Terry you’re absolutely right. I really wish this ship had the manual 150’s. I bought it from the shipyard and enjoying it for the most part. I will switch to HE to deal with the destroyers, then back to AP.
Love the review. An the regular camo then with the historic camo that’s awesome. I think some camo’s make or break a ship. There’s probably better wording for it. I love the first match is epicenter. It’s a brutal map in huge ship like the Yoshino that’s a cruiser that has less armor the Ägir. No concealment to speak of with bb’s that can reach across the whole cap. You did a great job an had some good help .

There’s such a huge difference between 9 and 10. I rarely play tier 9(doesn’t help I only have Iowa) because between my skill level and the jump I hate being put into tier 10 matches. I mainly play tiers 5-8. I’m still a newer player. I’ve only been playing about 4 months now.
Even without the 150mm guns, it still seems like this ship prefers to brawl instead of snipe. Like all German BBs, you have to choose the right moment to move up and start brawling.
Terry, Great input especially regarding secondary guns. I have Siegfried and I have had some success. I am going to change my setup to secondary auto’s instead of belt armor ect.. I am trying the play style like I play Scharnhorst as as a later in game push ship with support. Stu [ARRR]
Siegfried gets the precise aim and 380s, which makes her probably a bit more viable at range. Ägir does struggle, semi-pens with the 305s do about 500dmg on a BB, so you often end up with a 2k salvo.
4:22- Terry, do you remember many month ago when I believe u we’re doing the Odin review and you said that “these guns didn’t really exist and you could not find anything on them” and I made a comment that u responded to saying “actually the “Germans” did have preliminary designs for a 12” gun which was indeed a possible option that was ultimately not pursued for what became the Scharnhorst and Gneisanau. So I knew these guns were indeed drawn up even! BUT I never knew one was actually built. Would you mind sharing the citation for this information with me? I would love to look into it further.

T9 is always tricky. The only T9 ships I personally like are destroyers, for everything else it's a constant uphill battle due to the a armour and firepower leap

Hi Terry once again an amazing video and congrats on the 4K subs, just wanted to ask you what your thoughts are on battlecruisers being added to the game since I think they announced it being added to the pc version so it might be added into blitz but in short are you going to be interested in them when they eventually get added?
We already have a bunch of battlecruisers - Hood, the various Amagis, Dunkerque, ... Historically, the idea of battlecruisers hasn't really survived, once actual battleships have become sufficiently quick. It's essentially a trade-off of lighter armour for more speed. Personally, I would prefer mobility over armour, because you can compensate by positioning, but once you reach upper tiers, it becomes much less of a bonus, because even tanks like a Kurfürst make over 30kn.
Hey Terry...can you please get the guys at Wargaming to make this game more like their PC one? Larger maps...accurate ranges and larger battles with more people...it will be so much more fun
Scharnhorst is a great T7 brawler imo. Odin is extremely powerful for a T8 if played right, but they're both battlecruisers, not "sit broadside on in front of half the enemy team and tank" sort of ships. Don't quite like the Ägir, due to the mentioned downsides and the tier. If you're comfortable in T8, Odin is a great ship.
No offense but that armor on the Agir that you dont like allowed you to get away with some pretty bad decision making in that 2nd battle. I think its a little better than you give it credit for however I do get what youre trying to say. As someone who doesn't buy tier 9 ships and plays a Henry, hearing you complain about this ship comes off odd :) like I said no offense just an observation. Subscribed, keep up the content.

Tell how if at all possible, I can get my German Battleships with the High-end 12.8cm/61 KM40s auto-secondaries [Odin, Siegfried, Großer Kurfürst], lead their targets when firing at long range (over 7km with secondary build), I already have them set at the MAXIMUM negative dispersion [ -30% dispersiion= -10% from Module and -20% from Franz Hipper]. Do you know any trick that I can use that will help them hit a destroyer traveling at full speed…?
No, that's part of the problem - the auto-secondaries have their own targeting algo, you can't really influence it. They work very well against larger targets, but against DDs it can be harder. Look at the pre-intro footage. The first salvo against Shima landed miles off track, probably because he was accelerating out of a turn. Second one on point, since he was sailing straight at constant speed. That's one of my biggest issues with her and Siegfried, the missing manual 150s.
Matchmaking doesn't guarantee that, I think. And even if it does, it could be Worcester, Smolensk, stuff like that, and you're still there with a huge "shoot me" sticker for the BBs.

In the settings, change the language to "national", then you get voice messages depending on the ship you sail. Except Pan-Asian and Pan-European, they don't have their own tracks.
Yeah it was pointless. I came here cuz agir will be avaliable to get at shipyard but seeing that she hasn't the guns she is suposed to have and already knowing that auto secundaries sucks to get hits against DDs I think she is just crap
The precise aim is rather valuable to German BBs, especially at higher tiers, where everyone digs in, mostly. Same here, haven't seen a supercruiser yet that I like.

I have one more very important comment/suggestion/observation for wargaming. I figure since you are a community contributor maybe u can communicate this to them. It would be just for the game to introduce Sonar III I to the game, with a range of 5.5.km Sonar I= 3.5km Sonar II= 4.5km Sonar III= 5.5km Every other consumable has 3 versions of itself. Except the sonar. Thus excellent ships like Leberacht Mass get screwed with useless sonar I and engine boost I. FOR GOD SAKE!! Throw in a smoke!
In general CCs make suggestions but WG rarely listens to them when it comes to balancing ships, they have some sort of balancing spreadsheet and follow it. So yeah that change won’t happen anytime soon
Agir is vulnerable as paper. Even with an elite commander with boosted traits and the worthless futuristic camo which doesn’t do anything for it. Been playing this thing for three days now and it’s garbage. The gimmicky secondary boost belongs on a BB not on this loser ship. You either set all parameters to guns and get very poor ship performance or you set everything to keep the Hull alive and the guns are worthless, terrible spread. Even wimpy destroyers guns can do significant damage to Agir very quickly.

My knowledge about secondaries are not great but agir's secondaries are probably the fastest firing among all secondaries in the game
They're the same you get on Odin, and similar to those on the Kurfürst. 4.5s base reload.
