Master Lepri is my personal pick for greatest Grappler of all time, it's always an honor to listen to him talk Jiu-Jitsu. Also, I used Sit-up guard to win my grappling match against Robert E. Lee, and thereby win the Civil War. Now, I'm off to the theater, thanks for the details guys.
Thank you for bringing this content to your subscribers Jon. I always knew Lucas Lepri was amazing but didn’t know he taught so well too. Definitely going to buy his sit-up guard instructional now.
This is the best present for Christmas. Huge thanks! Ive been studying Lucas’ Sit-up guard system for most of my training career. Now I got to know a bit more about his system. CONTEXT! That’s the dimond!huge huge thank you I really appreciate it!
After the video I went back to the beginning to see the match footage, he didn't even have the sleeve and he missed dlr hook as well but still sweeped the larger guy, great stuff!
I think the idea behind the lapel grip is to keep his opponents center of gravity glued to his chest/shoulder at all times, which makes manipulating the position a lot easier if and when there needs to be adjustments, like in the 2nd scenario when he in unable to have the delariva hook in anymore. Having the lapel allows him to total control to rock the weight back up.. the other hand is always free to grip the sleeve as well. That is what I imagine anyways.. oss
He explains that you should hide your far leg, leave the near leg very tight, and immediately death grip his far arm when he goes to remove your far leg. I also came to this video to solve the same problem
This is probably one of the top five BJJ channels on RUclips. Great job Job, Lucas is a legend! 🔥🔥

This is awesome, next level for this already awesome channel right here.
Thanks buddy was great having Lepri on!
I’ve watched this like five times now. Really looking forward to trying it when our place opens again. Seems to be a good synergy with half guard.
I also love that he also showed how to actually get into the guard safely!
Let me know how it goes when you get to test it out!
So many people teach dela riva on your hip instead of flat. Glad to hear flat is legit and has a Lepri stamp of approval.
THANKS JON & LUCAS FOR MAKING THIS HAPPEN. OSS
Hey Jon could you ask Prof. Lepri if he can do a sit up guard adapted for nogi? All your
Skin in the game . Thanks for the content and keep up the great work.
Thank you buddy, I’ll keep them coming for you.
Thanks for the content Jon! Wow!
No problem buddy hope you enjoy it!
Lepri and Cobrinha, I think they have the best sit up guards in the game
For sure different styles both really good, my favorite is the Lepri variation though. I think it’s more versatile
2 words. Game Changer. Thanks!

Wonderful instructions,thank you!
No problem happy to help!
I always find guards that control one leg in any ways are genrally the most effective in control eg: (SLX, Sit up, Half, Koala)
I especially like Lucas variation of sit up guard it’s so easy to distribute the weight of your opponent off of you and come up.
what up behind the name?
100% pure gold thank u seeing this video for free
Awesome, thank you for this
No problem buddy hope you like the video
Dropping knowledge, Andrew wiltse brought me here👊🏽💯

Very useful! Thank u jon
No problem buddy hope the details help
Hey John, Can u make a video to show how to get the pants grip and other side Sleeve grip? Thanks
Awesome details
Thank you so much!!!
hey Jon, do you know why Lucas favour's the lapel grip instead of passing the far sleeve to the other hand?
I think the idea behind the lapel grip is to keep his opponents center of gravity glued to his chest/shoulder at all times, which makes manipulating the position a lot easier if and when there needs to be adjustments, like in the 2nd scenario when he in unable to have the delariva hook in anymore. Having the lapel allows him to total control to rock the weight back up.. the other hand is always free to grip the sleeve as well. That is what I imagine anyways.. oss
Great video
Good stuff!
So awesome !
Thanks buddy hope all is well and get to hang out again soon
Seems like Daniel didn't have to edit the shit out of this.
Lucas é Monstruuuu 💪🏻👊🏻 Oss 🥋
Jon Thomas eu gosto muito da suas posições que você mostra . Deus abençoe sua vida
Thank you!
14:40 knee cut defense- pull them on top of you and kick over
What if the person on the top do the backstep?. He can go to the reverse halfguard and smash the person which is on the bottom.
Haha im going to have remember that one!
Lol poor Daniel 🤣
Oops 😅😂😂
Still waiting on that 3rd hook video man.
I don’t think that’s coming anytime soon 😅
I need this knowledge
Thanks again
my issue is getting the grips to setup the delariva , the bigger opponents outgrip me with their own death grips
He explains that you should hide your far leg, leave the near leg very tight, and immediately death grip his far arm when he goes to remove your far leg. I also came to this video to solve the same problem
Lepri is legend
I wish I could Super Like this
Veri good
Dear Jon, Who will be the next guest? Invite Keenan Cornelius:)
Haha not sure but want to get some more big names on for sure
TAAAANGS!!!!

Poor Daniel ;)
Im a big guy and Im studying this so I can beat small guys muwahaha >:)
Nivel
Monster BJJ channel. Show me one with better content.
I wish you would have put in a much larger opponent. The guy in blue is so small and skinny, I can’t see how this would work on a much larger person.
You have to bite on one limb like a pit bull.
