? .....I'll be over there"?
This is the best Hip Hip album of the decade, hands down. I've always loved Aesop but I've never seen him produce a full concept album like this (or maybe I just couldn't put it together)
You are the Fucking God of lyric and flow Aesop and I dare someone to challenge that statement because I'd love to hear their irrational explanation saying otherwise. I've been battling people since 1982 and have rarely lost any of them. I don't so much any more because it trigger mania because I'm bipolar......so I can relate when you talk about a Lamictal rash!
Aesop Rock and Brotha Ali, the worlds 2 most underrated rappers!
+Eriq Scott Labour days was a concept album and imo had a stronger concept
Amen brotha!!
+Sam Wilson It's been my favorite Album of all time since I found it years ago.
I have it downloaded on anything of mine that plays music.
Damias Mcdonald Likewise I even got the vinyl
That's frrresh considering it's an actual album which is so rare these days. Glad it wasn't "The Impossible Mixtape Kid"

+mytagdr Same man
im so in love with this record. its nice to hear something that sounds new.
There's a bobcat up the road, tell your contacts

You get frightened finding happiness can drive away the movement

+chaosinorderrr real chilling moment.
+chaosinorderrr Which track is this on?
+Dawson Kramer last verse on Molecules b
+Josh Crane i feel like you could paraphrase any aes verse, and that sentence would apply, but yeah, fuck. That shit hits you hard. Both beautiful and unsettling af
Dude I thought there was a bug on my screen
That was fantasttic start to finish. Not one bad song
This album really Shines
Heeeeere's Rocky!
Best hip hop album of 2016 so far!
I see you every where.
+Cohen Morano I'm a travellin man... Moving through places space and time.
Ha
+TRAVIS MAREK ayye my boy Travis!
I think it still remains that. I think De La Souls new record is also a contender.
I wish I wasn't so critical of music. I listen to everything but I'm hardly ever satisfied. But I have to say, this shit is AMAZING.
+Mark M agreed. its a breath of fresh air.
+Mark M stop being critical. Is your name Bob Dylan or 2pac, no so you really have nothing to be critical about.
Jason Byrd lol I meant that I'm just really picky about what I listen to. I/m starting to realize that I don't enjoy a lot of music. But when I do, I go all in.
+Jason Byrd
Are you saying that only famous musicians can have opinions concerning music?
+Michael Robinson no but critical is the wrong word. It's like the Yelp South Park episode.
Can't believe this is already 4 years old, this is the one that sent me down the rabbit hole, now he's my favorite artist, right beside slug
My daughter is my music concert buddy and she turned me on to atmosphere and felt and we saw atmosphere at a small venue in Rapid City South Dakota in 2010 and about 2 years ago I fell into the Rhymesayers rabbit-hole how I do not do that anytime sooner I don't know but I've just made it homie in this rabbit hole because Aesop is amazing f****** amazing
so tell me, is Put Your Quarter Up your favorite Aes track too? so good mang, Aes + Slug + MF Doom, no wonder it made the THUG1 soundtrack
Album really starts at 0:00
Jamie Fearon can you hook me up with an ending timestamp? I gotta work tomorrow, I dont wanna be stuck on this video all night.

@@chemicalimbalance7030 The joke that took 2 years to hit, and was worth it.
Ashen btw I was fired from my job for being a complete no show about a week in. At least I was listening to a good album, though.
undoubtedly chillin among the best albums ever
This record is the best. Front to back, fantastic. Not common this day and age.
just to let yall know, buying a physical copy is worth it,
SegalTek Comes with a poster of the cover. Pretty sweet.
WORD!
I have the vinyl record
I have it on cd and vinyl *self high-five*
The vinyls are pink and green
Holy fuck what just happened. This is the most amazing thing I've ever heard
Have you heard Spirit World Field Guide yet? Wall-to-wall bangers!
Blood Sandwhich and Get out the Car might be new favorite sounds for another decade.
Aesop is an oasis to my soul.
Modern classic. A major highlight in Aesop's discography.
+Strictly Music It sounds amazing, right? I really dug Hail Mary Mallon, but I'm glad Aesop Rock is back.
Love "The Unseen."
Darren Katomski down wit the quasimoto crew i see?
+Strictly Music Yes sir.
This is goddam genius. Lyrics, bars, schemes, cadence, AND implied visualizations. Fucking awesome
This album has only gotten better as its aged
that shining remake is insane!!
that "coach on the diamond dragging 27 inches of aluminum behind him" line blew my mind. perfect delivery
I like how aesop rock lyrics make you reflect on personal experiences.
easily the most lyrical hip hop album of 2016 so far. pretty sure it already takes the cake though.
BRILLIANT!...and i´m not a hip hop fan...but i can recognize talent and quality
followed Aesop rock for like 6-7 years and then I stopped and completely forgot about him now today I was watching a Sway interview with Shia Labeouf and his name was mentioned I instantly checked for the old school underground shit and saw he had a new release, this might be my favorite day of 2016!
Okay Rhymesayers Entertainment,
Much applause in extending the "Full Album Stream".
Great PR flow, wonderful execution, and the album will surely sell itself once the quality of content is witnessed.
Best Release of 2016 ...Easy
Agreed
Maybe. i'm holding out for RTJ3 but i don't even know if that will beat this.
This is a masterpiece… the music, the visuals… the trip. What a way to spend an audible/visual adventure.
RIP CAMU TAO. RIP CAMU TAO
Get out of the Car brought me to tears. fuck a pause, fucka no homo.
Who would give thumbs down? I listen to this album everyday at work for years now. Does not get old and I learn something new in the lyrics every few days
Keeps evolving, still Aesop.
"They will chop you down just to count your rings! Just to count your rings! Just to count your rings!"👌
That's why you GOTTA GO FAST
omg sanic
sane an sic
Is i sonic? I thought it was like a tree, because you can count the tree's age from the rings inside. Might be wrong though.
+Paal Ressem I believe you are right it has nothing to do with sonic
Why does the Jack Nicholson/Jack Torrance puppet look so damn accurate. It's that smug face.
Awesome, _awesome_ album video, and a stellar as hell album.
This whole album has an awesome feel.
and it feels like a return to more classic Hip Hop drums.
Aesops flow is on point as always
His style and lyrics are one of a kind.
First time hearing his music, bumpin bro.
"They will chop you down just to count your rings" Aes the man
Probably one of my favorite albums in a really long time. So amazing. I love it.
This album was my introduction to Aesop rock . He's now one of my top 10 favourite rappers
Absolutely phenomenal.
I just wanted to say if you are reading this, your music has changed my whole life in this odd way that has been so helpful. It's funny how your words seem to be the umbilical cord only. They lead back to a world that is immense in its expression, the words doing only the best they can. -Michael
One of the most underrated label and artist.
Aesop has been putting out such high quality of work for soooo long! Highest level of integrity. I'm grateful. Never stop Brother.
The journey this album takes you on is stellar. If you get the chance read up on what Aes was going through and how he just put it ALL out there like therapy. So much respect for this man
Yesssssss 🌺 exactly... touche'
I just want to comment that I am sad that there was an ad during this video. I want to write more but I'm procrastinating already from finishing my poem. Please let's all go finish our WIP.
ALBUM OF THE YEAR
The song syncs with the movie's atmosphere...
*even the scenes change in time with it*
I would venture to say in my humble opinion, this is one of the finest hip hop records and records in general ever created. The record & video are epic. Thank you for putting this up. Cheers!!(A)
This album cant come to my mail box soon enough
best HipHop album of the past 3 years.

That Other Angry Dude Kendrick gets 2012 with GKMC
YourPalHDee Agreed, this and Testuo and youth gets the past 3
um.... both the run the jewels albums came out in the last 3 years... idiot
Gregory Furness ? I consider this better than both of those... is that okay with you?
Infact I didn't really like RTJ2. The first one was phenomenal but number 2 isn't as god.
The Hello Kirby Tour was mental. Think it was the first time he did a show in Montreal. PLEASE COME BACK.
This album is perfect no skips , the production, the content, the way Aes flows on these beats this is my fav Aes Project!
+André The Weird he has become so much more accessible on this project, amazing!
