I'm a piano teacher, lots of Bach over the years, and have also been obsessed with Aes since Labor Days. Never have I ever thought these two geniuses could work together. Your work is seriously brilliant and extremely fun! Will be ready for what's next.
Listen, Bach was in the studio to rerecord some parts. As I understand it, he had some input on the final cut too so don't listen to whatever they say. Bach isn't just a ghost writer, he will show up and hop on a track if the project is right. Example, this project is underwritten by his label so yeah
You have brought musical genius full circle. Thank you. I need an MF DOOM and classical mash up. MF CHOOPIN? Wolfgang Amadeus DOOMzart? I trust you entirely for the fire.
Reason #420 why we need to support of our inner city public school music programs. This is a work of genius walking straight down the streets in a pair of Air Jordans while rockin' a powdered wig.
Thank you, this is fantastic! A lot of care, work, passion and love made this. Both of The Masters featured, in this inspired mashup, would appreciate it 🎉
Thanks to all the good comments I feel the same, this was posted on me and my wifes anniversary. Thank you for sharing this with the world, we need it.
Welcome to the world of Mashups. lol Sometimes they're called Versus, sometimes they're called [artist] x [artist]. Aesop with Bach, Sewerslvut with death grips, Tool with Taylor Swift, so on and so forth.

Aesop one of the best to ever do it. I remember being obsessed with DefJux for the longest time. Bazooka Tooth / Float. Those Were The Best Days Of My Life !!!
Just scrolled through hundreds of comments - all giving the highest of praises. I cannot stress how happy this album makes me and its good to see that others are in agreement. It's just so good, this has become a daily listen, at least once!
The feverish passion of two genius artists. This is musical time travel. It almost slows Aesop’s ADHD flow down by a 1/16th of a beat signature. Well done. Holy fuc.k
Are you out of your mind?? You can't drop something like this on YT and take over my playlist for the next month this easily. haha. Aesops grungy voice over those smooth Bach sounds, yikes! This is an ear orgasm masterpiece.
I consider myself an amateur connoisseur of mashup concepts. I know the big hitters of the last decade or so. Jaydiohead, Wu/Beatles, etc. I could go on. This is by far the very best mashup concept album I have ever heard. I just listened to it three times through. It’s astonishing. An absolute masterpiece. Per the top comment on this video now states, “it feels like I just found religion”. I have no better one liner sentiment to improve upon that. People will be talking about this one for decades. Recap of my first few listen throughs: raised eyebrow, mouth ajar, with the occasional “oh my god” and “No fucking way”. Track 8, Big Bang, is on repeat.
Saw this in my recommended and put it on just to listen to a few minutes and satisfy my curiosity. Ended up listening to the whole thing. Really great job!
I'm usually not into putting rappers bars on your own beats but this is first one I've seen where someone clearly really understands aesop's flow. This is the kind of badass creativity i've been looking for in shit like this, nice one dawg 👌
This is definitely top notch. But there are tons of great examples of laying acapella versions of songs over sampled and/or new beats. Repurposing existing versions of instrumentals & acapellas is a quintessentially hip-hop endeavor. We have to tolerate the failed attempts so we can enjoy the successes.
@@jean-lucvautour9789 imagine you're about to go on stage and perform for the first time, but before they call you out, they call out special surprise guests Aesop Rock and Johann Sebastian Bach for a surprise duo set. My music obviously doesn't belong in the same category as theirs, few peoples music actually would, but, maybe it still has some sort of artistic merit idk. Appreciate it either way if you do or you don't, we're all still one to me
This is incredible, bravo non-a. It opens a whole new dimension with both Bach and Aesop shining, I would have never expected this. What a genius move to make this mashup, and what talent to make it work. Aesop Rock is one of my favorite hip hop artists, and Bach is one of my favorite composers. Thanks, needed this

Neither Bach nor Rock's genius is overshadowing the other. No chic flashy gimmicks or theatrics despite the concept. This is pure heat.
