Your videos are always full of incredible detail. I do struggle a lot to maintain my lasso guard from standing opponents. I hit the DLR and tripod sweeps a lot. I like to combine my lasso with DLR and X-guard!
1&2 I'm very excited to try tomorrow. The tripod sweep I do alot but I grab the ankle I'm not kicking out and when he falls I can set up my over under pass. My favorite lasso sweep adds dlr on the same side as lasso, then I spider the other arm for the sweep. Big OSS Thank you
I just wish that I had time to go down and talk with you about a lot of stuff and then show you some stuff that I’ve been doing and then really work on a lot of things because you could improve me a lot and I could help you in things that you don’t really know very much about because of my skill set of what I’ve done and I think you’re so awesome and I think you’re great
Hi professor Marcos! I do the amazing techniques you taught me over the years, like lasso de la riva and try to sweep! I'll be trying these techniques today! Miss you!
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU yes subscribed. Anything on transitions to other open guards from lasso would be great. Also loved your escapes material from side control. Other escape focus videos would be appreciated. Big OSS
I really like your 1st option, especially to setup for the arm bar. I never really thought about that before. When opponent stands up, my favorite is to keep lasso, drop leg between opponents legs and bring my hips under opponent for double ankle sweep. Appreciate your videos and instructionals (I have two). Big OSS
I'll definitely try #3 this week, since you don't even need to start in lasso. If you have a foot on the hip, maybe if i'm playing a half spider to slow down a big opponent, when he goes to stand i can take the foot out of the bicep, leave the other foot on the hip and do the #3 sweep.
Bought your lasso mastery DVD, great instructional. With short legs, still have difficulty implementing the lasso guard on a standing opponent. It's hard to keep the posture broken down which greatly reduces the effectiveness of my lasso as their arms are vertical instead of horizontal
@@BIGOSS.JIU-JITSU been having so much more success with standing opponents with lasso! Would be great to see what you do when bigger opponents sprawl on your lasso and try to smash pass? Thanks again for the great content 🤙🤙
Hey Marcos! Love your videos ✊🏼 In past videos you talked about switching your secondary grip to the lapel when the opponent stands up. I was just wondering how you keep your non lasso leg from getting stuffed if you switch your secondary grip like that? Thanks 🙏
Hi professor BiG OSS. or anyone pls help. For the second sweep, do u really need to bring your body all the way around? It is a lot of work and the sweep is not guaranteed on much larger opponents. Does it work if we keep the free leg in the middle? Or can you pls explain the reason besides this movement? I suppose the sweeping power is greater when the body is more to that side?
