Some great guys on your channel recently man...this is great.. love the lapel grip detail .. also the detail about the transfer of the weight onto the far leg.. great content...
@MrBittercoke so im no teacher but ill try to explain what i do the best i can. I also want to reiterate what the teacher here was saying that you cant go slow about it you have to keep progressing into your options. As i sit up and have a leg inside their legs and a leg outside their legs im going to reach my inside arm and grab their far wirst. Im gonna feed it to my outside arm that's wrapping their leg to give them a compromising position like they are reaching thru their own legs. Thats the main difference. There no lapel so you go for a strong wrist control wrapping the legs. The thing to remember is they have lots of options in response but you have lots of options to their response. You are going to just have to play thru all the outcomes over and over working out the scenarios to make it usefull. If they make the wrong decision you could sweep them forward or come into a double leg with forward head pressure similar to whats shown here. Maybe depending on their pressure you sweep them over your shoulder backwards and wrestle to top with urgency. Maybe you never get the option to go shin to shin and you have to modify the move which is more common for me personally. Maybe you don't get the wrist and have to focus more on a single leg approach to build up. Maybe they shut you down right away and now your in half guard or deep half going out the back. Point is to be good with this no-gi is like any other move, which takes a lot of practice with good partners going live thru all the scenarios. WRIST CONTROL FED TO THE ARM WRAPPING THE LEG. I hope you can work with that explanation.
I love Fabio, while some guys fight for old and new school, he is always improving and talking the truth. Thank´s for sharing.

That upside down grip is interesting, adding it to the arsenal
61 yr old dude loving this.
I think this is good. Ive been using a less technical version of this. Im taking notes. I like using this no-gi as well.
How do you modify it for no gi?
