In other words, Destiel IS canon, it's just that it's the variety of Destiel where both of them are silently pining away thinking the other could never love them back, while poor Sam is stuck trying to wade through the awkwardness, and weighing the pros and cons of just throwing himself into traffic to have some peace from these two oblivious idiots for 5 minutes.
